Well darn, that’s two I messed up.
I fixed the misquotes in IDON parts 2 and 3.

It’s their only hit song, from 1974, but it was, amazingly, the 4th hit for the lead singer, Tony Burrows, who had also struck it big with Love Grows with Edison Lighthouse, My Baby Loves Lovin with White Plains, and Gimme Dat Ding with The Brotherhood of Man. I believe he holds the record for the most one-hit singles by one singer with different groups.
Funny that this video is of the German tv-show ‘disco’ and not an US one.
I used to watch it in my youth, although a few years later.
(Also the singer seems to have been a ZZ Top fan before they really hit the charts.)
I actually had a little internet acquaintance with the late Dr. Pournelle for awhile. He read a fanfic set in the universe The Gripping Hand is set in, and told me I had guessed some important points about how he was planning to extend the saga. Also some of his really out-there political views which were further right than Trump’s; those I won’t share with you. Anyway, Pournelle never got around to finishing Spartan Hegemony before Death, the ultimate editor, edited him out.
The Gripping Hand… Remembering that novel just brought a mote to my eye.
A very nice story! I’m wondering about Natalie’s response. I thought she was single in the Real Life timeline (if that makes sense).
Well, Neil is still single. Natalie is a different person in this timeline.
Natalie is doing quite well for herself, next up she will be a mother and have two wonderful children that she will name Luke and Lea, and then on the very day when little Lea are staring in her first school play, Jeanie comes back, and then as she goes back again everything gets erased.

That is the most fanciable things now a days, but what Natalie didn’t know was that she was a month pregnant with what would have been the twins Han and Hana (and yes they were both big star wars fans)
Please no, she deserves a happy ending

This story is turning out to be absolutely awesome. And Natalie’s life is turning out to be pretty good too. I hope this story continue on for a long time.
I love the way that the radio station WKRP was slipped in. I haven’t seen WKRP in Cincinnati in years but it was an awesome TV series.
