Well is this mean Neal a chaperone? Does he turn into Araceli?
No he won’t turn into Araceli. He will just suddenly show up and mysteriously be on the Chaperones list for being with Caley and Araceli.
More like “Your command is my wish”.

And it reminds me of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, with the psychic troopers. I’m pretty sure they meant it in the *other* direction, though.
She doesn’t look too thrilled about it. Was there some aftermath awkwardness from Blue’s defeat between her and Neil that we don’t know about?

Yes, he not on the Approved Caretaker List, but, we have a Genie that can grant wishes remember. She can change reality and put Neil on the Approved Caretaker List and it will be no problem at all for her to do that.
Caley specifically said she wanted to Neil to be “her guardian for this trip”. That means Araceli granting that wish will implicitly put him on the list.
Funny enough, even if I expect Neil becoming Caley’s guardian for the trip one way or another, Caley didn’t said the phrase “I wish”. Araceli is going to grant it anyway, but I am still curious if we are ever going to get the full explanation of Araceli’s genie duties towards Caley. How many wishes, if any, have she granted so far?

Somehow I just knew something like this was going to happen to get Neil with both Caley and Araceli together. The only question that I have with all this is, did Araceli also arrange for Neil to have the day from work too, because, that could cause Neil some problems at work if she hasn’t done that too. I can just see the nest episode for next week now. Neil is talking to Rodge at work and all of the sudden Neil disappears while he talking to Rodge in mid sentence and appears in-front of both Caley and Araceli in-front of the Cape Canaveral Space Center.

Me, too! CD and I both did that tour back in January. Right after the fan meetup in Cocoa Beach.
Um, does anyone else think that this “wish” might result in Neil and Araceli exchanging locations?
I doubt it will do that. Araceli want to be with Neil. I bet ahe will interpret the “wish” in a different way.
Why did CD make that other kid say “I like fish”? Maybe so Araceli will absent-mindedly grant that wish.
This could result in anything from Neil showing up with pickled herring (he’s Jewish, remember?) to an army of walking catfish. And, yes, there are walking catfish in Florida.
I did a term paper on them as an Invasive Species back in 1969.

I loved that place when I was a kid. I was only there once, but I loved it.
I visited for the first time this year, in January. It was great!
I wonder if that will turn into just Neil being on the list as an approved chaperone, him becoming Araceli (e.g., body-swapping, transformation, or Quantum Leap style), or even turning into Natalie.
So far, Jeanie is the only genie into turning guys into girls, and Araceli doesn’t even know that Neil and Natalie are the same person, so sadly I don’t see Natalie coming.
Now, a bodyswap between Araceli and Neil could be fun! Give Neil the chance to be the hot Genie girl for once! It would also explain Araceli’s face in that last panel, normally she would love to have Neil around, but she doesn’t seem all that happy. Maybe she is not going to be around? Maybe the whole incident with the kind’s uncle was forshadowing for Araceli to get Neil here and in the list somehow!
It would be funny if the “I like fish” line results in Neil being transformed into a hot redheaded mermaid!

Araceli can’t bring Neil or put him on the approved list since that would technically be interfering with the American space program. Therefore Neil will have to replace her as the guardian in a body the same as hers. Otherwise she gets the boot as a jeanie
It has already been decided that you can’t interfere with a person love life or make someone like some one or make someone a boyfriend or girlfriend again someone will.
But, what your talking about, a Genie has some latitudes as to what they can do or not do. But, they still have to be careful as to what they can do or not do, because, they can still get themselves into trouble if there not careful.
How does my comment have to do with interfering with free will?
It doesn’t and that the point, your comment is basically irrelevant to our discussion to what Araceli can and can’t do. She is still well inside the boundaries of what she can and can’t do as a Genie. There no violation of the free will or what suppose to be the Galactic Normal or violation of one of Haji Rules, so Araceli is just fine.
@Larry… i’ll bet that her being distracted and thinking that the kid that likes fish was Calley saying “I Wish” is gonna get her in trouble for using her powers when not under orders to do so… i’d say something like giving out an un-wished for wish could be grounds for her recall…
I suppose that Neil might show up looking a little bit fishy Here and that might cause a problem for both Calley, Araceli and Neil too. I can see where that might be a little bit of a problem.
Caley seems noticeably taller now, and actually shows curves. Has the puberty monster arrived?
CD, what was the problem with your computer? Hope it was an inexpensive fix.
It was software related. I’m pretty sure it just cost him some time.
It was a virus that got into my machine. One of those ‘Email attachments’ that tricked me into opening it. Usually, I’m pretty good with those, but this was one from ‘FedEx’ sending an invoice, literally a couple of hours after receiving a large FedEx package.
SO I spend the evening having my computer perform intense virus scans to ensure it was gone, and there wasn’t anything else on my machine.
I’m now wondering how many wishes Caley has had.
If we have hit three then Araceli may need to go (or have diminished powers by staying)
I wonder how CD will tie this thread into Jeanie’s problem or if he will run two parallel stories.
I am betting that it will be two parallel stories that cross at the end of both stories when both Neil and Jeanie come back together again. That way we will see two separate story lines where Caley is trying to do a number on Neil using her Genie Araceli while Neil Genie Jeanie is out of the picture and can’t help Neil out or stop what Araceli is doing by way of Caley wishes. This would make a great sub-story line to develop in it own right.
Even when Jeanie was still Jean, he has always needed Neil around him for emotional support even though he always tried to act like he was the strong one here. But, since Jean has became Jeanie and those needs and desire to be with Neil, needs have only deepen by several magnitudes of order as to a Virtual Immortal Female Genie Nature Being with all the desires that go with being a Female Genie attached to her also. There has always been one constant in Jeanie mind, Neil Friendship to her always and which she isn’t willing to let go of, like never. It also give us an opportunity to see just how dear Jeanie relationship with Neil has actually become since she has became a Genie too. There has always been a very deep attachment to Neil even before Jeanie was a Genie to the point that he was unwilling to be separated from his very dear friend Neil, that he would choose to leave Cincinnati to be with him. This deep bond and affection that Jeanie has for Neil now can now be explored in a little bit more detail now that they separated from each other.
In this Arc where Jeanie is away, I think it would be best to have two primary sub-plots line included into the primary plot line of Jeanie being away Arc. CD Rudd would be able to develop excellent story line in there own sub-plot lines and only one mediocre plot line if he tries to pull them together into one plot line. So yes, two plot lines, I say.
We could be looking at a triangle–Neal, Araeli and Liam? Hot red headed mermaid. I know you are referring to Tiffani but Caley could be a ‘Bubble Guppie.” My grandkids are 6 and 4. The tv set is permanently set to Paw Patrol, Bubble Guppies and anything with dinasours.

Liam went to the coffee shop to get two coffees. He had better remember to get something for Caley and Dominic or he will regret it. We’re going to tell Mama. I hope he took Dominic with him or the tour guide lady will be calling security again.

In the last strip Dominic and Caley were the same height. In this one he is shorter. But same shirt and same haircut. Of course most of them had the same haircut. Nice catch. congrats.
