Chapter: Story 12: I Dream of a Promotion
So, Big Blue is familiar enough with Rouyaa to recognize her despite a lack of powers and 40+ years of aging. Hmmmmm…..

Well Jeanie you got some explaining to do? Also when is the release date for Wolfpac?
Wolfpac has no release date of of now. At least, not that CD has told me.
@Robert: the Blue Djinn is around the same age as Haji. he knows all the genies as well. so when it comes to knowing Ms. Eden’s real name, it was as simple as granting a wish. p.s., I thought the chapter’s name was I Dream of a Escape.

That was the previous chapter, where Jeanie was trapped in Haji’s palace. This one started with that scene where Guano visits Asha, and tries to promote her to Genie Lord to take his spot for when he becomes the next Haji, but she refuses.
Also, I suppose to could say that Jeanie has been “promoted” to Blue Djinn…
Well, that should give Ms Eden or Rouyaa a hint that there something wrong with Jeanie, because, Jeanie not suppose to know Ms Eden real name. We also don’t know for sure if Ms Eden even knows that Jeanie a Genie even or if she even suspects if Jeanie a Genie and as far as we know, Ms Eden hasn’t even seen her old totem or Genie bottle even either.
Oh, I have a really nasty idea of Ms Eden finding out that Jeanie is being possess the Blue Djinn and chooses to work a deal with him so she can become a Genie again. This would be a nasty twist to this story.
@CD Question about the future – If Jeannie is free of the Djinn’s control would she go back to her original red outfit or stay in the blue djinn’s outfit?

I think she’s pretty likely to consider this outfit rather verboten if/when she escapes from Big Blue’s control. It’s associated with herself being possessed and controlled against her will. No matter how sexy it might be…
As a German who speaks English fluently, I was very confused by your use of “verboten” there. I’m at a level where I don’t translate English anymore and just understand it. I looked about 5 mins at your comment to understand why it confuses me. That was a very weird experience for me.
Appollogies for my slight misuse of “verboten”. It does mean “forbidden, especially by an authority”, so it’s not quite the right word.
Has nothing to do with her look. And everything to do with the story. There’s precedence established for why this is a possibility.
Jehane (or whatever her name was from the last chapter) was branded a banished genie. Her punishment, besides her powers stripped/diminished, was her Pink outfit becoming Green. This is a mark of punishment as much as fashion.
With Jean, he/she is possessed by the Blue Djinn’s spirit. Even if the Blue Djinn leaves there will still be all of the power Jean collected inside of her. And, for her part, her punishment could be that Jean is marked as a Blue Djinn (wicked entity).
It would be in-theme and inline with the previous story CD wrote. And, personally, it wouldn be a wasted opportunity to not continue that trend. Think about it this way:
Jean is free of the Blue Djinn’s influence. But can’t make her dress pink again. It’s always blue. What’s worse – she has to meet Haji who recognizes the marks of the Blue Djinn. This would make Jean wary and try everything ‘not’ to come across as someone possessed by an evil spirit. Shenanigans and all.
tl;dr – there’s precedence set for why this change in appearance could happen to Jean. And, personally, i think it’s a wasted opportunity + a nice evolution of the character.
