The Blue Djinn is an evil genie who was apparently defeated by Lord Guano in the past. But now he's back, and he's angling to take down the Genie Lords... but how does Jeanie factor into his plans?
Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
Way, way back in part 536 is Rodge just to dense to recognize Araceli as Caley’s babysitter? Rodge may get TGed but it is probably not Jeanie who will do it.
To the rest of the world, Araceli is passing herself off as Caley Nanny, to her parent also and Rodge too. She peddling a Clark Kent and Superman complex’s, to everybody except, Jennie, Neil, Guano and maybe a few other Genie’s that may come through too. In other words, he not suppose to catch on that Caley Nanny is actually a Genie. That just another one of the plot lines of the Jeanie Bottle Series.
@Gary Why would Rodge be aware of who is Caley’s sitter? She doens’t really lives with him, in fact her visit was pointed to be a rare event, and Araceli presented herself to Caley’s parents, not Rodge. She even calls him Pasta man or something, which for me means she hasn’t actually meat with Rodge since she turned him into a statue for his lack of culinary talent.
Can jean stay blue for a while. I like the outfit.
Also awesome 🙂 I was hoping this part wouldn’t drag on for too long. And I’m happy to see the plot is moving forward in this direction. Curious to know what happens next though.
Go back to #547, the comic where Blue gets Guano to make the vow to activate the Hubun Jadid. Notice what they are wearing.
Now go to #550. Both their costumes have changed. Both are wearing white upper garments now: Guano’s red vest has become white, and Blue has a white top now. Blue is also back in her familiar blue harem pants–but now she has a girdle of beads, jewels, or some other decorations around her hips which she’s never worn before. Keep that girdle in mind.
Another feature of #550 is what Blue is doing in Panel 1. Looks to me like she’s adjusting her top. Why would she need to? Well, remember that the Hubun Jadid is for creating new genies, and perhaps there’s an additional step that requires clothing to be…adjusted afterward. And when Blue reveals her future plans in the final panel of #553 about taking over until the heir can assume power…who do you think would be giving birth to that heir?
Now it’s ten comics later and it looks like Jeanie and Blue have switched bodies. And Jeanie is now wearing that girdle. So what about the girdle? Well, I think it might be a symbol of marriage; two of the genies at the palace were wearing similar girdles. So this could mean that Jeanie really is married to Guano, at least in genie tradition. Plus, Jeanie could be pregnant with Guano’s child Oh, and Jeanie could also be Araceli’s aunt now.
Hmmmm…. when I posited earlier that Jean might be married to Guano now the thought that Jean might already be pregnant with Guano’s child never even occurred to me. That certainly puts a different spin on things. My fevered brain is already running over with images of the inevitable sequel where a beleaguered Jean and a henpecked Guano coping with the escapades of their mischievous genie child. Guano does have all of the makings of a befuddled sitcom dad after all. Maybe not from CD but it’s an image that could launch a thousand fanfics!
And yes, I do think Guano would man up and woo Jean for the sake of his child. And I do think Jean would actually accept his love, though she’d make him work for hers in the most excruciatingly hilarious fashion possible. This is a CD Rudd comic, after all.
It all seem to fit everything that we seen so far. But, it going to really mess up Jeanie idea of ever being guy again after she has a child and is a mother. But, this we all knew that she wasn’t going to become a guy again in either human form or genie form.
I wonder if congratulations are in order for Jeanie now?
Welp, let the reckoning COMMENCE!!!
Well well, how the tables have turned, Blue Djinn. But Jeanie, remember: With great power comes great responsibility.
I think you might be pleasantly surprised by what Jeanie does in the next comic.
A spanking?

Yes or No?
Has any one ever done a fanfic to CD’s work?
I don’t think so. There’s been brief comics, and some filler series, but no fan fics that I recall.
Maybe one of you writers, lurking in the comments, could come up with something we would love to read.
