A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Caleyis a red head do I am going with its her. Also its the dumb kind of thing a girl would do to be near a man. Changing jobs shifts that sort of thing.
Whats up with the cross eyed look though in the first pannel?
I think that it is more likely to be Caley. She would still be Araceli’s master, and that seems like the sort of thing she’d ask for since she is supposed to have a crush on Niel. On the other hand, Kendra could be a totally new character. Eventually we’ll find out what happened with Guano, Araceli and Caley. We know that Rodge just woke up feeling stiff from having been ossified
Gonna take a guess and that she’s walking that way because she’s in high heels for the first time, and hasn’t quite gotten the hang of walking in them.
I think if Araceli was on her own, she could try to pose as Kendra. But:
* Araceli doesn’t know enough about modern culture to really pull off Kendra’s look.
* Araceli is bound to Caley as her master now, and, moreover, seems to care for Caley–she is a traditional bottle genie, after all, or is trying to be one.
And Neil? The only “girl” Neil has shown any physical response to so far is Jean(ie). If I was writing a backstory to justify that, I would say that Neil has had so much rejection by females that he’s just stopped trying. Hey, his absolutely boldest action in that arena has been getting Jean(ie) to do some jumping jacks!
Caley would have to be pretty precocious to pull off a “Kendra.” I don’t know what age Mr. Rudd has set for her, but she seems to be smaller than the middle-schoolers we saw in “I Dream of a Nerd.” I’d peg her as nine-to-eleven years old.
Hard to say her flirting does seem to focus more on her hips than breaststroke or light touches assuming she is in fact flirting at all and not just a dedicated new office worker.
Or he just isn’t interested in dating at the workplace? Nah, it couldn’t be that!
He might be looking. But he’s not looking at the office. And Kendra, no matter good looking she is, he may just not interested in her. Friends with her already, knows her well enough to not be interested in a romantic relationship with her, happy with her as a friend, yadda yadda yadda, etc.
I think Neil had Jean-ie doing jumping jacks because he thought it was good pay back also Jeanie has some impressive charms front and back no strait guy would pass on seeing every thing jigging.
What if it was Caley and Aracelli combined into one person? They both have a crush on Neil. Therefore Kendra would have Caley’s grasp of modern tech and Aracelli’s feminine wiles. Pretty far fetched I know, just throwing it out there.
Neil’s gonna let him get away with that “must be nice to have a body made of jello” comment? I mean, it may be true that Neil’s not exactly in the best of shape (or “the best of shapes,” that one being Stripper Natalie :p), but where does one get off calling a friend “fat”?
Trope-wise, Neil isn’t Major Nelson who was, let’s face it, not the least nerdy. And Jean is pretty much the antithesis of Jeannie because he/she is self-absorbed whereas Jeannie is focused on other people, mostly on helping them. In fact, Araceli is a lot more like the original Jeannie character than Jean (who still hasn’t got a last name after five years–come on, C.D.R, pick one out of the phone book or run another contest.)
Other women being interested in Jeannie’s master, however, is most certainly in the original IDOJ trope. Remember, Captain Nelson had a fiancee in the first episode–who was never seen again (hmmm….?)
Something totally out of the IDOJ trope but which might fit the TG trope: If Jean can never go back to being a guy, and finds she can’t abandon his attachment to Belle, couldn’t Jean change Belle into a guy? Or is that further than we are willing to go?
It seems Neil isn’t attracted by Kendra at all, though she certainly moves seductively. Could it be he’s slowly falling for a certain blonde genie?
Rodge, all womanizer, on the other hand is ogling the secretary. Probably a new plot twist? We will see!
Honestly I think Neil is married to his work and just doesn’t think about those kind of things.
I personally have a suspicion that new secretary is rather more closely related to Rodge than he realises.
This seems relevant and may explain a thing or two: http://www.smbc-comics.com/?id=3132
I doubt it and Jean doesn’t like guys anyway.
I think its Caley. I’m at least 80% sure at least.
No, I think it’s Aricelli!
I vote Aricaley.
I vote Caley.
Huh, I hadn’t thought of that. It’s possible.
I was thinking Araceli, but she’s not really that subtle, is she?
True, but then the direct approach really didn’t work out so well for Aricelli last time! 😀
She does have almost the same color hair as Caley.

I like that she walks with a little wiggle, enough to get Rog derailed.
Gonna take a guess and that she’s walking that way because she’s in high heels for the first time, and hasn’t quite gotten the hang of walking in them.
I can’t see it being her seems Neil knows her even though she is new to the office.
I love redheads!
Hopefully Kendra becomes a genie 😉
That would be cool.
has anyone thought it could be Lord guano keeping tabs on Neil
I don’t think so. It’s not his style.
I don’t think so either. Guano isn’t smart enough to be a convincing female impersonator, even with magic.
Hotcha~ Love how Kendra moves~

Kendra or Caley? I think Kendra is just a small women. Not a young. I bet she is at least 18 to early 20s
Hard to say her flirting does seem to focus more on her hips than breaststroke or light touches assuming she is in fact flirting at all and not just a dedicated new office worker.

It’s Caley. The skin color, eye shape and of course the hair color are nearly identical.

Because Rodge is a guy and Neil is a guy (now). If Neil was Natalie, then, instant war.
I figured Rodge was talking about Kendra, “Must be jello cause jam don’t shake like that . . .” Nice ambiguity, CD.
I’m Thinking RED Herring. or maybe a potential Love match that Neil Totally Blows Because of the whole misunderstanding trope.
