The Blue Djinn is an evil genie who was apparently defeated by Lord Guano in the past. But now he's back, and he's angling to take down the Genie Lords... but how does Jeanie factor into his plans?
Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
It look like Lilly really loves her man. Hey, look Rodge every women there fault and this just happens to be Lilly problem. She has a bad habit of nibbling on her men a little bit.
Well we know that Rodge isn’t going to loss himself into Lilly and we know not going to get eaten alive, but, does make a good cliff hanger though. Who going to come and rescue Rodge from Lilly and save Neil from the Blue Djinn. Can Jeanie come to the rescue or are these guys doomed.
This appears to be the climax of this Arc, so that meanies this arc is probably coming to an end arc. Which means that Lilly and the Blue Djinn are going to have to go by, by and Jeanie Bottle can go on to the next arc in it series.
I’m still betting on a time zone difference. In the grand tradition of boss villains, Big Blue won’t be able to resist explaining that all Neil had to do to defeat her plans was send her back to Haji.
Neil: You mean all I have to do is say “I send you back to Haji?”
“I’ve no intention of sending you back” is NOT the same as “The day has ended and I can’t send you back.”
If the strip is to continue, the Genie Authorities will have to allow for “acts committed while body is being controlled by another entity” and just lock up the Blue Djinn, leaving Jeanie back in control.
I also hope the Jeanie lookalike is exonerated and freed. I’m still not sure what the magic McGuffin Blue stole (and framed someone else for) was.
No guesses as to Rodge’s facial features when it’s all over.
1. When he was in Haji Palace, he stole one of those light red things, which was necessary for having Genie Babies, so he could create a male Genie to inhabit, because, he doesn’t want to be in a female genie body.
2. Second, he stole Emmett, which show that Rouyaa is one of Haji concubine.
We’re all so wrapped up with figuring “where” Blue’s plan will fail that no one (including myself) has wondered “Why is there an Evil Plan in the first place?”
What is so important about today? Other than avoiding being banished.
Why was the plant-girlfriend created? Why is everyone on a date?
If pseudo-Jeanie just spent a quiet day at home (or in California or on Mars) there’d be no risk. Neil would ask no questions.
Tomorrow is soon enough to Kill Everyone, Overthrown Haji, and Rule the World!
If there’s one thing long-time genies should have in abundance, it’s patience.
Lilly was *supposed* to go after Neil, but Blue fucked up and accidentally used the wrong hair, making her attracted to Rodge, instead. The fact that she went after Rodge resulted in Rodge inviting Neil and Jeanie out to dinner with him and his new girlfriend. Blue felt like he had to follow Neil’s “order” to go on the date, and that’s why they’re all at the restaurant.
Blue likely created Lilly as soon as he could because he wanted to get rid of Jeanie’s master as soon as possible. We know he doesn’t like being stuck as a Bottle Genie, which explains the impatience.
This whole “Evil Plan” is just Blue winging it after creating the mimic trap and having it fail to go after Neil. And since Blue hasn’t tried to kill Neil directly, I’m guessing she’s still bound by Bottle Genie rules. That’s why Blue created Lilly: he needed an independent murder weapon.
OK, that makes sense.
As much as anything in this webcomic does.
There are still more loose ends than an unraveled sweater. There’s Ms Eden, the German genie, Araceli, a small army still loyal to the Blue Djinn, Anderson, etcetera, etcetera.
CD does end strips. Was Sailor Sun closed “neatly”?
Once Lilly gets a taste of Rodge she will realize he is the wrong target. Then she will turn on Neil and Jeanie because Blue was dumb enough to spike the plant with the wrong hairs. If she grabs Jeanie will she suck Blue out of Jeanie or just feed on her body. Poor Rodge, lost another girlfriend. Take her home and feed her some plant food.
Do you think Nate has ever had why did I get out bed moments since Jean became a genie cause I think eventually he would say Jean I need a two week vacation from our awesome magic adventures before I go nuts or turn into Natalie and get entered in a Miss coco Beach pagent if that is even real.
@CGM3:“Is there a weed whacker in the house?”
Oh, is that what the boys are calling them these days?
(Yes, it’s true. I think Rodge is about to seduce Miss Plant, and they’ll live happily ever after. )
(What? Oh, come on! I can’t be the only one who remembers the premise behind the movie Deep Throat–despite having never seen it.)
With Neal knew all along (I think?) and plans the cleverest of traps at the restaurant. While everybody etc was focus on the earlier panels, and that is why you don’t see anybody etc at the restaurant. When the Blue Djinn thought he had fooled Neal, and Neal fakes a dumb look (I think?) with the Blue Djinn distracted, Neal pulls out of a hiding spot, an M-60 belt fed machinegun and proceeds to cut the Blue Djinn in half. Then Neal out of another hidden compartment, pulls out a bottle of plant poison and throws at Lilly the plant. In rage Lilly the plant stop feeding on Roger and charges at Neal. Neal calmly empty belt of American finest into Lilly the plant, shredding her into compost. The last scene is Neal and Roger walking out of the now burning restaurant into the night, with Neal saying to Roger “it’s a beautiful night.”. At least how I remember the 50’s cliffhanger ending (I think?)
A shoot up massacre in a CDRUDD strip don’t be ridiculous. Next you’ll say that they are going to collect all these magic items and make some sort of magic clone so that Jean and Jeanie can go their separate ways.
To much face for Rodge and where is Jean? And how clueless are you Nate you work for NASA
Well, you can’t say Lilly didn’t hold back on that “kiss”. She went all out.
At least it’s one kiss Rodge will never forget. Maybe now he will learn not to rush a relationship.
At the very least, if Blue is gonna sic Venus Fly Lilly on them, he better pay for that meal!
Press “F” for Respects
Press “D” for Damn it!!
Press “S” for Shit, Rodge is going to need a new face!
And thus we conclude “I Dream of a Jeanie Bottle” Good Night everybody
don’t close the curtain just yet. if i know Jean, Robert and CDRudd, they’ve got some tricks up their sleeves.
Nope. It’s the Sopranos/GOT/Lost and most scifi/fantasy show series ending.
Well, I have a guess as to what could possibly allow the story to keep going, but I don’t know at all what CDRudd has planned.
at the very least, it feels like we’re gonna start the last part of this arc soon (aka, middle part of this arc is almost done)
It look like Lilly really loves her man. Hey, look Rodge every women there fault and this just happens to be Lilly problem. She has a bad habit of nibbling on her men a little bit.

Stay tuned in to the Jeanie Bottle and find out.

TO BE CONTINUED!!
Hopefully! (For Rodge’s sake…)
What Lilly is doing to Rodge, give a whole new meany to becoming Plant food.
At least from Lilly perspective, Rodge is biodegradable and will make a perfect food source.

Neil: You mean all I have to do is say “I send you back to Haji?”
Blue: “But it’s too la–”
POOF!
“I’ve no intention of sending you back” is NOT the same as “The day has ended and I can’t send you back.”

Actually, the Blue Djinn stole two things.

Blue Djinn don’t understand the relationship between Jeanie and Neil and didn’t realized that such quiet day would be safest choice.

Rodge needs Agent Anderson with a tactical shotgun in her purse.
Talk about sucking face…
+1 for toothy monsters.
Boy, whatta kiss!
Is there a weed whacker in the house?
[oops, misplaced]
Do you think Nate has ever had why did I get out bed moments since Jean became a genie cause I think eventually he would say Jean I need a two week vacation from our awesome magic adventures before I go nuts or turn into Natalie and get entered in a Miss coco Beach pagent if that is even real.
Wait until the plant find out about the little secret about engineers…there are benign, no taste at all. Bon appetite plant!

I could actually like to see a Miss Coco Beach pagent (swimsuit) with Jean, Natalie, Lilly and don’t forget Red.

@The Odd Duck – April Fool’s Day isn’t for quite a few more months yet.
Well, I must say that that odd solution for an Odd Duck.
Too Many Rambo movies. It should have been a tommygun.
