Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Yes, but doesn’t she already have a little genie baking in the oven and Lord Guano is the daddy. As I recall she was recently complaining the Kazom about that fact.
No, the ritual that Blue forced her to perform with Guano just makes it *possible* for her to become whatever the genie equivalent of “pregnant” is. Lahab explained, during Jeanie’s imprisonment in Haji’s Palace, that Jeanie and Guano still need to perform an additional step before conception actually occurs.
From what Kazom says in panel three (or four?) of this strip ( https://jeaniebottle.com/?comic=jeanie-bottle-729 ), it does appear genie-human pregnancies are possible, but specific magical assistance is required. How difficult the magic is or how much power would be required doesn’t seem to be specified.
Maybe. But we don’t currently know the details of the magic that can allow for such a pregnancy. Who is capable of performing the magic, how intricate the magic must be, how much magical strength is required, how plausible it is for it to be done accidentally, and many more are all unsettled currently. So, we’ll see.
I’m super disappointed that Neil does not remember. I know it would change the dynamic between them a lot — but I think it should evolve so I’d be ok with that.
Neil: “Look Jeanie, I honestly don’t remember what happened after the talking cat. But I’m sure it was nothing import……”
(gets immediately Natalized and teleported to the strip club.”
Don’t worry Neil. Zoey will tell you all about what you did in the windshield of the “atlantis.” This is going to cost you flowers, candy and dinner out. Zoey is cute.
I doubt Zoey would want to talk about what she “thinks” happened in space. That kind of gossip could damage her reputation and give NASA concerns regarding their newest astronaut’s mental state.
Yes, Zoey has no explanation for how Neil could have been there, so until she knows that magic is real, she is likely to believe that at least the part about him being there was her imagination.
Zoey could decide that it was all in her imagination. And that her imagination is telling her that she needs to step up her relationship with Neil before she loses him to somebody else.
Nope, Kazom has only ever previously been in California, with the Melvin crew. When he showed up early in this storyline, Neil was like “Why is that cat talking?”
My guess is that, when Jeanie stripped Andy’s memories out of Neil, she also ended up removing the memories of everything that Andy did while he was controlling Neil.
in Comic 754, Neil says, “So the whole body/mind possession bit is off the table now?” He says this just before collapsing.
This implies to me that he doesn’t remember Andy inhabiting him. I’m betting that since Neil and Andy are/were human and not genies the effects were different for them. Maybe Neil didn’t have the ability to take control, since we didn’t see any proof of that.
Not all memories can ever be stripped out, there are feelings, muscle memories, and subconscious memories. The brain is holographic and always retains something. What Andy and Rouyaa did would have left some impression on Neil that may come out latter. Jennie could have stopped it at any point but didn’t. She ether subconsciously wanted it or needed it with Neil. ” Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.”
Well explain this to Jean on Neil side and he will have a ton of questions.
She should be more worried about whether or not she has a little genie baking in the oven
She already knows that she doesn’t need to be concerned. Kazom explained a while back that genies don’t reproduce with humans.
Yes, but doesn’t she already have a little genie baking in the oven and Lord Guano is the daddy. As I recall she was recently complaining the Kazom about that fact.

And is it possible that Rouyaa wanted a child with Andy so she provided that magical assistance.
Maybe. But we don’t currently know the details of the magic that can allow for such a pregnancy. OK, thanks for that bit of explanation.
Ooooooooooh thats right
“It’s never, ever happening again.”
Yeah, right. She didn’t even think it would happen the first two times.
It’s like Chekov’s gun, hanging there. You know it’s going to get used.
Especially since she’s already wanted to before (for unusual reasons, admittedly):

And she’s also showed some feminine interest in him in the past:

Strictly speaking, that Christmas Special takes place in some nebulous potential future.
Fair enough. Precedent or prophecy, then.

LOL that’d be perfect!
Of course he would be zapped.
How dare he claim to have forgotten how Jeanie rocked his world.
Especially if he rocked hers.
“So what happened?”

It kind of makes me think of this: https://www.deviantart.com/csimadmax/art/dear-teacher-cheerilee-today-I-learned-284186832

She would never admit it to the higher ups but the Atlantis did go missing and Neil is going to hear about it when she gets home.

What makes you think Zoey is still interested in Neil after so many years?
We have no knowledge what may or may not have happened during their college years. CD can easily retcon a continuing correspondence at any time.
I thought Neil was aware of Kazom at this point in time, am I wrong?

Jeanie, that was mean.

Yes, Neil could have some VERY vivid dreams about Jeanie in the next few days. Maybe even the next few weeks.
So, Jean is a Barbie girl this Halloween cool.
really cute banner I just could not enfision Barby and Harley Quinn as the same girl.
My first thought was Farmer’s daughter.
But Barbie makes more sense.
I was thinking Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
Those are super cute earrings and they go perfectly with the country-ish theme of the dress.
yup. defiantly Dorothy. where’s Toto 🙂
Neil, what was it that Mae West said–I don’t mind if they love me and leave me as long as they leave me enough. Be nice to her. Or else!
I don’t think it’s Neil that has to be nice.
Jeanie has a short fuse,
She’s protesting much too much too much.
