I’m not sure Lahab has the power to do that. Theoretically Jeanie may be the most magically empowered genie in the world because of all the stollen power she still retains after Blue’s rampage, and Guano is a Lord. Lahab may have just said that to give Jeanie a reason to believe that she can not only live but fit in. If it was that simple, they would have fixed Guano long ago.
I think Jeanie didn’t had that much power when Lahab was telling her that.
This was after Blue was defeated, so yes… she does.
If you go back and look at comic 602, Lahab offered to fix Jean’s hatred for Guano. So attitudes can be changed. We tend to presume Lahab’s fix will involve magic but it could be as simple as getting to know each other better, or convincing Jean the benefits outweigh the costs. As for power I’m assuming that any magic fix would require Jean’s cooperation because Lahab said “our” ability to fix, not “my” ability to fix, and given the overall context and the need to keep the main reasons Jean & Guano would object to being mated on the down low I assumed “our” meant “you and me kid”.
Free will is a human gift … I suspect genies do not have that luxury. The higher you up the ranks the more will you can exert on others… but even one’s own will is subject to those above you … except for Haji.

Genies have a limited amount of free will. They’re free to interpret poorly worded wishes to suit their mood or personality and when not “owned” by a master/mistress they are pretty much free to wander wherever they want. Obviously, there’s a hierarchy in their society just like any other, with laws and punishments.
I agree, though, that when Guano becomes Haji, Jeanie might have to change her ways… drastically, because as a Genie Lord he would have the power to confine her in her bottle (maybe, she does have all that power she inherited by defeating Blue).

True. Funny how many think he is just a jerk, and to be fair that’s probably true.
But he is also the genie who had to convince the woman of his life to marry other, lose his best friend to Blue and later give up his own power and position. All for the greater good.
Well, at least she doesn’t have to worry about getting a prescription for birth control.
Still, she really should have been at least tipped off by the fact that genie-Natalie hadn’t gotten pregnant, despite having copious amounts of sex. Although, being Jean, she may not have given a moments’ thought about anyone but herself.

I don’t think that’s fair. She made the sacrifice she’s referring to in this conversation to save her friend from the horrible life she’d been subjected to because of Jeanie’s time-fuckup.

From what Kazom says, cycles don’t seem very relevant with no ovulation, so it sounds like there’s nothing to be absent.
I can easily imagine that Jean simple never thought of that. If an important topic never comes up, it’s very easy to forget it exists.

Why not? It would be the ultimate act of narcissism, and Jean is certainly a narcissist.
I wouldn’t be a fan of genie erotic arousal; it’s kinda of a trope that I think is done to death frankly. I’ll stick around for lore and other plot devices that you can imagine for genie culture instead, thanks.

They do have that as a e-book but only Neil has been seen accessing it. Maybe it’s for masters only and Jean is too embarrassed to ask Neil to look up certain subjects.
Jeanie was supposed to read the manual – she couldn’t be bothered. So Neil read it.

Genies definitely are biologically different from humans, probably sufficiently so as to not be inter-fertile by default. You might recall how in the IDOJ show, genies had green blood corpuscles, for example.

My reading of Jeannie’s confession to Kazom is she has the Hubun Jadid inside her. She just had sex with her male self and she is worried that male Jean’s sperm could fertilize the Hubun Jadid. Could be much ado about nothing. It could be that a human cannot fertilize the Habun Jadid.”

Male genies probably don’t have sperm. They’re beings of magic, after all. They may look human, but they’re not.

They went through the binding ritual, but we have no indication that they completed the offspring-creating one. Lehab would have mentioned that Jeanie was already with child if she were.

The Hubun Jadid, which the Blue Djinn stole back when he was still possessing Jeanie’s body, and she went to Haji’s Palace. It’s *some* kind of magical artifact that makes genie reproduction possible, but we know very little else about it.
