Chapter: Story 06: I Dream of a B-Witch
Sorry for the delay, folks… but I think you’ll like this new story!
Sorry for the delay, folks… but I think you’ll like this new story!
So, Jeanie Bottle has now been Bewitched?
Hey, you’re the captain here, I’m just along for the ride. Make it fun and I’m happy. 🙂
Well this is certainly an interesting twist
Don’t you mean twitch? (of the nose, that is) But then, which twitch is the witch’s twitch?
I see what you did there…
What are you Darrin to do here?
Oh, it’s so on. Let the battle for magical supremacy of Coco Beach commence! It’s Witches vs. Djinn in the PPV Event of the season. (Just $59.99. $64.99 in HD, to pay for the extra lines of resolution.)
Looking to solve one of the timeless questions of our society?
Samantha’s mother calling him by the same name she does? That can’t be right.
Crossover… I dream of Bewitched.
Wait a minute!!!!… Since when did that many hills exist in Florida….?
There Small hills.
Still too big.
Clearly, a landscaper gained magical powers and decided that Florida needed some majestic rolling hills. So he/she poofed them.
They are sand dunes.
My last venture into Florida was all flat, unless it was a towering freeway interchange or a Disney Park.
However, I attribute this to artistic license; because it looks good.
But I did, on reflection, realize that they are driving on the wrong side of the road.
Maybe we’re only seeing one of the directions on a split-lane highway? Which is, itself, split in two… for some reason.
Well, if you want some hand-waving explanation, HOV lanes are sometimes separated from the regular lanes going in the same direction. But, then the trucks would be on the other side . . . let’s just not speak of this . . . 😉
The road /was/ flat. Then, sinkholes happened.
The Epic Confrontation!
I am sitting on the sofa, there’s a TV in the corner
I am watching Major Nelson, he is played by Larry Hagman (Jeannie!)
And he found a little bottle, and out popped Barbara Eden
But she couldn’t show her belly button, all she did was blink
(Dr. Bellows: Uh, Good Evening Major Nelson)
Tony Nelson works at NASA with suspicious Dr. Bellows
And there’s also Roger Healy, who would become Howard Borden (Jeannie!)
And Jeannie always means well, but they get in wacky trouble
She folds her arms and blinks her eyes, it’s kind of like Bewitched
(Jeannie!)
(Jeannie! Jeannie!)
(Yes, master!)
Oh the reruns will continue on the TV as I’m watching
The pink smoke of her bottle
I am dreaming of Jeannie
(Jeannie!)
(On YouTube as Jeannie’s Diner)
Ah, the memories of Nick-at-Nite!
What did she turn Derick into?
My guess is a surfboard.
Whenever there were other witches around, normals usually ended up frozen, unaware of the passage of time. So technically, he is inanimate but not as a surf board. She just swapped places with him. When she leaves, she should forget to put him back in the front seat and he’ll be all annoyed that his mother-in-law poof’d in and messed with him.
I like the idea that she’s poofed him into something inanimate, but I think she just swapped places with him.
Unfortunately, it’s not easy to tell
When you see the first panel, there is NO surfboard in the back seat. In the 6th page, there is a surfboard.
No, that’s not a surfboard, that’s just Derick. His shirt is light blue and visible above the windshield while his pants are dark blue. If you look just next to Sam’s eye there is a line dividing his legs. It’s just him basically in the same location as Endora was and we can’t see his shoulders and head.
I think Derrick needs to get his hands on Araceli’s bottle. That would even the odds with his mother in law.
So, after half a year of waiting, mine eyes now see Samantha in the actual comic.
That mother-in-law would be a witch even without the magic.
Well, I’m OK with the idea of Jeanie vs. Samantha. But, Endora always had a bit more style than to wear a yellow tank top. Geek fanboy speculation is that Samantha is smarter than Jeanie and therefore probably wins in a contest. And, I’d bet on Endora in a match with Guano any day.
Now, if Uncle Arthur shows up, it would be most appropriate.
Always wanted to do a mashup of sixties classics myself, but didn’t include Bewitched, and Jeannie was only there to set things up. Was gonna have the ship from Lost in Space crash on Gilligan’s Island while the Clampetts were there visiting. Lots of interesting pairing possibilities:
Jed takes off with old Duke to do a little whittlin’ and get out from under all the ruckus, and is met by Maureen Robinson who admires that fine old hound and confesses that she too once had a really good dog, a collie.
The Professor could try to make adjustments to the Jupiter 2’s robot.
And then there’s Mr Howell and Miss Hathaway, who could hold an entire conversation without either one ever unclenching their jaw.
Gilligan, Jethro and Dr Smith might each screw things up in such a way that their combined ineptitude completely cancels each other out.
I remember there was a poll on nick at night on weather Jeanie or Samantha was more powerful. That one came out in Samantha’s favor because she’s smarter.
Thinking back over Bewitched, I realize that they are not witches, they are gods. They have limitless powers, live in an undefined place of clouds, are capricious, and in other ways act much like the gods of mythology.
At least they aren’t teenagers.
Interesting.
I could have sworn that in the show his name was Darrin, and Endora just called him Derick and other wrong names that started with “D” to annoy him.
You are correct. She used many different “D” names but Derick and Derwood were pretty frequent.
I would like to see Samatha take on Araceli that would be really something.
Now we wait for hilarity to commence in future pages.
Muhahah-
*coughing*
Note to self: don’t laugh manniacly with a sore throat.
I think we could use an updated cast list.
Of course, let’s move on to the parody of the cross-over we all wanted to see…
I’ve read several fanfics where Jeanie and Samantha encounter each other. Except for one story it usually turns into a magical battle between the two.
Ever read the 31 issue comic book series Strikeforce Morituri and it’s 5 issue follow up Electric Undertow?
