I don’t know enough about chess to know: Could Natalie’s geniefication be interpreted as a result of castling? I don’t really understand what that was about as it happened.
Speculation on the Discord is that the “castling move” was Natalie distracting Danny (who described himself as the “king”) from Zoey so that she could hang out with Neil (who Danny called the “rook”) during prom.
Well, I’d guess that during that TALK that Jeanie had with Jean, Jeanie broke a rule with time travel and told jean about the future, IE the bottle and Genie thing. So when the moment came up Jean had Neil open the bottle.
Now, knowing Jeans reputation, This Natalie here would most likely be better at genie magic and willing to help set this right, but as we see by time traveling you are separate from the timestream so if this Natalie travels with them she will be separate from this Neil.
And with Jeanie way of dealing with Neil, means Twins around Rodge, Araceli, and Guano and no end of trouble.
Oh, that is right. Kind of like Bay, Berry and Heather. Neil has a twin sister now.
They might even be triples even. This is the third time through the loop now. We may have a mortal Natalie, genie Natalie and Neil now too.

I doubt Jeanie said anything to Jean about genies or bottles.
If memory serves me right, whoever opens the bottle will become Natalie’s master. If Jeanie poofs neil outside the bottle and he opens it then Natalie will become his Genie and he will then be master to two genies, Jeanie and Natalie –I hope.
You are correct, the first one to open the genie bottle or other container that be used as a totem for a genie will be there master. Also if a genie bottle been sealed up for over a month, if someone other than the original master will open that bottle, they will become the new master of that genie also. Having said that, there are several possibilities here and they are:
1. We don’t know who opened the genie bottle or who has current control over it right now or who would be the master of the genie either.
2. Originally Jeanie bottle or totem didn’t have a plug in it until Araceli created one for it.
we have two unknowns here.
As a result of Jeanie and Old Neil’s meddling, Young Neil and Zoey get together. They eventually marry and move to Coco Beach where Eden’s lamp falls into his hands and Neil gets geniefied. Zoey is her master. Natalie is what Neil would look like as a girl, explaining the same appearance in both timelines. Genie Natalie has no memory of Jeanie as she was just a random girl at the Prom. And if I saw a copy of myself appear in front of me, I would assume it was not me and want to know who it was.
You guess is as good as anybody else guess at this point. Also Zoey was about the only one that got her own box on the side like some of the main character or support character too. Nobody else during Jeanie time travel to the school prom got one. They only do that if CD intends to use her again in the future and that it warrant giving them there own place there.
But, if that true, it would further muddy the time line waters even more.

I kinda hope we end up getting a mixture of the seen universes in the end where Jeanie and Natalie are both genies and are ether reporting to ether Zoey, each other, themselves, or Rodge. This comic has been going pretty consistent for something with such a chaotic premise and I think that would shake it up enough to squeeze a few good arcs out of it. From a writing perspective more new genies means more training and adaptation or rather more content. I hope that’s what happens both as a writer and a Natalie fan.
I’m curious where the Genie authorities are – after all Jeanie did as the Blue Djinn, I thought she had to correct her bad spells. I’d have thought they’d be all over her for these actions…
Hmm, I already like her better than Jeanie. I think this timeline is a keeper.
Hmm. Well now I’m very confused! I felt that it was impossible for Jeannie to not become Jeannie as that was established when she tried to change history with a wish… then again that was before her power boost. Still in the first tangent timeline there was no genie but she was still the genie of the bottle which I assumed must exist outside normal time and space. Perhaps we really are looking at parallel realities each as real as the other… in which case Natalie is still in the 2nd timeline and (a very hot) genie Natalie in the 3rd timeline.
This means that the first timeline must still exist as Jeannie’s bottle must still exist … assuming (big assumption) that a genie can’t share the same totem.
If a genie can share the same totem .. does that make Natalie and Jeannie sisters now? 😀
Yup. I think that’s the premise most of us are operating on – that they are crossing into alternate universes with their changes. Not destroying the original universe and creating a new one. So Jean may not be a genie in this universe, but jeanie is still a genie because her original universe still exists and the events which occurred there still happened (will happen). So it’s not that they’re trying to repair the timeline, as it is they’re trying to figure out what they need to do to arrive back at their original universe.
Lucky Neil. If things had gone differently, then he could have arranged a triple sex in Jeanie and Natalie. It may be so, but it is not certain.
