Jeanie Bottle 542
Yikes! Blue can not only detect when other genies are teleporting nearby, but can force them to teleport into their bottles instead of their destination???
Apologies for the last post, folks. After I got home especially late from work tonight, I totally zonked out on the couch before remembering to post this.
Will we get a 2nd one this week?
No, sorry. It’s already Thursday.
There will definitely be a page on Tuesday next week, though.
Well as I said before, Blue also have the mysterious ability to temporally retards any Djinn she comes into contact with.
“I know who thou art and I am going to accuse thee of that while we are alone and before I have a time to tell anyone else”
Fortunately she has told Neil, whom she considers her master. And now Neil has the chance to be more than a helpless schlub.
Everyone forgets the lesson of Eddard Stark…
So very exciting. I’m on the edge of my seat all month waiting for what happens next! Just want to say I think it’s so cool how two other comics have spawned from this which I regularly check up on. Melvin has found its footing. Wish makers is still feeling it but I have no doubt it will get there. Just such great comics! Thanks for being so entertaining.
Araceli is fortunate… the last time we saw Blue holding a totem he killed the Genie by shattering it and absorbed her power.
Well if Jean knew this happened to Arcila she would say the shoe is on the other foot. But this is the worst timing for it.
True, but it’s a bit karmic for Araceli after doing this same thing to Jean before.
It look like Neil to the rescue, GOD help us! Cause he the only one that knows that Blue Djinn. The only question now, is what Neil going to do? Will he find the mostly empty wine bottle with Rouyaa alias Ms Eden, hiccup? Or will he find either Jeanie Bottle or Blue Djinn Totem and recall him to it and put the cap on it to trap inside the bottle? Or does another Genie show up and Neil tell him or her what going on and they do something about it? Then there the dark horse here of Neil commanding the Blue Djinn, because, technically, Neil is the Blue Djinn Master whether the Blue Djinn like it or now, which he doesn’t, but, that doesn’t make any difference. Neil can still make the wish and the Blue Djinn can’t do anything about that wish either.
I can see this breaking out in one of four or five different direction here. Don’t know which direction this is going to go in.
It looks like the Blue Djinn intends to stay tg female and become the Queen. If Neil finds the bottle and totem will the Blue Djinn be recalled to the bottle or the lamp. If Rouyaa is released will she take Jeannie’s bottle back or take over the lamp? Oh this is getting good. But I have to wait till Tuesday. Actually I can get it on Monday night -time zone.
If the Blue Djinn sealed her in, can anybody decant her? Or just Blue?
Don’t know, but, in the Genie series of I dream of Jeannie, if a Genie locks it or seal it, then a human can not open the bottle because of the Genie magic that he or she put on it, but, another Genie can open it if he or she chooses too and not just the Genie that sealed. Jeannie was sealed in a bottle by another Genie, one of the higher up in the Genie Realm and her son who was also a Genie was the only one that she could get to open the bottle for her.
If this is the chase, then neither Caley nor Neil will be able to open the bottle and they will have to find another Genie to open the bottle.
But, other than what I told you, I don’t know.
Araceli stuck Jeanie in her bottle and Neil let her out. It looks to me that Blue just redirected Araceli’s teleport and simply stuck the cork in the bottle. Neil is unlikely to find her, though, because that does not look like his apartment.
No, Neil won’t find Araceli there, this is where Caley lives in Orlando Florida, which is about 100 miles away from Cocoa Beach where Neil, Rodge and Jeanie live. Evidently the Blue Djinn was able to direct Araceli to her own bottle where he corked the bottle.
In the TV show the Blue Djin(Barbara Edens’ husband) imprisoned Jeannie in her bottle and Tony released her.
Wow, does this mean I have to track down and watch that whole original series from the 1960s in order to understand what’s going on in this comic? Is it available somewhere online or do I have to buy a DVD set and dig out and install a DVD player? How many hours is it? Too many questions!
I Dream of Jeannie – The Complete Series Box Set, DVD @ Amazon.com, $19.99. Looks like 12 discs and apparently remastered in 2015.
This would be the series only of I dream of Jeannie. I Dream of Jeannie lasted about four or five years. If I remembered right, she married Major Nelson in fourth year and the season ended in the fifth year. There is also a return to I dream of Jeanie that would be like fifteen to twenty years later. In this later returns to I dream of Jeannie, Jeannie has a son who is also a Genie too. There may have also been a second return to I dream of Jeannie too.
Re: Larry: it seemed an awful lot like the movie had little to do with the series. Though it did have Barbara Eden, Bill Daily, and even Hayden Rorke, Larry Hagman was busy with “Dallas” and was replaced by Wayne Rogers. And the continuity with the series wasn’t much.
I agree with you that it wasn’t very consistent with the story line of the series and I wasn’t impressed with it either.
But, they supposedly did a Genie sealing of the bottle, with a Genie Seal so that it could not be opened by us mare mortals. So it would take another Genie to open it. He didn’t just cork the bottle, he put a Genie lock on it to prevent human intervention.
I imagine she’s scared if the Blue Genie did anything to Caley!
Oh man, may whatever higher power will listen help the Blue Meanie if they harmed even one hair on Caley’s head.
” harmed even one hair on Caley’s head.”
Wishful thinking, I’m afraid. Either Blue is stronger than Araceli, or not. Granted, “strength” includes things like motive, morale, and so forth–but no, I’m very much afraid that one of the signal characteristics of evil is the willingness and ability to terrify, torture, and murder children in gloating mockery of the righteous protests and defense by those who love them. Indeed, it’s one of the primary ways that the wicked demoralize the good.
Caley’s fine, though. Blue simply isn’t interested, at least not until Araceli focuses Blue’s attention on her by making such displays as “If you harm one hair on her head–” BAMSLASHSTAB. Out come the barber’s shears and razors.
@50srefugee – oh, Araceli, right. I wouldn’t break the 4th wall to tear Blue in half like tissue paper, no. How silly of me.
