Though Jeanie doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about it…
After the prom fiasco can see why Jean doesn’t want to come out. Even for his girlfriend birthday while he can never be a man again so a lot to deal with all at once. And is that Anne figurine from Wotch webcomics in the background?
That’s a good question! I’m not sure who that’s supposed to be. Maybe we’ll find out.
That figurine has been in the background of Neil’s room since he moved to this house, but I never knew what the heck it was until this panel that showed it’s a figurine of some sort.

Huh. Don’t remember seeing it before.
It’s really tiny in the published pages, and not at all noteworthy… unless you’re the editor who looks closely at every single detail.
It’s visible in the first page of the Timey Wimey story, and several other pages afterward.
The figurine first appeared on page 612, panel 3.
Is Jeanie a tiny bit traumatized about having lost her female virginity by selfcest?
Maybe now it’s a bit more difficult to keep telling herself “but deep inside I’m still a man”.
Or it’s because he saw a world where ge was incredibly cruel to genie Natalie.
Also possible! Jean already once imagined what he *thought* it’d be like if Neil had gotten the bottle, rather than him. Now he’s *seen* that reality, and may have been extremely disturbed by it.

Welcome back, haven’t heard from you in a while.
I wonder why Jean’s feeling blue, sad that is.
I wonder what is bothering Jean the most. Having sex with his past self or the fact that he saw how cruel he could become in an alternate timeline.
Considering how self-centered Jeanie is, likely the first: “I didn´t do anything! Alternate selves don´t count. Ask Picard or anyone from Star Trek.”
Though seeing how self centered he could be might have made Jean realize how bad they could be.
Is Neil asking Jeanie out on a date?

The way he phrased himself was a little awkward, but I don’t think that was his intent.
When you have sex with yourself, isn’t that technically “masturbation”? Albeit with a unique twist in this case.

Here’s a theory… Jeanie isn’t in her bottle because she was summoned to Haji’s palace. Perhaps Guano is being ordained as Haji, or maybe mother wants to have a chat about babies.
Exactly what I was thinking about: she may not BE there.
And it would be just like her to not tell Neil where she’s going.

The be fair, the first time she got summoned there, she wasn’t expecting to be instantly transported there against her will. And the second time, she got escorted there by armed guards, *also* against her will.
I’m still wondering if Jeanie didn’t just use magic to make Teen Jean think he lost his virginity in order to put things back on track. The thought of which was probably nauseating enough for her. But, who knows? I guess we’ll see if it ever comes up.
She may not have needed to use magic on him for that. She could have simply gotten him blackout drunk and then left behind evidence of a wild night that never happened.
It all depends on how much Jeannie remembers from that night
Since she saw that doing things differently then she remembers changes the timeline
Given that that wasn’t her first thought (or at least her first thought after her initial panic) implies she actually has memories of the act itself
Why would she have been gone all night, and then afterward claimed to Natalie that she needed a shower, if she’d just faked the sex?
Jean literally fell upon her own sword to save her friend and the timeline. She will take time to mend.
Well, she was the one who threatened them in the first place by messing with things she should have not, like their own past.
She’s been taking a shower for the entire hiatus.
How does Neil know Jean is in there? That he’s not talking to an empty bottle.
It’s not like there’s a little sign, “The genie is IN”
Good question. It’s possible that he’s just assuming she’s there, since he probably saw her go into the bottle at some point recently.
Though maybe he has some kind of Genie’s Master Sense, and can tell she’s there even without seeing or hearing her? Not sure.
My bet is she’s not in there at all
So the REAL reason there hasn’t been an official story page in so long is because there hasn’t been any story! She’s been holed up in her bottle the whole time doing nothing!
