After the much more obvious stuff on page 666, I completely failed to notice that this happened on page 669! CD is clever as hell.
Why am I not surprised? Oh, because this is Jean we’re talking about, with five years less of what passes (well, perhaps with Jean it doesn’t pass) for “maturity”.
Perhaps Jeanie can learn from Jean’s mistakes, since she’ll be able to remember them this time around?

Panel 1 is ä photo of the Millenium Cincinnati Hotel at 150 W. Fifth St. It closed on the last day of 2019. I found it in an ad ffor a one-day sale of the furnishings of its 850 rooms held January 31, 2020. Maybe Jean got the very last and possiblyworst room, but its in a downtown hotel instead of a bedbug across the river in Covington.
Hah, cool! I had been wondering what hotel CD used for that panel.
Interesting; I’d been wondering what the source was also.
BTW, I rather doubt that the last room is #850. I count at least 18 floors in the photo; with possibly another below. Usually, the first digit or two of a room number indicates the floor (unless it’s a short hotel, where the staff can easily remember which rooms are where and tell the guests as the arrive where their room is), which puts them about halfway up the tower.
Maybe this is what many people think about here ??? If this is so, then it would be possible to issue separate figures as NSFW in the appropriate section. Maybe Jeanie will turn into a genie in her red and pink suit and there will be a belly dances and later XXX
Jeanie is still a guy inside. I don’t see him/her/whatever going along with this quietly.

Jean is only a memory of who Jeanie use to be in her mind, but, isn’t anymore. Jeanie still hasn’t come to terms to who she is yet. Jeanie may still have fantasy of still being a guy in a girls body, but, there isn’t much left of the old man that use to call himself Jean anymore left inside her now. Jean has been sufficiently Girlified to being a girl called Jeanie. Not only has Jean been Girlified, he as also been Geniefied too and when he or should say She was put back into a human body, she collapsed and Neil and Rodge tried to take on the Blue Djinn themself. Like Jeanie isn’t mortal human anymore either, she belongs to the Genie Realm now.
Although, Jeanie is still kicking against it, she is pretty much all girl and all genie now too and it in her very core of her being now of who she is or what she is. Since Genie can live thousands of years, it only a matter of time before Jeanie finely accepts her roll as a female genie. After all Jeanie has only been a Genie in there time for only about one year now.
Jeanie has in the past shown both romantic (the Christmas extra) and sexual (I’m not sure where it is, but it was semi-desire and semi not wanting to miss out on an appealing physical experience) desire for Neil. I’m not sure how much time has passed in the story, but she’s had time to further acclimate since then.
Jeanie may end up exploring her girl body this way, but DEFINITELY not with Jean. It will probably be with Neil.
Compared to Greek Mythology or Wagnerian Opera, this stuff is mild.

Listen, maybe further scenes can be made in the form of those that were made almost 10 years ago (meaning chapters 172 and 173 of IDOJB, meaning the amendment in the form of a bright or pale sky blue oriental dress for oriental dances and light red cap).
My question is, is Jeanie’s fearful reaction to the possibility (probability) of having sex with Jean (1) the fear of the heterosexual male she used to be to having sex with another man, or (2) the fear of first-time sex that a virginal female would have?
Or maybe 3) “Fear of having sex with herself.”
I still think she got a better deal than Marty McFly.

Another possibility is that Jeanie has changed enough after being turned into a female genie that she doesn’t see thing exactly the way she use to see thing anymore. After all Jeanie has been a Genie for about year now and maybe her memories have faded a little bit by now, because, Jeanie isn’t horny all the time when it come to girls anymore now.
Did it really take Jeanie to be in front of a “love room” to realize the intentions of her own past self? Despite having been a proud pickup artist until her unwilling gender change?
I think Jeanie has a blind spot for this stuff. I mean, *she* likely doesn’t want to have sex with *Jean*, and Jean “is” her. So maybe she just never even considered that *Jean* might want to have sex with *her*.
The long-surmised memory wipe might have something to do with it, but I suspect it’s less personal and more basic, as in “I would totally do something like this with a girl, but he’s not me and I’m not a girl.”
Of course “it” could be any of many things. Maybe he wants to play Scrabble.

She was distracted, looking from where and when the Transfer Student would finally come.

The real question is does Jeanie now remember how Jean remembers this night and has her opinion of keeping the sanctity of the timeline intact have anything to say to her?
It looks like the answer to that is “no”. Many readers have guessed Jean preserves the timeline by giving her younger self a memory wipe, but what if Jean gives him fake memories instead? Fake memories of getting super lucky on prom night explain some of Jean’s later behavior.
We have seen that Jeanie can summon a simulacrum of Neal, why not create one of her teen-Jeanie self? Kills off 2 problems at once, Jean has his booze enhanced memories of a grand old time with the transfer student and Jeanie avoids being that memory.
I’m not sure memory wipe is needed. Alcohol MIGHT be enough … and it will DEFINITELY be enough to be BLAMED by the loss of memory by Jean.
I’m fully convinced you can’t violate the timeline. Everything that they’ve done has been consistently shown as something that already happened. The time stream has already taken everything they’ve done into account, therefore nothing they do can end up violating causality.

One of the cliches of this sort of strip is the tease but drawing back at the last minute. I hope this strip doesn’t fall into that cliche. Of course the strips have already been drawn so it’s too late for any changes, but seeing Jeannie deal with having had sex with her earlier self would be interesting. Actual sex can take place off-camera.
