Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
welcome to your version of back to the future 2 with it alternate time line. Maybe you need to go back to prom and make sure this alternate time line never happens
at least Natalie didn’t compund jean guilt with telling her how many periods she had to suffer over the years and how many men hit on her over the years.
Ten years – having to go through the other half of puberty – in the wrong body – in the wrong time – having to be ridiculously boring JUST in the hopes of protecting the time line
ONLY FOR THE TIME LINE TO FUCK ITSELF UP ANYWAY!!!!!
I don’t see that happening, because, that would absolutely need two separate time line, because, you have two or more apposing thing that have to happen to have both our regular Jeanie Bottle series and/or The Natalie Story series, starting with Teen Natalie and going forward.
@Larry: It’s not like we haven’t had detours to past events before. There’s the I Dream of Technicolor sequence set in the 1940’s, and the I Dream of an Escape sequence set in the 1970’s (Rouyaa and Jehane, respectively).
@Mike: But, this is the first time that a detours protentually messes up the time line. They were detours to that part of the Jeanie Bottle series and it now we go back to the main core of the Jeanie Bottle Series. So this detours is a little bit different than those other detours. Currently, I only see two ways out of this detour and they are:
1. Go full force with a two time line scenario and then do a card deck shuffle of the two two time lines into one time line and you will came out with a Mandela effect, that where different people will remember the same event differently, because, that what they saw.
2. Jeanie start the process of backing out of this mess, leaving this Natalie where she at and go back to Prom or just after the prom and do some damage repair and turn Natalie back into Neil and retreat back to the original time where Jean picks up the Bottle and become Jeanie.
Maybe a bonus short series on it, like how CD does the bonus series showing the adventures of Brad when he first got turned into Bay before the Sailorsun.org story proper begins.
natalie could have claimed a form of amnesia i suppose. then gotten a new SSN and could have gotten work somewhere at 16. did her best to test out of HS / graduate early. then laying low and surviving until if / when jeanie arrived.
Just had a thought… *someone* had to have opened the bottle before Jeanie poof-ed out of it (and arguably, before the poof-ing into the bottle, though this could be explained away with timey wimey wibble wobble). A genie cannot leave a sealed bottle.
So who opened the bottle? Or what timeline requirement occurred that the bottle became open?
To answer your second question, Jeanie can only go into that bottle after she take possession of it. So that at least 6 or 7 years into the future that she has to go to enter that bottle as a minimum amount time. Since she has already been in that bottle for about a year now and if she goes back to it, it will be just after she left for the past, that is the earliest time that she can enter that again bottle. Are there other factor that might push it further into the future, don’t know?
I will let other people argue that it further into the future than 6 or 7 years.
Actually, Jean is a self centered narcissist bastard that think the world revolve around himself and that he God gift to women kind. He is shot sighted and doesn’t think thing through or considers what the consequence are going be to the things that he chooses to do. He a Alpha Male also and domineering to his core too. He try to take liberty that he has absolutely no business in trying to do, like trying to take Jeanie to that Hotel Room. The reason that he like Neil is, at least he will tolerate him and some of the crap that Jean does too.
Jean who was turned into a Female Genie called Jeanie is only marginally a better person than her old male self, but, now she has the power of a Genie now and can do all kinds of magical thing now. So now only do you have that old nature in Jeanie to contend with, you also have the Genie Nature that was also instilled into Jean when he became a she and now goes by the name of Jeanie. He was drop into a magical female body. Female Bottle Genie have Mother spirit for there Master and like to please them. But, now Jeanie is a Alpha female.
You can both like Jeanie and Hate Jeanie at the same time as you watch her being both girlified and Geniefied too contrary to what she really wanted. Her Master is a Beta Male who is laid back and not very assertive most of the time when he should say no, he doesn’t do that. That why Jeanie can do more things that she should be allowed to do and usually get away with it too. This Jeanie Bottle series revolve around these two people and does very effectively too. 50srefugee complains that Neil isn’t what he should be as a Master be and he right, but, if Neil start doing that, it would basically kill this series, because, he would shut down everything that Jeanie shouldn’t be doing. It the crap that Jeanie is pulling that make the Jeanie Bottle comic series that it is.

xD
Isn’t it great how the comments section blows up whenever Natalie takes center stage?
That’s because she’s so much more interesting a character.
Except for (maybe) that whole ‘laying low’ mentioned above, this Natalie’s story might make a great spin-off strip.
I don’t see that happening, because, that would absolutely need two separate time line, because, you have two or more apposing thing that have to happen to have both our regular Jeanie Bottle series and/or The Natalie Story series, starting with Teen Natalie and going forward.
I like the idea, but, NO!

Natalie did pretty good as a teenage girl who was left with no money, no home and no official identity.
Yes, and I’d really like to read a backstory on how she did it. We know that she’ll have foresight on many events.
Maybe a bonus short series on it, like how CD does the bonus series showing the adventures of Brad when he first got turned into Bay before the Sailorsun.org story proper begins.
Funny you should mention that… Read the description for tonight’s page. 🙂

Nice little black dress, on the banner.
Right?? Jeanie looks amazing.
This was a very long and roundabout way for magic to grant Neils second wish without undoing the first. I’m impressed.
“That’s not how it works, that’s not how any of this works!” Esurance commercial.

I wondered about that as well. maybe the bottle was uncorked already when Natalie bought it.
In the original series, episode 1, go there and you will see that there isn’t a cork in it and it open. go here to see. https://jeaniebottle.com/archives/comic/jeanie-bottle-1

Jeanie’s bottle isn’t sealed. It didn’t originally come with the stopper. Araceli added that later… but apparently not in the timeline?
ok I was wrong – Jean’s so awful a person he even messes his own life up.
Actually, Jean is a self centered narcissist bastard that think the world revolve around himself and that he God gift to women kind. Natalie has forgotten how to talk to Jean. Jean only wants to know about themselves.
