Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
Above and beyond that, Belle does NOT know about magic yet, so the whole concept of “guy magically changed into a girl” would be dismissed as an impossibility at this point. She does not suspect that Jeannie is Jean because “of course” a man can’t turn into a woman overnight.
This is the point where Jeannie finally realizes that Belle doesn’t know she is/was Jean. and even though she originally intended to keep in contact with belle as Jean as well but she forgot and just did it all as Jeannie instead.
Belle may totally freak out or freak out a little bit and then become supportive. When she finds out how the enchanted bottle caused Jean’s transformation she may be rolling on the floor laughing her self silly!
Well, in the TV series Dr. Bellows was always kept in the dark. That doesn’t mean CD has to follow that trope, but it would be consistent with the source material if Belle Lowes never quite finds out the truth but is constantly confused by odd happenings.
It’s interesting how you draw Belle’s hair. You draw her fringe visibly over her eyes, and it creates the illusion of fringe without ruining our view of her eyes or making it difficult to draw. Just an observation. I’ve also been really enjoying this new storyline with Belle 🙂
Her face in the last panel… it almost looks like she’s figured it out…
…how the hell did she figure it out?
Well… now that I think about it… there seemed to be systems in place for Red, so it can’t be THAT rare…
Is Jean really this Dumb? I am sorry the was a rhetorical question.
Bell is going to put this together in a few seconds.
Of *course* Jean is this dumb. 🙂 But don’t forget that characters in fiction don’t all have the same information that the reader does.
I have read the comic from the start and Jean has not made a smart move yet.
I do love the characters though even Jean(the wrecking ball)ie

So much for “I Enjoy Being a Girl.”
Guess she’s not that sharp as I thought.
Unless it’s just another teaser, it looks like Jean is about to tell Belle the truth.

Are we finally getting this resolved? It’s only been 200+ comics. Yea!
Am I the only one who’s noticed that Jeanie hasn’t protestd she doesn’t like Neil?
Hehehehe… *I* noticed that. 🙂
Yea, I can’t wait to to see Kailey? Rogers Niece? and Jean both turn green with jealous rage when Arcelle sees Neil and fawns over him.
So is jean going to tell all, i hope so it be so cool if someone else knew the secret

I’m sorry but I’m just stuck on trying to remember who has green eyes.
It’s a reference to a certain emotional state, actually. Not a person.
Oooh, is that emotion envy?
