Due to recent revelations by someone, we’re having some… technical trouble with the comics.
Hopefully we will have it resolved by Thursday.
It wasn’t me, I swear! :p
Hope everything is ok, CD. I still owe you for all your help last year so if you need anything let me know.
There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. We control the vertical, and the horizontal. For the next two days, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear.
You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to – The Jeanie Limits.
No no, tomorrow is Twilight Zone day. That bottle up ahead, and the blonde dimwit on the side of the road… you have now entered The Jeanie Zone.
“We control the vertical, and the horizontal.” Is that a low-key reference to the Archie Sonic Comic characters VertiCal and HorizontAl :D? http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/archiesonic/images/6/64/AlCalMad.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20111219025650
Just my luck, I gotta go out of town and away from my computers for a few days.
Yujo: Actually, it’s a reference to the TV series, The Outer Limits. Much like The Twilight Zone, it was a suspense/horror series, and rarely had interconnected stories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I7vPbthvWo
I hope you’re talking about Rodge and not any of your readers, please?
God damn it, Rodge! (Parody of “God damn it Ross” by Game Grumps)
Wow, a wild Game Grumps reference! Where’s my Master Ball?
Damnit, I gave it to Jon, and he never gave it back before leaving! “Jacques finds it comfortable”, he says. Bah!
HAHA
Sup
Holy Yowza. O_O
Reminds me of those hideous 90s websites.
Ah yes, back when everybody who could comprehend two lines of HTML thought that they were web designers.
Haha, I totally did that when I was a kid. Wrote a horrifically amateurish Sailor Moon fansite in pure HTML. On Geocities! I thought I was so clever.
Nowadays, even people who CANT comprehend two lines of HTML thinks that.
Someone’s getting neuralized
Oh! I get it! You have to focus on the middle of the screen, then relax your eyes…
It’s a sailboat!
Oh, it’s a schooner!
A Greek fishing boat. :p
All your bases am belong to us!
Whoa, a second esoteric internet reference in the same comic’s comments? What are the odds!
I friggin’ loved All Your Base. That was basically the first ever “internet meme”, and I had a blast with it. I can still hum the tune to that song…
Well, there’s definitely writing in the main comic box, but I can’t for the life of me read it.
So far I think it is saying:
“We are experiencing technical difficulties.”
And now my eyes hurt too much.
It’s giving me a headache.
Don’t worry, just come back in 24 hours, and all should be back to normal. Assuming Katy doesn’t screw something up behind the scenes. Again…
My eyes hurt… I haven’t seen this image since the 60’s.
Figured out how to read it. Spoiler free: Initials are WAETD. Should I post spoilers or wait?
Whoa, even I didn’t know about that secret message! And it’s super tough to suss out of that noise, too! Props for figuring it out.
Don’t worry, I know what Thursday’s page is, so I can confirm that this message isn’t a spoiler.
It’s much better readable if you change opacity of all layers to something below 100% (in RGB mode). The noise sort of cancel itself out.
Hehehehe!
I got nothin’.
what message? I don’t see anything, I don’t HEAR anything.
It’s along the bottom of the image that’s inside the regular comic box. It’s very subtle and hard to see.
It’s a gif image. You can right click and save it for viewing in a graphic editor. Pause it where it seems clearest and play with contrast and brightness until it shows. It is very subtle.
Copyright police finally catch up with you?
Tsk, someone can’t handle a little crack in the fourth wall.
W007! TWZ crossover! (Nice announcement, Robert. I’m surprised no one has commented on it yet.)
Don’t read too much into what I said. I was just making a fun reference.
Besides, what I said is actually from The Outer Limits. 🙂
Doh! How in the world did I mess that up? (Although I do live in Binghamton, home of Rod Serling, so I do tend to have TZ on the brain.)
What the hell is TWZ?
The Twilight Zone. what else?
Good old fashioned tv static. I’ve missed you.
Kinda scary that the current generation doesn’t know what TV or radio static are, don’t know what a broken record sounds like, will never roll down a window*, get this glazed look in their eyes when you explain the cc: in an email stands for carbon copy, and wonder why the button on the remote is called rewind instead of reverse.
* That actually happened to me. I gave my nephew a ride when we rented a moving truck, and he spent a couple minutes looking around before telling me “You can’t open the windows of this truck!” He’d been looking for a button or switch, and had no idea what the funny handle thing was.
I guess our grandparents felt the same way about “letting off some steam” when that newfangled diesel locomotive replaced the steam engine.
I didn’t do it! And even if I did, nobody saw me. And if anybody did see me, I was in disguise. And if you think you’ve seen me somewhere before, I was never there!
WE ARE EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
They live. We sleep.
Dang it, Rodge! Why did you break the 4th wall!?
Rodge’s thoughts during the last comic: “You know… I might break something by revealing this… aw hell; LEEEEERRROOOOOYYYYY JEEEENNNNKKKII—-” *Static*
Okay, I really only did that so that Robert would be facing a third internet reference… I’ll just leave now.
Hahah, at least I have chicken…
