Yes, Jeanie has several times the magical power reserve that Rouyaa is used to, so she may even be striking with more force than she intended. It’s fortunate that Kazom is one of the few beings whom Rouyaa would trust in this situation.

A witch’s familiar is there animal campaign, usually a cat. In MelvinC. we learnt they can talk. Therefore if you see a talking cat in the JeaniBottle universe, then it’s a safe bet the cat is a witch’s familiar.
Genies and Witches do not have a very friendly relationship. Hence the blast.

Suffice to say, both groups have a long and complicated history, and rarely get along.
