Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
I’d like to point out, technically, his wish was granted. Jean was trying to get him a girl, one that would love him, and there you go, he got the girl
I think Jean(ie) got his/her body (female version) back. That might seem too easy, but really, things are complicated enough without this subplot going on a lot longer. Jeanie has managed to get Melvin together with his crush girl. I think the Star Trek shirt bodes well for that relationship. Now will Jeanie remember to return “Red” to male form before he gets to go home?
I think “doppel-Jean” is trying to “blink” Holly away–but can’t! Genie magic can’t affect love, right? Isn’t that how Jean got into this predicament in the first place?
According to what can be seen at https://jeaniebottle.com/?p=514, a failed enchantment is written as a “Dong” and not as a “Blink”.
Each time the doppel-Jean made an enchantment it was a “Poof” like original Jean’s. But now there was no “Dong” nor “Poof” but “Blink”.
However, original Jean makes her enchantments using her hands and doppel-Jean doesn’t. In the dancing scene she’s holding Melvin with both hands while she Poofs Jean out, so she must be doing it by blinking her eyes (like Jeannie in the original series does) so I conclude that the blinks are failed attempts of poofing Jean out. And the failure must be provoked by Melvin finally having seduced Holly.
And, if it happens the same thing that previously, but in the opposite way, the doppel-Jean should vanish in the air and original Jean should take her place. Or, perhaps, returning to her original dimension with her original Master Neil as she had succeeded in fulfilling Melvin’s wish.
Any of those choices should happen in comic #159.
If not, let the doppel-Jean turn me to a mermaid!!
Sorry about the slow updating. But considering I update Sailorsun.org 3 times a week (or as often as I can), Jeanie bottle at least once a week, plus a full time job, plus manage a part time biz.
I can get a little busy.
I update Jeanie bottle on Thursday and/or Thursday. Any other times I make sure to announce it. So that should help your visiting
OK, “Annoyed,” how much are you paying for this entertainment, eh? That’s the exact amount you are entitled to complain about not receiving it on the schedule you prefer. Cable TV charges anywhere from $30 to $200 per month and is delivered at the flick of a switch; perhaps you should re-think whether that is the appropriate model for SailorSun or Jeannie.
If this is our new “entitlement” generation, I have a feeling they are eventually going to starve to death…
And yes, I appreciate what Rudd does, notwithstanding the spelling and usage divagation.
I’m not worried if it takes a month for updates, or even longer, as long as CD and his family is healthy and happy, I am glad for updates when they happen.
..and I’m extremely impatient, btw, tho when it comes to a good webcomic, I curb my snits.
Is this mean she took the body back?

probably not that would be too easy.
Look back through the last few dozen strips. That wasn’t easy.

Meh, probably not. Guy, you’re now stuck with being a red-haired babe.
Most likely not, remember the First Law of Gender Bending:
“Once a girl has been created, circumstances will conspire to keep her a girl.”

Maybe the nerdy girl is in the Jean’s old body now.
wou;dn’t that be a twist
How about Melvins friends get voted for King and Queen of the dance? Makes it even more difficult to turn Red back to male.

no that’s definitely Jean trying to figure out why he’s suddenly back in the middle of the party instead of behind the door complaining he can’t see.
Dopple-Jean always made angry faces before doing magic.
I dunno! That could be interpreted as an “angry” look. And the repeated blinking….
Repeated blinking is a nearly universal way to represent confusion.

Please keep posting more of these comics. Its tiring coming in and once a week at most there’s a new comic.
I use Piperka (http://piperka.net) to keep track of when a comic updates. It’s free & fairly simple to use.
& my comic (littlelevers.com/Angels) is also on that service. ;D
The [shameless plug] tags disappeared. 🙁
I just use the “Morning Coffee” add-in for Firefox and set the day for updates.
May have to try that Piperka though.

When is usually the continue ???

Agreed. I read pawn and platinum grit. I’ve waited three years for an update.
WTF Comics updates about once in a blue moon…on the plus side, when it DOES update, it’s usually 3 pages at a time.
Girl-type Jeanie… I kill!
I think Jeanie ½ would be a nice alt title, don’t you?
And now, Fade to Black.
Or, given that it would be Araceli we’d be returning to, Fade to Blue?
