Oh, yes! This is the theater that Araceli trashed with Neil was here with her during there night out at the movies.
Even though it’s against Da Rules I get the feeling Araceli may have done a “I wish you knew how I feel” poof which explains why Neil is Natalie, why she feels that way, and why they are at the theatre.
Nice reversal, here. In IDoJB #141, Neil was in the other seat. I like it.

This reminded me of the 1971 issue of Superman, where Lois Lane first spent the night in Clark Kent’s apartment. They showed THAT from the point of view of behind the couch Lois and Clark were sitting — and doing other things — on.
First you saw them talk. Then you saw them kiss. Then you just saw the back of the couch. And in the next scene (on the next page), Lois was alone in Clark’s office, singing “I Feel Pretty” and plunking a single rose into a vase on his desk.
I wonder what Neil will be doing n the next strip.

To me it looks like Natalie is about to rape Rodge, if he dosn’t willingly starts to satisfy her.
I don’t think she has that kind of evil in her character.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not really happy with this version of Natalie. If she had developed those feelings naturally, over time, that’s one thing … but this is like a complete new personality taking over. The “effective identity death” (we know Neil’s semi-fine when Rodge isn’t around or on the mind, so it’s not quite the same) that’s prevalent in a lot of transformation fiction is a major downer.
Your right, this isn”t the regular Neil or the regular Neil that turned into Natalie either. This last time that Neil was turned into Natalie, beside being turned into Natalie, we also get an impression that was also an out side force that changed Natalie nature into the one we see now. In other words, somebody else is controlling or directing Natalie behavior and it not what Natalie would act like if it was left to the way that Neil/Natalie would choose to act like.
I’m not happy with it either, for the reason you give. It seems Roger’s not happy either. I’m very much against the idea that they should get jiggy, because I think Neil would be extremely displeased when he regains control.
Roge gets points for putting her off so far, but he seems not to understand just how forcefully Natalie is being pushed. he needs to directly address that.
Indeed. I dont know if people have forgotten that a former time Neil was Natified he showed up on Rodges doorstep in lingerie (285-287). To which Rodges response was: “its seems like Jeannie wants us to sleep together.. and Im down with that” to which Natalie shot him down with by rather sleeping on the couch thankyouverymuch.
If it goes too far, when Natalie is turned back into Neil and remembers what happened…
Especially if she gets switched back while they’re right in the middle of doing the whoop-de-do…

@Fearless: I’d think it would be worse, if she DID get switched back while pregnant; can you imagine Neil having to try to conceal a baby bump, and having to explain to his boss why he needs maternity leave?

Yes, they did, for three daycare centers in Florida — Snopes entry — and then Universal Studios and Hanna-Barbera offered their characters for replacing the murals and held a ceremony showcasing the newly-redecorated daycare centers.
Disney is super protective of their copyrights–in fact the 1998 Copyright Term Extension Act is known as the Micky Mouse Protection Act. it seems that every time Disney’s copyrights are about to expire, somehow or another the term, described in the Constitution as “a limited time”, gets extended.
It’s particularly odd, considering that so many of their properties are from public domain sources. Hm.

Hey, I just realized that we have a vague indication of how long it’s been since Jean became Jeanie: A few months ago. Araceli came to sub for Jeanie for her training day with Melvin and Kazom, and that wasn’t very long after Jean activated Rouyah’s empty bottle. I’m guessing that was in the spring since football season seems to have begun.
Yeah, it’s definitely been no more than half a year since the beginning of the comic. Maybe even less than 4 months.
Jean has been Jeanie only half a year? I assumed that it was more than a year or two. If Jeanie’s growing female personality has become that strong in only 6 months, in a year or two the original Jean personality will have faded. After a year or two Jeannie will be into flower arranging, the latest fashions and interior decoration.
I think you might be confusing Neil & Jean. The brunette is Neil, AKA Natalie. Jean is the blonde with the snotty attitude and the harem outfit.
You have to remember there is there time and our time.
Our time this series has been going on for over 5 years.
There time, Jeanie only been a Genie for about 4 to 6 months.
I am thinking is probably closer to 6 months, because of all the things that have happened. But, yes, 6 months or less that Jeanie been a Genie.
To be fair though Jeannie is becoming more feminine as time passes (only natural really given she is a girl physically her mind and emotions would shift to match slowly). I doubt she’ll ever be a stereotypical girly, girl but it seems obvious she is going to become a girl rather than a guy in a girls body. Even discounting things like her sleep deprived decision to sleep with Neil so she could compare his technique with her old one.
There still a lot of Jean in Jeannie, but, yes, she is becoming Jeannie and not just Jean or a man in a girls body. Jeannie will be in a girls body for hundred or even thousand of years and yes after that time in Jeannie body, Jeannie will be Jeannie and no longer Jean in Jeannie’s body. That goes without saying. But, right now she is still mostly Jean in Jeannie body, however a slightly feminized version of Jean in Jeannie’s body, but, the old man is starting to slip away and is being replace by a female copy of himself or herself.

@Rock: I dunno about not going there – I think she’s already letting her fingers do the walking. And a few other things.
Previously, Natalie has been Neil in a girl suit. But now, either Natalie is more independent, or she is being controlled or influenced by some outside entity.
As far as Neil himself is observing events, he might well be horrified by this occurence, and very likely would be if he ever reappears.
@Kattgirl: “fingers do the walking”. Very likely yes, although possibly still through the cloth of Rodger’s pants. (We have not seen a “zip” soundeffect.) But beyond that…All I can say is, there’s a great many things I am willing to touch that I would not want to kiss.
Ironically, the one time Roger wasn’t trying to seduce Natalie, she’s all over him…How long will it be before he either acquiesces or figures out that something is wrong? @_@

Oh, you mean Araceli, she already a semi major character in this series. She play the protagonist to Jeannie and is interested in Neil and would like him to be her master and such. But, some times she even try’s to help Jeannie occasionally, but, not very often. There kind of some Genie rivalry there too.
To answer your question, Yes we will see her from time to time when it advances the story along.

No, not Araceli (she has blueish hair). One of the panes has Jeanie talking (yelling?) to Araceli and the black haired genie is behind them.

You mean the panels in the regular comic? Those are actually a little bigger than before. We used to display the comic at 900px wide, but a while back I decided to start saving the comic images at 1800px wide, instead. Now, we display the comic on the page at 1090px wide, and you can click the image to bring it up at the full 1800px.
