Chapter: Story 08: I Dream of a General
The Xmas week marathon has now concluded its week-long run of new story comics. But come back tomorrow for a little something extra!
If you want to make any guesses as to what it is, I’ll give you a hint: it’s directly Christmas related.
Yes, it going to be awkward explain them being girls now.
I wonder if someone just happen to see Rosco with that bottle and didn’t know what it was.
Of course the could meet up at the restaurant to get something to eat or get refreshment and then see Jeanie there and find out what happened that way. Which is probably what will happen.
I see Neil contributed his shirt. Which means the Duke girls are still braless. That should certainly contribute to Cooter’s interest level.
Thinking about strategies… if I remember, the one thing Boss Hogg was deathly afraid of was Lulu, his wife. That would be a potential weak point that our heros could exploit.
Or Jeanie could turn Neil into Natalie and have him and the Dukes sneak in, unrecognized, to steal the bottle back. It shouldn’t be any trick for her to magic-open the safe.
And of course, in the end, the General Lee has to reappear, good as new, thanks to Jeanie’s magic.
Well, if one of the Dukes is holding the bottle, then Jean can grant him/her three wishes. It may require the power of a wish to negate Boss Hogg’s wish, since a Genie can’t simply undo a wished-for thing on her own.
All they need to do is drop by Boss’s home and innocently ask Lulu if she knows where their sugar daddy is…

“Sugar Daddy” – that’s certainly a term I would never have expected to hear applied to him!
Neil should really go on a diet. That gut is going to cost him a diabetes one day.
Nah, he’s hardly fat at all. Maybe a bit chubby, but nothing that bad.
I stand corrected. From the looks of the second panel it seemed as if he was on his way to being able to impersonate Santa Claus.
Chubby, yes. He needs to work on that.
Well, Jean has mentioned Neil’s weight a couple times.
@Vimmy: Yes she has. I doubt Jean cared about his roommate, but as a girl, Jeanie wants her preferred master to look good.
Or to give her a fun job like waitressing.
Well Neil can finally get a new shirt, he has been wearing that one for way to long.

Two things looks like bo is well on the way to being air head and to can’t wait to see him try to drive with the dolly parton enhance ments it be funny if they have lost there fearlessness and desire to drive fast as well
Bo was always the slightly-less-smart one of the two, anyway.
Although, actually, by rights, the blond should be the taller one. Bo was about 4 inches taller than Luke in the show. Although I thought Luke was cuter.

More regular schedule? I think you’re confusing this comic with something that updates more often than once a week. Looking back at the release calendar, CD’s only missed 3 updates in the last year.
I think Robert N. wants a update schedule that updates more often. Little does he know that making the week’s worth of updates (plus SailorSun.org’s updates and updates while I’m visiting family) take a good chunk of the days off I get for the holidays.
I’d be real happy if you guys updated every time I clicked on my link to the comic, two or three times a day—but we all know that’s not gonna happen. Do the best you can.

Hmm… Could tomorrow’s “little extra something” be the Duke girl’s, Jean and perhaps Natalie wearing Christmas styled Daisy Duke’s pulling a “General Lee” themed sleigh or perhaps decorating a tree?
Not quite. But you got one of the characters right, and the fact that Christmas-styled clothes will be involved.

And yes, I could absolutely see Jeanie doing that, once she’s got a few stiff drinks in her. Definitely a party girl type.
With all this talk about personality changes, it’s worth remembering that Jen’s last concern, before she got hit with allergies and started sneezing, was how good Neil was in bed. I wonder what THAT personality change will lead to.
Jean’s first reaction when Boss Hogg let her out of the bottle was that Neil (who she thought Boss Hogg was) had gotten old and fat. Was that just friendship or was it an attraction she now felt for Neil’s body?
Spend long enough in a body and you start to think and act more that way. Spend time as a werewolf and you may get cravings to bite anything fluffy. Become a cat and you’d end up napping more often and have a desire to pounce on things.
