Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
I stand by my earlier statement Jeanie is into at least one guy she’s just still in denial over it. I base this on the fact while she is concious and aware she say’s EWwwww at the thought but while still asleep she teleports too and snuggles up to Neil happily as well as the fact when not thinking about it she brings him lunch and other girl/boyfriendly actions.
Rodge being the hot friend could bring Jean into contact with Caley for the first time (it was established back in Part 238 Jean didn’t even know about Caley until then.) And it could also bring her into contact with Araceli again. Would Jean go along? Well, Jean hasn’t put Belle on a stripper pole like he has Niel (although I wouldn’t bet against the guy we saw kissing Belle getting some pole time), so he just might want to break up Belle and What’s-His-Name in a way that won’t blow his/her cover and turn Jean into Belle’s lab rat and doctoral thesis subject. Not necessarily the smartest thing for Jean to do, but Jean hasn’t done a whole lot of smart things so far, and those green eyes of jealousy might make him even more thoughtless.
Speaking of the Green-Eyed Monster, Caley is going to be jealous of Jean when she learns that Jean lives with Neil. And now that Caley has a genie of her own who also has reason to be jealous of Jean…
I love the comic so I don’t like to be critical, but … butt. I mistook the chair back in the second panel for Jean’s rear end. I thought she was leaning on a counter / table. It took me a minute to “get it” visually. Having noticed that, the chair backs in the last panel don’t seem to match the earlier panels.
Positive end note: love the blurry shadow effect in the first panel. Very cool.
Guess Jean isn’t too happy that his girlfriend, or ex-girlfriend, moved on so easily.
Though really, this could have been avoided had he told her the truth earlier.
They are eating at the food court, in the mall? at Subbay? Subbay sammiches.
Anyone want to bet against the “hot friend” turning out to be Rodge?
>raises hand<
Rodge has reddish brown hair.
I don’t know, after that Eww, i think Belle will realize that Jean isn’t into guys.
Of course then she’ll just set Jean up with girls.
Btw, is this the first time Jean is finding out Belle is dating again?

Yup, plus the genie/master influence. She’s held out pretty well, but it’s beginning to get her in trouble.
Without the first panel, it looks like Jeannie is studying Belle, not brooding.

How much time has passed in the comic now since the beginning? Boy Jean not calling Bell probably caused her to move on.
I was really hoping Jean would never try to become friends with his ex.

Of course with a new story, you leave Araceli and Lord Guano (and us) in the lurch…
Who is this girl again?
Jean’s girlfriend back when he was a guy. She must have been saint to have put up with the idiot…
And there goes the “I’m (technically) a lesbian” flag. Wonder how red will react.
If Jean is lucky Belle will be bi-curious.
Did anyone notice that in the top left corner of the 3rd panel it literally says “DIES”?
