Assuming her totem translates his language to hers. It’s like knowing a train wreck is coming and having no way to influence it what so ever. While Jean does have a life to get back, the poor guy’s wishes are gonna be twisted so badly to her advantage to make even the worst jackass genie cringe.
That’s because Jean won’t bother with rules until Guano shows up and forces the issue. Heck I’ll be impressed if the first *poof* isn’t one of 1. making the poor fisherman mute so he can’t make any wishes at all 2. sending him to a strip bar as a woman just for the continuity 3. going back to neil’s apartment.
“what is this thing” is what i got when i tried finding a translation. Im guessing the ship jeanie was in was an old phoenician vessal or maybe a byzantinian trading vessel. So araceli was probably down there for a good millennia or three.
It is a real place. It’s the part of the mediterranean sea, that is situated between the southern tip of Italy and then Greek mainland.

And like most people that are not sure what a bottle contains, he gives it a good shake while listening to it…. :^P
Oh, yeah. Jean’s gonna get a real Master now. I seriously doubt that he will have any hesitation about his wishes.
The question is, how will she play him?

Also her dialect was more modern than classical Attic…
Ta Ellhnika moy einai den einai kala
Δεν πειράζει, αρκεί να προσπαθείς. Έτσι κι αλλιώς η προσπάθεια είναι που μετράει.
But copying and pasting from random webpages (what I did) isn’t even trying.
I tried translating what the sailor said and… nothing.
Never mind. I just saw Hippo’s comment.

Hmm… why is their speech, unlike Araceli’s, rendered in Roman letters?
