Jeanie Bottle Extra
“We’ll get her started with commercials…”
Well, there we go, a weeks worth of Jeanie Bottle comics. Hope you all enjoyed it.
This comic (comic 8 so I didn’t rip anyone off, there was 7/a week worth story comic updates) isn’t part of the story. It’s just an extra little quick visit in, and to help those who didn’t really know where the War Mallet Girl came from Earlier.

Awh I want MORE with Red >:[
Seconded! And I want to know why the cardboard figure is looking at Red.
Anyone who wants to see more Red can check out The Melvin Chronicles, which is a spin-off of Jeanie Bottle that follows Melvin and his crew.
wow red sure looks like she recently got hotter. we need more with her! It is a little surprising that this is what her parents choose to focus her talents on…
She’s a teenager and everyone needs to start somewhere. I’m sure in a few years if she lets them keep controlling her she’ll be in some pretty major movies and I think its more of a getting used to being a girl and taking more care with her looks.
I like her school uniform–it’s cute and hawt without being over-the-top.
She looks better with the hat.
I don’t think she’s changed after Jeanies body zapped her with tighter clothes and longer hair she looked about the same.
Leaving aside her new junior career path, it’s nice to see the three of them have kept in touch even after she changed schools…
I hope we get to see more of these guys in the future, plus the genie cat, miss that lazy guy.
You know, if she doesn’t figure a way to cash in on this I will be extremely disappointed. But I’ll bet Betan dollars that Genie has already forgotten her existence.
As an aside, it looks as if she’s putting her foot into the photo ad thingy (I know there’s a name for them, but…) in the final panel.
And I agree with blue shirt nerd in panel 4.
Yeah, I’m totally in favor of this becoming a full-fledged side-story.
Or a spin-off comic; flesh out their characters a little more, showing them before and after red became a girl
That would be interesting if our resident author has the time to do that without burning out.
I would love to see these characters in there own side story too. Problem, is I have TOO much already on my plate.
If someone else wants to take on the project, I’m more then happy to consult.
I think we need a new spin off comic based off these guys (and girl, definitely the girl) I gotta say both these comic’s need more red heads.
We just got one and you want more?
Yes!! xD
I would love to see someone take these guys on in a spin off comic. (Plus I’ve never had a spin off)
I would do it(and don’t think I haven’t thought about it) but I have too much going on with SailorSun.org, Jeanie Bottle, Wolfpac, Extras and real life stuff going on to invest in another comic.
Now if someone wants to take on the project, I’m more then happy to consult with them.
Unless that happens, we’ll probably only see glimpses of them (like here) from time to time.
that Remind me of a old tv show I used to watch (Zena the warrior Pirincss ) anyway l’m just saying
Thanks for the comic “marathon” this week ;-).
Just a question, why people in most comics from CD Rudd have this greenish grey skin? It makes the comic look worse than it should.
I’ve messed a bit with the colors in this comic, take a look:

This was just a quick filter, so it has the side effect of having the redhead’s color being fuchsia and funny colors in the ogres, but if you ignore that, I think the strip looks better with a pinker skin tone.
Anyway, thanks for your work!
I think CD’s monitor may have a color balance issue. Although I don’t personally see any greenish/greyish coloration on this comic, some others definitely do show a greenish tinge on skintones.
It’s odd. Look at the first strip and all the humans (except Jeannie) have normal flesh tones, with Jeannie having weird grey skin. But now everybody has grey skin. I wonder if they’re turning into zombies
It seems the “[IMG][/IMG]” tags don’t work here, so remove them to see the URL:

Honestly, CD’s color palette looks better to me.
You shouldn’t really compare the palettes. Of course most colors are off in my modified pic, since it was just a filter just intended to show the skin color I think characters could have.
The skin color is now starting to blend into the wall color. Couldn’t you just pick the skin areas you wanted to change without performing a forced change on the whole thing?
& CD & I have discussed this issue before. My recommendation was to make up a color palette for each story arc & one for the main characters. Then he could have that palette “up” with the comic he’s working on & the characters will never do that green shift he gets when he picks the colors off of the last comic.
However, it is his opus & after I make a recommendation I do not push it anymore, the choices are his to make.
Fuchsia is nice hair color for her though. 😉
He does have such a palette (he told me about it when I noticed David’s apparently green skintone in the latest SS.org comic). However, I think his monitor may be displaying his pallet slightly less green than it actually is, making it seem fine for him, but slightly greenish for us.
Another thing to check is if he is doing anything in CMYK before converting to rgb. Some tools do the conversion poorly and I have seen shifts in my comic test pages that turn out greenish. Just a thought.
When that happens I go back to the original CMYK and do the rgb conversion on photoshop. Then it’s clean and true to the palette.
Yes, the skin color blends with the walls’ but thats not the point. Most colors are off in this image, since this is a quick filter I applied to the whole image (changing only some colors would be a lot more work since I don’t have the originals). This image is not an example of how I think everything should look, but only an example of a more “natural” skin tone (IMHO).
Even though the skin colors in this comic are not as green as in some other comics, it’s still too grey, so that’s why I sent this as an example of a better color (again, in my opinion), so please ignore the rest of colours. I agree that the fuchsia hair doesn’t look too bad, though 😉
Glad to hear that, Rob. (& sorry to hear about your computer) Perhaps he could send a copy of his pallet to someone (Like LMAO?) to red shift it a bit? Those military computers never got over that whole camouflage thing. 🙂
I sure hope that skirt is a skort or it would be indecent. Not to mention it would attract perverted any thing goes martial arts masters, and increase the likely hood of tentacle monsters by 76.5%
Well Happosai was last seen in California and the national guard was called out on him. Chuck Norris may or may have not been involved as a last resort. However, Red looking hotter may have been survival instincts kicking in to survive in a girls school.
The thing I find interesting here is that while they are still gaming with Red, they are going on about how hot War Mallet Girl is, and yet they haven’t noticed that she was modeled after Red.
Which is probably better than them deciding that Red is hawt and starting to drool after her.
But srsly, if we are going to keep seeing these characters, perhaps we should learn their names?
No doubt sooner rather than later they’ll all drool all over her picture while still respecting their female friend as a real person that deserves respect.
Hey CD, this is Robert. My desktop broke down, and I’m writing this from my tablet. I can’t figure out my AIM password, and it’s not letting me reset it. And I don’t recall the login info for the email address you gave me.
Anyway, what I need to say is that my PC broke down, and it’s gonna take some time to fix it. Hopefully you’ll get this note in a timely manner. I’m going to also post it elsewhere.
No worries. I can post when I get comics made.
For readers… Welcome back grammar errors
Oh noes! hear whee goes agin! 😉
🙁 I… feel really sorry for Red.
So they’re still friends and hang out together even though she’s been shipped off to a girls’ school? Why doesn’t she have her friend with the cat-genie change her back already? Wouldn’t that be REALLY EASY? Or is she really so indifferent to having been turned into a girl that it’s just too much effort to change back because of the fuss of changing schools again?
Kazom is extremely conservative with his magic, as he has very little magic remaining, meaning he’s near the end of his life. It would significantly shorten his remaining lifetime to counter another genie’s magic.
