You do indeed. Otherwise, they’d be trying to stop Blue as she enters the Pitt.
I have a feeling that this genie is not Jean, but her double from Germany.
This is Jeanie, that has already been established and it set in concrete.
Negative. It was a Blue Djinn all along. Why would he change the host?
Blue Djinn never changed hosts; he framed Germany Jeanie.
I sincerely hope that, after Jean gets her body back, she is either:
a) Stuck with the Blue Djinn’s powers and outfits. And has to basically hide this fact from everyone around her. Except maybe Neil.
b) She looses a lot of this power. And is forced into the Green dress the other Genie wears.
Or
c) Jean and Neil give the bottle back to Rouyaa and that ends the Genie Curse for Jean.
It already been established that Jeanie will never be going back to being Jean and will from the time that Jean, became Jeanie, that his very inner to that of a female Jeanie.
Whether or not Rouyaa ever becomes a Genie may be negotiable, she will probably never take her old bottle back, but, would probably have to get a new bottle or totem to live in.
… well she already IS in one bottle 🙂
Or she will get hwr pink outfit back and travel back in time to fix this… ok this is no a spoiler, we know she IS getting her pink outfit back and going back to the 60’s with Neill, we juat don $t know when or if it has anything to do with this yet.
She only had a second.. and she tried to call out for Guano?
Oh, I guess that could be what she was doing. I just thought it was a choking motion.
Guano makes me want to choke, though, so you’e probabaly right. 🙂
True, but Guano was the one to defeat the Blue Djinn before, so it would seem like a good idea to try to get his attention.
Dose Jean have three arms in panel one?
No, what you’re seeing is the guard’s right hand where he’s standing behind her.
All these guards are like Red Shirts in Star Trek… cannon fodder. You’d think that if they are guarding powerful prisoners they’d either be smarter or more powerful themselves.
The poor schmucks didn’t even have spears, just sticks.
Even if they had assault weapons I don’t think it would have helped with this.
Apparently, this guard duty is very boring and anyone smarter or more powerful found a way to get out of it.
I can’t remember what happened with the Blue Djinn’s body. Still in the mix somewhere in there?
Don’t think it’s been explained where his body is, or if it even still exists, at this point.
There lines of thought here:
1. His body been destroyed and doesn’t exist now and only his spirit exist.
2. It either locked up or messed up sufficiently that it useless to him.
If you want to follow through with this thinking. There is also two possibilities that the Blue Djinn is considering to do to restore himself to his original self and they are:
1. Take complete and total control of Jeanie body and disposes her of own body completely and make her the wondering spirit.
2. Or he may even try to get himself reborn into a new body. We know that possible too from when Jeanie was in Haji Harem.
Actually we know that Kazom was able to give Jeanie a temporary body when Jean screwed up way back in I Dream of a Nerd. Jehane’s appearance changed–but she remained a she. Jeanie has demonstrated many times now that she can change her appearance to that of any woman, but cannot become a man.
I really REALLY hope Jean doesn’t remember any of this when she gets her body back under her control. She might be a self-centered brat, but she doesn’t deserve to be stuck with these memories.
Don’t worry about it, she will remember it. Think of this possession of like a car. A car has a front seat and a back seat. The car is Jeanie Body and when Jeanie in the Front seat of the car, she driving it and the Blue Djinn in the back seat. When the Blue Djinn driving Jeanie Car, Jeanie in the back seat. When Jeanie is driving her car, she knows that the Blue Djinn in the back seat and fully conscious of what Jeanie is doing and when the Blue Djinn driving the reverse is so and Jeanie is fully conscious of what the Blue Djinn is doing with her body. I mean like everything. In panel one and two, Jeanie made an attempt to take control over her own body, but, the Blue Djinn was strong enough to overpower her and put her back down under his control.
Damn. I was hoping it wasn’t Yeerk rules. She’s gonna be broken when this is all over.
Maybe not broken. Haji can remove the memory.
Blue told her that she is a Djinn now. Is this going to be the promotion and will she still be tied to her bottle or are djinn free spirits?
Nah, Djinn is just a tittle used for traitors, no matter what kind of genies they are. According to Kazom, there was a time were it was just an old term, but after The Blue Djinn rebelion, the word was used to brand his followers and any other kind of future traitors to Haji’s rule.
Gonna be honest here, not sure what’s going on. Was Jean trying to do something? Why then did Blue Djinn switch to murder mode when apparently he could have done that earlier; so why did he get the armlet?
Jeanie break out of his control for half a second, so Blue has tonimprovice. We already knew back in page 500 that Blue expected to gain more power before taking control over Jeanie, but again, things didn’t go a planned. The idea seems to be that Blue has ni problem using force, but he isn’t ready to face Haji or the lords yet, so he will avoid using it If posible. So, if the guards would have allow him pass sooner, he may have avoid killing them. Though who knows, dependiendo of what he wants here, that may still have happenend on his way out.
She tried to call out “Guard!” but didn’t get enough time for a warning…
