Huh, looks like CD used the “Jeanie” tag when he posted this, instead of the “Jean” tag, which is what is usually used. I wonder if we should just change that tag to “Jeanie”…

When they meet and Jean goes completely totally wacky and sexually all horny at the sight of Jeanie in her provocative and seductive dress that was intended to be that way to try and out do Rita. Jeanie is still thinking about trying to out do Rita and not what her provocative and seductive dress with do to Jean and his twisted thinking. Evidently the history that Jeanie remembers isn’t all there right now and won’t be there for Jeanie to remember until she show up at the prom or until she meet Jean in her prom dress.
Maybe she won’t ever realize it. How long has Jean known Buck Tooth Willie, his moonshine supplier?

My prom date, back in the early 79s, wore a dress quite similar to Natalie’s, only red–and she was lovely in it.
The view down the front while dancing was also lovely.
Jeanie, though, is definitely going to catch the attention of the chaperones.

Natalie moves quite fetchingly in that dress–see frame 3.
Natalie can move in that dress, but, there short and small steps. Both that dress and high heels tend to shorten a girl step size to be fairly small steps.

And yet, girls dance in those things. Very mysterious, bordering on mystical. On some snow-swept Tibetan mountain top, there is an ancient nunnery where they weave the cloth and sew. The dresses are shipped out by yak.
II wonder if Jeanie is turning Neil into Natalie because her genie nature is making her feel attracted to her Master–and she still has enough Jean in her that she feels uncomfortable being turned on by a guy, even as dumpy a guy as Neil.
Maybe that’s why she was teasing Natalie about the “happy ending” massage in the last strip.
And, hey, Jeanie–you want to one-up Rita? Put yourself in something as classy as the dress you gave Natalie. It’s a knockout, but restrained. If Rita’s the tart you think she is, she’s very likely to wear something like that tube top you gave yourself, and it cannot compete with the evening gown.
Want to watch every boy at the dance…um, bulge? Come in arm in arm with Natalie, and give her the first dance. You both will steal every heart in the room.
I like Natalie’s long, luxurious braid. Good call.
I also like her expression in frame two. I have to wonder what it felt like to have her clothes poofed away, and that dress poofed onto her. I;m imagining something like spearmint body wash–cool but tingly.
You know what else I like? The way that gown shows off Natalie’s modest bosom–and I mean “modest” in the very best, most provocative sense. She looks great that way. Fan artists, take note. Don’t mess with CD’s character design; Natalie’s a charmer just the way she is. “Never eat anything bigger than your head,” said Kliban. Truer words ne’er were spoken.
To be fair to the fan artists, *adult* Natalie is significant less “modest” than teen Nat. 🙂
Well, yeah, but I have to applaud teen Nat’s figure especially. And even adult Jeanie’s figure is a bit, uh, “emphasized” in most fan art.
Did Jeanie get a boob job between panels 1 and 4?
No, Jeanie has always had Double D or bigger breast on her and maybe a 10 size waist too. Jeanie has always had the perfect hour glass figure with long blond hair going passed the shoulder a little bit.

I think so, actually. She’s been messing with her bust size for much of this time-trip. She appeared at a fairly modest size when they were at the school, disguised as their teen selves; went back to being her normal size when distracting the male hotel guest to line up a room for her and Nat; and then went back to “teen” size again up until panel 4 of this page. And being her usual, busty self seems quite intentional in both of the cases when she used it.
Dang it. I seem to have accidentally changed my handle from “50s” to “60s”. No, no, no! FIFTIES!
Let’s see if this changes it back.

The last panel is a classic with Jeanie expression after Natalie rebuke of the dress that she intends to wear to the prom. It also show the absolute at ease that Jeanie has become at being a girl now. Compare that to the panel 3 just before that and Neil or Natalie expression to what Jeanie is going to wear to the prom as to Jeanie expression in panel 4.
So, #13 top and #6 bottom on Jeanie?
Seems like #13 on Jeanie and #14 on Natalie.
That really was going to be the only dress Jean would wear.
