She downloaded a video game, clearly a pirate.
At least 6 police cars. There’s not enough police cars to send six after everyone who downloaded a video game. There’s not enough to send one.
Usually you only get six cars at once when the cops expect violence. A typical not-expected-to-get-violent arrest attempt would usually involve only about four or so officers.

Ah… *this* could explain Jeanie’s double presence “lurking” around outside in 699 and (presumably) poofing her bottle out of the house in 700.
We must be looking at a different side of the house than what was shown through the window in 700-701. As the houses seemed much closer than they would be with that much yard and driveway. Could be changes made by Jeanie’s actions I guess. Still, if the two inside when she left lost their memory of why one is now a girl and the other has a chair of cash they may have called the authorities, or maybe they were being watched before this. That cash may have a history?
No, we must have been seeing out that window, because Moron #2 was pointing out the fancy car in the driveway. Which we can see in Panel 2, just above the black cop car. Looks like a Lambo to me, so it’d be the car from the second car wish, since the first is a Porsche.
Porsche? I only see the Lambo. The link on the comic for the larger version hasn’t been working for a little while. I go back to old comics and it still works, so that makes me think it is not on my end. Could you check please?
Red Shirt wished for a Porsche. He — soon to be she — got it. Blue Shirt wished for a nicer car, so he got the Lambo.
Say, THAT wouldn’t be why the cops are there. To investigate two missing cars. And just wait till they see all that money and ask for an explanation.
As to how the cops found the pair so quick. Whoever their real owners were had the cars “lo-jacked” so they could be traced if stolen.

This is too soon for the police to be here for either the cars or the money. Even if one or the other has history, Jeanie has only been gone half an hour or so and the police never respond that quickly. This is almost certainly due to someone calling 911… either some crazy woman (without ID) screaming that she’s been transformed by a genie and the police came to deal with that call, or the two stoners started fighting and a neighbor called 911 because of the disturbance. Why Orlando sent a car, is a mystery (they’re an hour away without traffic).
Maybe Orlando is where the nearest magical cop was located and don’t tell me a universe that have crazy stuff like djinni and witches don’t have a magical crime department
If they had a crime department that was aware of and had experience with magic, Agent Anderson would be in a better position
Though I suppose the deal with Anderson could have resulted in the creation of such a department

Could have nothing to do with Jeanie. Maybe they’re busting the stoners for drugs.

No in this day and age. It seems they like to call out SWAT for the littlest things.
Well they did steal Jeanie’s bottle, maybe that wasn’t the first time they’ve performed such a despicable act. Would a string of prior robberies on their part really be surprising?

The blue car without cherries on top is FBI. I guess we could all go down to the local convience store for coffee and donuts.
Where did the two “black and white” cars come from. Those are usually traffic patrol cars. Blue hard top to the right of the far black and white could be the porsche. The lambo does not have plates on it. Stolen car.
We have 3 cars from Cocoa Beach, one from Orlando (an hour drive on a good day), 2 black and whites (origin unknown) and 1 unmarked. The unmarked might be from just about any federal agency (FBI, DEA, DHS, NCIS, AFOSI?
Hell, it might even be from the Kennedy Space Center since Neil is a contractor and it’s right up the road.)
To be fair, the plate on the Lambo is so small we may not be able to see it and it may not be stolen. However, this brings up a new possibility… either car (or both) may have been owned by a Miami Vice style kingpin and the police are responding to that. Response time still seems way too quick.
The dark blue unmarked has license plate FBI-711. Coincidence on the letters? I doubt it.

Jeanie… For that one wish… Where did you get the money from?
Even if she stole it, how would they find out where it is so quickly? Even if Green Shirt went out to spend it right away, the police would barely have had time to arrest him by now, much less get a warrant to search his home.
It could be that one of the cars had a wireless tracker or air tag in it. That would tell you not only that the car was there, but possibly that it had moved an absurd distance or speed between trackings.
Oh, all of the corners of the bills have been clipped off. The mint will never miss it.
pne possible plot. Car 54 sees a porsche and fero with no plates. Calls for back-up and !-Adam 12 shows up. Evters the house and red shirt girl, still mouthy, tells themabout the genie. Spot the cash chair and calls for more back up. Local detectives, FBI, ATF and the third gray car does not have the Coco Beach blue pin stripe so whoever that is. Jesnie has to make a time trip to fix everything. The comix’s motto–What could go wrong.
“tells them about the genie” That might explain the number of cars… One of them is from the psych hospital.
I’m going to take a wild guess that this is about the 2 cars and throne-worth of money inside of the place. And if it is, then this won’t end well for them.

The Black and Whites are probably traffic enforcement, and they are next to the two wish cars. So, likely one of the people inside went out for a joyride and was followed home by the cops for some enforcement issue.
I’d bet the new girl went for the ride. 🙂
Also, there are a lot of silhouettes of what look like people standing around. ???

This kind of attention can not help Neil either, as he works at the Kennedy Space Center. He has to keep a pretty clean record to have any security clearance and Jeanie can’t be making that easy to keep.
What if the money had a lowjack tracker in it whereupon it came from an armored truck, and they honed in on the tracker?
Good thing Jeanie decided to walk back, otherwise she would’ve poofed into some serious trouble.
This is why you don’t get lazy when granting wishes, Jeannie. Instead of grabbing the cars from a nearby showroom, you could have magically assembled parts at the factory so the car would essentially be a “Ghost Car” that was never recorded at the factory.
