The Blue Djinn is an evil genie who was apparently defeated by Lord Guano in the past. But now he's back, and he's angling to take down the Genie Lords... but how does Jeanie factor into his plans?
Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Guano is overlooking 1 key detail: the Blue Djinn shattered some of the genie totems, and took the souls of the genies themselves. how in Haji’s name is Jean gonna fix THAT kinda mess?!
I’m sure CD Rudd will invent some unique plot point to restore them, given that the lost souls of those genies are resurrect-able here. Seen it done before on a certain arabian nights game with a certain blue speedster.
Actually, the Blue Djinn didn’t take there souls, when he broke there Totems, he took there magic energy and they effectively die. When a Genie uses up all there magic energy they die. That why older Genie like Kazom use there magic very sparingly, there trying to conserve there magical energy so they don’t die.
The fact that those Genie die, is a pretty reason that there isn’t any recover for restoring them, unless CD want to go in that direction, otherwise no, it not going to happen.
Would Jean have all of Blue’s memories of what he did along with his magic? Unless so, we could get a few more problem cases like Clarence/Tiffany/”Red” lingering around.
As Robert has said, Jeanie memories is kind of hit and miss, she remember some things and doesn’t remember other things that the Blue Djinn did while he was in her body. Depending on what CD wants to do here, there are several different possibility here.
I suspect there is plenty of evidence of the things Blue did – if nothing else from the ghosts Blue inflicted on Jean, the question is will Jean be able to figure out how to undo them?
Wait, since blue and guano effectively got married while blue was in Jeanie’s body would blue now be their baby? It would explain the slight clothing style difference for Jeanie
We don’t currently know what the status of the baby is or what the relationship the baby is to either Guano or Jeanie. It could be anything from being a slave, there baby or the wife of Guano. Everything as clear as mud right now until we get some more information on this matter.
If the baby is the wife of Guano, their age difference isn’t a problem.
In twenty years or so she’ll be an adult and he’ll scarcely have changed at all.
In fact, it could be a happy marriage ending only when she dies of old age.
And if Blue is genuinely reformed and he wants a genie-wife, well, anyone can become a genie. All you need is a bottle.
The only loose end is that Blue had followers who may still be intent on carrying out ‘his’ original scheme to take over the world. A 20 year delay is only a minor setback for them as well.
He does takes his job as Genie Lord seriously, even if he still acts like a sack of dicks at times. Also I think him being a might humiliated by his former teacher’s recent actions has chipped away some of his stubbornness; he is being more cautious at the moment to avoid a major error again.
Plus I don’t think he wants to end up in the Pitt with his worst adversary for the reminder of his life nor leave Araceli or his lamp stuck in the potential danger of being crushed.
Guano and Jeanie’s matching white tops are a solid hint, as they started matching after Blue and Guano bonded. Jean’s bandeau was her trademark pink until Guano arrived and the patterning seen in the last two comics show a gradual transition to white occurs whenever the two are together.
Yet neither of them seems to have noticed the color change of their outfits. Jeanie (at the least) should be surprised by it and mention it. Maybe that will be the cue for Guano to explain what it means so we’ll all get to stop guessing whether they are married, bonded, or some other thing none of us has guessed that CD is planning to surprise us with.
Who’s to say Guano hasn’t noticed? He was born and raised a genie, would know what being bonded entails and probably considers it literally unremarkable, as in he sees no need to remark upon it. And why would Jeanie notice? She’s not in front of a mirror, nor is she in the habit of staring down at her chest — at least not lately. She may have noticed some effect depending upon how subtle it is but this is the first time she’s experienced it and she’s distracted by the two burly men waving sharp objects in her face. She has no reason to ask “Why do I get all tingly when I look at Guano?” when the obvious answer is fear.
C’mon! There are 4 genies in the room. Can’t anyone magically clean and sanitize that diaper? Or are we waiting for a genie who was born female to show up?
Actually, I don’t think he was going to hear or honor what Jeanie said until he saw the Genie Brain on the arm which represent ancient magic, that is what gave Jeanie at least some credence to what she was saying to Guano.
As for Jeanie’s name, I don’t think genies have last names, so there’s nothing for Jeanie to take from Guano. Not that she’d want his poopy name, anyway.
Appropos of nothing bird poop and bat poop both contain large amounts of ammonia, which makes them smell similar and also good fertilizers. “Guano” is like “manure”: both words originally meant fertilizer and eventually became euphemisms for the poop itself, with the added bonus that “manure” was originally a verb.
Baby Blue is blowing Guano a raspberry. It’s a little hard to see the spittle at the displayed resolution, though. If you click the image, you’ll see the full size version.
Well Jean you have a chance now where is Blues daughter she can vouch as a witness? So does Blue get a new name or jus keep calling her Blue
Azure, Periwinkle, or Bleue could do instead.
I already suggested Lavender, as it was the name of Blue in the Rule63 episode
I’ve been using “Baby Blue”.
I can picture a teenage Jeanie Jr. asking her mom why she named her Beebee.
To paraphrase an old song, “Is she Blue? Is she Blue? Ain’t this tat on my arm telling you?”
it kinda stuck didn’t it
In the last panel when the guy says Jean will be run through, you have run though.
He’s totally going to run her though, through.
(Will fix)

Guano doesn’t know that. Yet.
I’m sure CD Rudd will invent some unique plot point to restore them, given that the lost souls of those genies are resurrect-able here. Seen it done before on a certain arabian nights game with a certain blue speedster.

Which means the Blue Djinn is the Djinn equivalent of a vampire, stealing the magic of younger Djinn to prolong her life.
Would Jean have all of Blue’s memories of what he did along with his magic? Unless so, we could get a few more problem cases like Clarence/Tiffany/”Red” lingering around.
We don’t know, yet. I’d personally guess “no”, since she didn’t seem aware of what Blue was doing while in total control.
As Robert has said, Jeanie memories is kind of hit and miss, she remember some things and doesn’t remember other things that the Blue Djinn did while he was in her body. Depending on what CD wants to do here, there are several different possibility here.

Also her tops different from last page

For what it’s worth, it’s nice to see Guano do what’s right for everyone.
He does takes his job as Genie Lord seriously, even if he still acts like a sack of dicks at times. Also I think him being a might humiliated by his former teacher’s recent actions has chipped away some of his stubbornness; he is being more cautious at the moment to avoid a major error again.

And poof, the clothing patterns are gone!

Guano early warning system!
better be on best behavior
Jeanie’s brand was on the left arm. Baby Blue’s brand is on the right arm or is it on both arms?
Well, hopefully things will start getting better now.
will baby Blue be a bottle baby or will Jean have to ….never mind.
It’s Jeanie she’d transform Niel into Natalie for that purpose.
It would be funnier if she did it to Rodger.
C’mon! There are 4 genies in the room. Can’t anyone magically clean and sanitize that diaper? Or are we waiting for a genie who was born female to show up?
And so ends Jeanie bottle a fun good comic
Her top has lost its color; let us hope it is being erased from existence…
. . . I don’t know what to say here, Guano actually listened to the explanation and acted reasonably . . . he’s an imposter get him!
Actually, I don’t think he was going to hear or honor what Jeanie said until he saw the Genie Brain on the arm which represent ancient magic, that is what gave Jeanie at least some credence to what she was saying to Guano.
“Happy to oblige.” But is any of it above her skill set?
Do female genies take their husband’s name when they get married? Does this mean our girl’s name is now Jeanie Guano?
isn’t Guano short for bird poop?
so if so her name is Jennie Bird Poo – LOL
Guano means bird poop. 🙂
As for Jeanie’s name, I don’t think genies have last names, so there’s nothing for Jeanie to take from Guano. Not that she’d want his poopy name, anyway.
I thought it was just bat poop. So guano is the poop from any airborne creature?
I think that we have decided that it could be either bird or bat poop. Anyway, it the crap of one of those creature. What a thing to be called.
Mr. Bat Crap
or
Mr Bird Crap
Same difference.
Appropos of nothing bird poop and bat poop both contain large amounts of ammonia, which makes them smell similar and also good fertilizers. “Guano” is like “manure”: both words originally meant fertilizer and eventually became euphemisms for the poop itself, with the added bonus that “manure” was originally a verb.
ahh now the fun starts, can Jean say deep poop poop
Ah, so it wasn’t a pattern on their tops, it was the color disappearing…
Yup, seems that way. I wonder why that happens?
Considering Jean’s now got all of blue’s powers, I doubt 1 centurion would be enough to stop her (it’s the thought that counts at least)
So how do you pronounce PWUTHHH and which end is it coming out of.
Baby Blue is blowing Guano a raspberry. It’s a little hard to see the spittle at the displayed resolution, though. If you click the image, you’ll see the full size version.
I guess a fingerprint is beyond the question.
