I’m thinking about the sort of reaction when that teacher from the Wotch got changed into a girl with everybody suddenly paying attention and writing down notes whereas before they were barely listening.
Unless she was watching cartoons (and it was implied earlier she was watching Gilligan’s Island) that’s not a great description of what TV is.
I would have said it’s like a stage play, except the magic window box is showing us a play that was performed years ago at some distant place, which we can now watch in the comfort of our own homes rather than a sweat-smelling theatre-pit.
I don’t know how long she’s been in the bottle that’s floating in the ocean, but stage performances have been around for many centuries at least. Shouldn’t be too foriegn a concept for her.
