A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
This scene remind me of the screw ball movies of the 1980’,like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure , so what long hair heavy metal band would you have for this comic?
Natalie really is cute, Jeannie has good taste. Shame Neil is wasting his time during the days explaining stuff she’ll have to explain that night (while giving Roger the wrong idea) as opposed to doing his own work to win the contest.
Well,if he don’t explain that during the days, his boss will think that he isn’t teaching Roger.
And as his boss said pages ago,if Neil don’t teach Roger, than both of them will be fired. So,he have to teach Roger at day time(Which no matter how hard he try, just not working)
,than teach again as Natalie during the night time(Which even she is just talking the concent,Roger will figue out the whole point and detail of the stuff by himself).
Neil should just focus on getting work done during the day as he knows it is just a waste of time. Will not take long burning the candle at both ends for poor Neil to flip out from stress. Should have just asked to make the dolt more intelligent.
I don’t think intelligence is te problem, he seems quite able to grasp what Natalies saying and he did get his qualifications. It’s focus thats the issue
I have it Neil should wish that everyone in his company turns into a cute girl while at work unless they come to enjoy it in which case they remain that way permanently that will get roger to focus.
Possibly he is one of those people who can interview extremely well, but is a bit rubbish at the actual work. I used to work with a person who was like that and was in no way me, honest guv. She was always brushing up interview skills, learning industry buzzwords, researching the Human Resources managers of various companies, all so she could give an A+1 quality interview. It was exhausting doing all that and left no time to actually learn how to do the job….[cough]or so she told me anyway.
Notice in 2 out of the 3 panels, Rodge is looking at Natalie’s breasts. And in the third one, he’d probably still be if they weren’t completely covered by whatever she’s holding.
I saw that too. Also the third outfit doesn’t show as much cleavage. Makes me wonder if that was a request from Neil as there is a point where it could be more distracting than helpful.
True but is that tampering with free will? Making Roger focus and work hard would be but given him the principles isn’t changing his behaviour at all. Of course he’d still be awful at the job because its his focus that is at fault as evidenced by him needing his regular Natalie doses to keep him on the job.
Senko, yes it is. If Rodge wished for to just know, that would be his own will; but if Neil wishes for Rodge to know, it might jumble some fundamental preconceptions of Rodge’s (though in this case it probably won’t). It would literally change his mind, and would he still be Rodge then? (Unlike Jean, Neil has read the manual.)
Tampering with other people’s minds without their knowledge or consent is black magic that is restricted to marketing psychologists.
The eyes in this comic are very important. With Neil, Rodge is looking away and cross-eyes. With Nat, he’s looking at her chest twice and then they are both looking into each others eyes.
Man, I’m stuck unemployed because of all the engineers out of work, and here’s Rodge taking an engineering job without knowing anything about engineering.
Ya know, despite being a brunette, Neil/Natalie seems to be much more the dumb blond stereotype. Seriously, how is he not able to understand that Roger isn’t so much interested in engineering but Natalie herself. I see some serious awkward moments in Neils future unless he, at least, starts putting up boundaries with Roger.
I think the spell which turns Neil into Natalie does NOT give him a female mind. Or else she would already be picking up the signs that he is more into her then the information she is giving.
Or maybe she is starting to see it, thus the reason for the “star trek uniform” shirt.
Or maybe Jeanie was watching a rerun on TV before the switch?
I wouldn’t call that “dumb”, in fact the smartest of folks will miss out on just that sort of thing. It’s all about where one’s brain cells are focused.
No one person can be good at everything. Not without seriously expanding the size of our skulls.
I guess that I wasn’t clear. Neil and Natalie have the same expression in panel 1. Neil and Natalie have the same expression in panel 2. And Neil and NAtalie have the same expression in panel.
what is she holding at the end?
I think its just a rolled up sheet of paper but Rodger is grabbing her hand.
It’s the same book or whatever Neal’s holding in the upper picture.
This scene remind me of the screw ball movies of the 1980’,like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure , so what long hair heavy metal band would you have for this comic?
And party on dud’s.

No tampering with other people’s minds. It’s in Da Rule’s (sic).
Not allowed to tamper with their will. Changing their perception should still be on the table as long as it is not too much.
Natalie in white, with tied back hair is so ridiculously cute! Love this page!
Yep.
Roger needs a pair of virtual reality glasses that makes everyone look like a beautiful woman.
Or magic beer goggles.
I’m trying to figure out how Rodge got the job in the first place if he doesn’t understand engineering principles!
Possibly he is one of those people who can interview extremely well, but is a bit rubbish at the actual work. I used to work with a person who was like that and was in no way me, honest guv. Are they at a diner, a coffeehouse or a bar?
I see a coffee machine and bar stools.
Roger may want to take their relationship to the next level.
So what happens when the time finally comes Neil feels Natalie is no longer needed? …
What happens when Natalie feels that Neil is no longer needed?
I don’t get how a girl makes you FOCUS more instead of distract you… oh yeah… plot development. 😛
man natalie is so cute in those panels :3
Neillie sure is a looker.
Why in the last panel is Natalie dressed in a Star Trek TNG uniform? Or am I seeing things?
Looks a lot like one, don’t it? Just with a wacky color scheme… Stupid Federation, always changing their uniforms.
Neil and Gene? Jean? Are nerds, I think. Perhaps subconsciously or overtly Jean made Natalie look a bit like Deanna Troi.
Would it not be easier for everyone if Neil got Jean to blink the engineering principles into Rodge’s head?
“You can’t tamper people’s free will.”This is the very first law of magic or “god power”(<–Jim Carry fan here).
True but is that tampering with free will? Making Roger focus and work hard would be but given him the principles isn’t changing his behaviour at all. Of course he’d still be awful at the job because its his focus that is at fault as evidenced by him needing his regular Natalie doses to keep him on the job.

Tampering with other people’s minds without their knowledge or consent is black magic that is restricted to marketing psychologists.
The obvious solution is to give Rodge a pair of his own breasts to ogle at.
That proposal has my support.
See my comment above about giving everyone at Neil and Roger’s work place their own set.
The eyes in this comic are very important. With Neil, Rodge is looking away and cross-eyes. With Nat, he’s looking at her chest twice and then they are both looking into each others eyes.
Wish the idiot had more focus. It’s logical. It’s not technically against free will.
Do you really want to see a Roger more focused on winning Natalie’s affection.
Well, perhaps yes. I think it’d be funny if Natalie, Jeannie, Roger, AND Neil end up going to Vegas together.
How did Rodge even get that job?
Man, I’m stuck unemployed because of all the engineers out of work, and here’s Rodge taking an engineering job without knowing anything about engineering.

…where do you get the idea he doesn’t realize it? But if it gets him to follow along, it gets him to follow along.
I wouldn’t call that “dumb”, in fact the smartest of folks will miss out on just that sort of thing. It’s all about where one’s brain cells are focused.
No one person can be good at everything. Not without seriously expanding the size of our skulls.
This is going to end with Natalie getting Neil’s job.
Looks like it was just a question about learning curve(s)…
Is Neil Jewish? He kinda looks Jewish.
Not a chance, Neil/Natalie, is teaching Roger on a Saturday.
If Neil’s Jewish then he’s circumcised it’s part of their faith the result of a agreement between God and Abraham made 1000’s of years ago.
And how do you know he isnt, did I miss a bonus comic somewhere?
Did anybody else notice that Neil and Natalie have the same expression on their facts in all three panel?
No the different positioning of the eyes give it different emotional aspects. For instance Neil seems angrier in the third panel than the first two
I guess that I wasn’t clear. Neil and Natalie have the same expression in panel 1. Neil and Natalie have the same expression in panel 2. And Neil and NAtalie have the same expression in panel.
No you where I was just saying i missed that because the eyes change how that expression looks even though its the same.
