A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Rodge is an engineer. Maybe he’s the Professor. The Professor was a great technician, but kind of clueless. Otherwise, I think he’d have been sleeping with Ginger from Day 1.
Could Liam’s first mate be named Gil Eagen? And where are the Howells?
The movie “Back to the Beach” has Bob Denver deliver a great monolog about how he was trapped on an island with a guy who could make a geiger counter out of a cocoanut but couldn’t fix a hole in a boat.
Appropos of nothing: My aunt one told me she dated Russell Johnson in NY city after his first divorce. I have no way to prove it since they’re both gone now but I also have no reason to disbelieve it either.
Looking up Liam’s tag I just spotted something. In comic 594 Neil (as Aracelli) meets an old classmate from MIT. But in comic 673 alternative timeline Natalie says Neil went to Cal Tech “just like before”. Honest mistake, they’re both elite engineering schools. Lucky for CD (and Robert) this comic doesn’t have continuity errors, it has Timey-Wimey complications.
The change from MIT to Cal Tech was a direct result of the butterfly effect. The instant Jeanie and Natalie interacted with themselves in the past, things began to change.
Yeah, what Shadow said is correct. Jeanie going back in time and changing the past caused Neil to have gone to Caltech instead of MIT, which is his “canon” almamater.
The minnow and Liam this is going to be a boat ride.
3 hours, tops.
Uh, oh! A ship named the Minnow? Natalie is Mary Ann and Rodge is Gilligan? 🙂
all we need are a few more characters, and an epic storm, to complete the set.

“Five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour.”
Twice?
Hey, that’s the way they sang it. Blame the arranger.
I may be wrong, but wasn’t the composer “Johnny Williams”?
Oh boy….this is going to be one awkward three hour tour.
You forgot the scare quotes around “three hour”. 🙂
I think the boat’s name is “The Lucky Minnow”.
dammit.
At laaaaaaaaaaaaast!
If the captain is a fat guy dressed in blue, and the crew is a skinny guy dressed in red, reconsider boarding.

Nice save. Rebooting the timeline allows you to retcon just about everything it seems. 🙂
The really funny part is that Cal Tech and MIT are real-life rivals. They keep playing legendary pranks on each other.
thank you for reminding us who he is and where we last saw him
I knew that when *I* didn’t recognize him, it’d be a good idea to remind folks who he is, once I learned it from asking CD.
Age must be taking its toll… I have several decades on you, and I remembered immediately. (Now, ask about commas… hehe)
Well Natalie going to have another day or two with Liam.
I predict we will see the lines, ” Have we met before?”, and, ” No, we are just friends.”
Well, that’s not portenteous at all.
