Plus Kazom is a teacher to Melvin magic powers but he can complain except the part for not being paid.

Can’t Araceli use her magic to recharge the battery?
cellphones are made with technology. they’re out of a genie’s jurisdiction.
I doubt that after shrinking a smartphone, it would still work. You know these tiny transistors (several nanometres each) in smartphone’s CPU have a technological limits.
Vik: Depends on how the smartphone is shrunk … but generally, shrunk smartphone is more likely to work than shrunk person. Sure, some transistors have just few layers of silicon … but EVERY cell has just SINGLE layer of fat molecules in membrane (well … two, one facing in, one facing out). If the magic can keep shrunk person alive, it can keep the phone working.
Now … catching signal with shrunk antennae is another question.
Going into her bottle was Araceli’s suggestion to Jeanie to make her stop sneezing out all her magic, during the I Dream of a General story. Maybe that’s because being inside the bottle actually disables your magic? I’m not sure.

I’m going to guess this is Kazom’s aftermath of his very, very, very bad idea of secretly controlling Melvin thru his dreams with the Three Succubi. He had it coming honestly.
How would Araceli have Kazom’s number (more likely Melvin’s), let alone a smart phone? Caley, maybe?
Yeah, a comment on yesterday’s page mentioned that she got a cellphone when she started her job as “Caley’s nanny”.
That doesn’t explain why Araceli would have Kazom’s number. Remember, Araceli is Guano’s niece, and Guano isn’t exactly Kazom’s favorite person.
Kazom and Guano don’t like each other, but, they still have to work with each other in the Genie Realm whether they like each other or not. But, even considering the animosity between those two, Guano still use or has to Kazom as the Genie Teacher for the one day Genie School to teach the new Genie the ropes of how to be a Genie and how to act like a Genie.

That being said, Araceli just being around for maybe nine months or more, she going to pick up so information about other Genie if they also have cell phones. There might even be a Genie phone directory too of all the Genie that have Cell phones.
The question is, will Kazom respond to Araceli plea for help in that she is Guano Nice. Hopeful he will considering the circumstances.
As soon as Araceli got it, she probably synced it with her GenieExchange account, automatically adding all the numbers of every Genie Lord in the world.

Kazom may dislike Araceli due to her relation to Guano, but as long as he listens for long enough to hear that the Blue Djinn has taken over Jeanie, then he will take action (or at least spread the word to other important Genies) just because he knows how much of a threat Blue is. He’s not doing it to save Araceli and Guano–he’s doing it to stop Blue.
She better hope Uncle Guano doesn’t find out about this.
If the idiot lord is smart enough (for family’s sake at least), he’ll take it with a grain of salt along with his current humiliation with Blue. I hope Guano goes thru some character development growth in this dilemma; haven’t got to see much change in him since the beginning (except with his backstory with Rouyaa).
I can see this going in one of two direction even with the Blue Djinn putting him down and even putting a choker chain around Guano neck even.
1. He will grudging accept Kazom help and humble himself before Kazom. I don’t see that happening, because Guano both a fool and a idiot and it goes against his pride. He may get Kazom help and he may be forced to accept it, but, he not going to like it.
2. He comes completely unglued because, he had to have Kazom come to his rescue and start accusing every one around, because he the Great Guano.
Because, of who Guano is, he will probably do the second one, but, he will probably should do first one. That may guess.
Kazom either had a really bad night, or judging from that lil flame on his ear, a really GOOD one~
Perhaps ‘genie bottles’ are just convenient, human-scale handles for a pocket universe, so stuff inside is the same size as outside ??
Most likely. Easier solution than actually shrinking anything.

I assume she was just screaming about being haunted by a ton of genie ghosts.
And she clearly hasn’t learned that, when your battery is low, you’re better off texting…
To be fair, that’s entirely reasonable for a brand new cellphone user.
