Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
I think Jean/Jeanie has been in female mode long enough for unconscious perceptions to start shifting. Humans like to believe we are beings of intellect but all to often we make decisions based on instinct with out understanding.
At first I was going to think of the comment ” hot and sexy body” as just extreme narcissism, but she knows Neal is in there, her best and only friend. Kreldor has the right idea.
I’m a strong supporter of the theory Jeanie is slipping more and more into the mindset of Neil’s girlfriend however in this case I think it really is just her ego talking. Which isn’t to say she won’t find herself getting jealous of Jean and Belle.
Or perhaps Jeanie is just being Jeanie and assuming that there are no cameras? The gate areas and concourses should also be full of people and she’s just blissfully poofing around, la tee da, as if this is something everybody does. Some kid is going to notice her at some point, of that I’m certain.
I think that she forgot to give Neal some good stories and an explanation of what “he” was doing in the Middle-East. When I meet someone at the airport those are some of the first things I expect to hear, right after “good/bad flight.”
Let’s see how many ways we can think of for “Jean” to get delayed or disappeared before he gets to join the real Jean and Belle:
1) Anderson *did* see the poofing, but didn’t let on to her new supervisor. Perhaps she wants to make sure before she tells. Or perhaps she just wants to be a he again.
2) “Jean” runs into someone who knows the real Jean–like maybe the editor of that magazine Jean writes for. Or maybe Jean’s parents? Or that sister we learned about just a few weeks ago?
3) The authorities (DEA, FBI, CIA, CONTROL, U.N.C.L.E, Miami Vice, etc.) are looking for someone who fits Jean’s description.
4. Lord Gitmo?, Guano? The Genie lord dude shows up and takes Jeannie away, leaving Jean/Neil stuck in the airport, no ID, no money, no car with Belle, and DHS Agent Anderson.
Let’s see what might happen if Guano takes Jean away:
First of all, Neil will be stuck as “Jean.” He will try to convince Belle that he’s Jean, who, being a psych student, will wonder why his behavior has changed so much–or maybe get even madder at “Jean” who doesn’t seem to remember things about her that he damn well should.
Neil won’t be able to go to his job. He could get fired. Or, his boss, knowing very well that his contract will go into the toilet without Jean, will make a missing-person report–which will set off flags at, guess where, Homeland security. This will give Anderson an excuse to pick up Rodge, who she remembers was with “Natalie the librarian” in Las Vegas.
Assuming the real Jean is gone a long time and Neil is free, he’ll have to try to do Jean’s job. So “Jean” has at least two different ways of losing her job, which seems to be important to her keeping her identity.
It won’t take Guano to make Jeanie disappear. Agent Anderson could recognize her and pull her in for questioning leaving Neil-J and Belle alone because Jeanie isn’t with them right now and AA has not seen them before. Neil-J will be sitting down somewhere when Belle finds him, and fully accepts that as behavior typical for Jean. Then Belle will insist on finding Jeanie because she came with Belle in the car. “paging Jeanie to the white courtesy phone . . .”
Well, if Anderson tries to arrest Jean when Belle isn’t around, she’ll probably wind up on a familiar stripper pole (with company, if she has backup.) Anderson waited until Natalie was alone before scooping her up in Las Vegas.
Jean *might* exercise some restraint if Belle is with her when Anderson shows up, but I don’t see that restraint if Belle gets picked up.
Of course, once Jean uses magic where Belle can see…
“This is weird” ? He gets changed into a beautiful well endowed woman multiple times with hardly a peep and the first time as a different man he needs to sit down.
Jean/Jeanie referred to to the Jean twin as having a “hot sexy body” and pulls Neil/Jean close for a moment. Jeanie may be attracted partly by narcissism but subconsciously by growing female instincts.
Agent Anderson’s transformation may of happened before, they are in a magical universe, so the Feds could be aware of magic. Homeland security may have something like the X files or Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense to deal with that stuff.
Anderson may have some interesting backup when the arrests go down.
Jean really didn’t think this through
If it works, belle will be back with her boyfriend… that means kissing and makeup sex.
If he refuses she would obviously think he is really no longer interested in her.
This can only end badly, the only possible thing they could do that can end well is be honest with belle
Actually, the only way I can think that Jean can really get back with Belle is if Belle becomes Jean’s master and uses one of her first three wishes to change him back into a man. Remember something about the “reduced powers” of a genie who stays with its master after the three obligatory wishes?
Of course, we don’t know how much magic it will take, so maybe all we’ll be left with is an empty bottle…looking for a new genie?
don’t worry neil, its going to get even more confusing as the day goes on….

Who knows, maybe a few truths will come out of all of this nonsense.
If her old body was that hot and sexy, I’m surprised she dressed him up at all.
Notice, however, that it only became hot&sexy after it was covered in sharp clothes.
So what do you think the chances that Neil has Jean’s IDs?
I’m having difficulty imagining a place with more security cameras than an airport.
Maybe the ‘poof’s show up on video as a brief loss of signal?
Or perhaps Jeanie is just being Jeanie and assuming that there are no cameras? The gate areas and concourses should also be full of people and she’s just blissfully poofing around, la tee da, as if this is something everybody does. Some kid is going to notice her at some point, of that I’m certain.

Wait! No carry-ons? What kind of world traveler is this?
This is Jeannie we’re talking about…she’s not thinking things through like she should
I’d leave that last phrase out of your statement, & it would still be just as true.
Of course then Belle realizes that her Jean’s personality has changed a bit so that he’s more like Neal & then Jeanie gets jealous again.
The original show never got this twisted, mostly because it had to be resolved within (IIRC) a half hour.

Feel free to add any more suggestions.

You have an evil mind. I like it.
Let’s see what might happen if Guano takes Jean away:

I am amused to read the tags for this page.
I’m glad you like them. 🙂
Jean-ie is going to flip the hell out when Bell is all over Neil. Her blue eye will be GREEN.
Well, the storyline is called “I Dream of Green Eyes.”
Maybe more than one pair of green eyes. Don’t forget Caley and Araceli; both girls will be jealous when they see Neil with genie Jean.
Showing up at air ports without going through isn’t a great way to not attract home land security.
But people do that all the time, to see off relatives or welcome them back.
“This is weird” ? He gets changed into a beautiful well endowed woman multiple times with hardly a peep and the first time as a different man he needs to sit down.
I think that because of how Jean was acting with him. Pulling him close telling him he has a sexy body.
Although if a beautiful were to ask me to take her hot sexy body and then just disappear I might need to sit down.
The “hot sexy body” that Jean is referring to is Jean’s as a man. Modesty is not one of Jean’s strong points.
I realize that, but Neal probably only heard the first part than stopped listening.
Jean/Jeanie referred to to the Jean twin as having a “hot sexy body” and pulls Neil/Jean close for a moment. Jeanie may be attracted partly by narcissism but subconsciously by growing female instincts.
Jean/Jeanie’s male side is fading away.
I hope it does disappear for a while

Jean cannot be changed back into a man, not even with a master’s wish.
I can see this backfiring severely…Jean just confess and say you have boobs now too.
I’m really, REALLY liking this story so far.
Here’s to hoping Jean shows those ‘Green Eyes’ quite clearly.
