Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A former Genie Lord, Kazom is a 3000+ year old Genie who exists in the form of a witch familiar while still serving as a genie to a teenage boy in California.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Hmm, so they have only one day to accomplish what they need to do before the memories fade. Neil is going to need some coffee—it’s already evening after a work day, and he will have to be up all night.
I wonder if thinking of the memories (or maybe saying what they are out loud) will let them last. There’s also writing, too. They may not realize Rouyaa is Ms. Eden, as she only acquired that identity after the memories were removed. They could always be told who she became, of course.
We’re still waiting for them to travel back in time to the era of “I Dream of Jeannie,” as indicated by this strip ( https://jeaniebottle.com/archives/comic/jeanie-bottle-383 ). Given the safe episodes were mentioned, but the show was still in production, this has to be 1968-1970. Maybe they’ll go back later, but this arc is another opportunity for them to have motivation to time travel. I’ve been waiting for this.
First, it needs to be determined if releasing these memories into Jeanie and Neil permanently deletes them. This could be a one-shot deal that erases them forever (after the 18 hours Kazom mentioned) or is this is like copying an archive file into a temporary flash drive.
As an engineer myself, I can affirm the truth of the “difficulty staying awake” adage.
On the other hand, are you familiar with “The Marshmallow Test”? A young kid is left alone with a marshmallow or an Oreo and told that, if they can resist eating it for a few minutes, they’ll be given TWO treats. It’s a measure of willpower and often correlates well with later success in school and in life. Do your homework now or blow it off in favor of TV or a game.
Jean wouldn’t have lasted 5 seconds. He/she is one of the most impulsive, never thinks about long-term consequences, fictional characters ever. As for “I have a pretty strong will”; The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people wrongly overestimate their knowledge or ability in a specific area. This tends to occur because a lack of self-awareness prevents them from accurately assessing their own skills.
She can be stubborn, yes, but that often equates to “stupid”.
Just looking at Jeanie’s facial expressions on pages 731 and 732 (the latter of which resembles her expression on page 391, panel 4… and Kazom had better be careful since her anger was directed at him at the time), it looks like it may already be Rouyaa’s personality speaking.
Huh. Hasn’t someone around here been harping on the importance of Masters to good genies?
And how Neil is not exactly inspiring his genie with trust and confidence?
Real nutjob, that one.
So, Jean and Neil will be seeming Technicolor. Like we already know.
To be fair Jean, you did cause him to fight a shark to save his laptop computer.
Well, let’s hope the right memories make their way to the right heads or there will be some interesting confusion going on.

I hope Rouyaa’s freed, too. She appeared to have been youthened by being put in the bottle ( https://jeaniebottle.com/archives/comic/jeanie-bottle-507 ). Maybe that will stay. Maybe she’ll get powers back. We’ll see.
I wonder what emotions and behavioral instincts they will have while possessed by those memories. Will 1960s-style romantic feelings overcome them?
I’m concerned about Rouyaa’s reaction once her memories are restored. Finding out about the identity and fate of her master/husband is going to hurt…
…Unless maybe a certain genie pulls some time travel shenanigans.

I prefer a woman with a strong will… or a weak “won’t”!
That’s how I flunked college physics.

What could go wrong?? Neil ends up with Rouyaa’s memories and Jeanie gets Andy’s memories.
So I’m going to assume this is the arc where Jeanie an Neil go back in time to 1960s NASA
We saw them in the background all those pages ago when we got Rouyaa’s backstory, and have yet to see the other side of it
Jean, he just fought a shark. Anyone is bound to be exhausted after that.
I thought it was the smoke that made him fall asleep?
Putting him to sleep may have made it easier to implant Andy’s memoried into his brain,
