Jeanie Bottle 291
A little inside joke for MIT and Caltech.
The funny thing is, these T-shirts actually exist.
See, Caltech–MIT rivalry on Wikipedia for details.
(Also keep an Eye our for Cannon References, as it relates to this and the previous comic)
All that noise. I’d say she had some Navy/Army training. Thanks to those two services I can sleep through most anything and only wake up to specific noises. Noises like Man Overboard, General Quarters, and Under Attack sirens.
Hmmm, it looks like Natalie is no longer wearing her negligee under that t-shirt. Too bad.
Why do you say that? That shirt is covering up everything guy her neck. The only thing I can infer from that is that she removed the choker.
I’m betting whatever is under that t-shirt is just fine.
Cannon references? You mean we might get a cameo of Cannon from The Heroes of C.R.A.S.H. soon?
Nah, it’s another Caltech reference.
Oh, rats – and I was hoping the cannon was the beginning of a crossover into an “F Troop” parody… “Before they resume with a bang and a boom…”
Can you imagine Jeanie (or Natalie) cast in the role of “Wrangler Jane” (Melody Patterson) ??? Woo-hoo !!!
I used to have a shirt with the MIT logo … and under it, it said “The Georgia Tech of the North”.
Hah hah. I went to Harvey Mudd a year after they stole the Caltech cannon. And was at MIT when they stole it too.
Hope it’s obvious, but I meant that as “thanks for the laugh”. Re-reading it, it sounds like I’m bragging or something.
Perhaps “haha” would be better than “hah hah” in this case. Sounds more like natural laughter than semi-sarcastic chuckling.
Still, glad to see someone get the cannon reference. 🙂
I had to look up the wikipage of Caltech to get the cannon reference. (Mostly because I live on the other side of the Atlantic) And yes, I guess Caltech is missing it again.
Oh, and I studied at TUD.
Natalie’s MIT, though, stands for Maiden In Training.
hehe!
Points!…Points!
There’s the story of the pilots who were stationed at an American Army base in Germany during the Berlin Airlift. Every morning they fired off a cannon to mark reveille at 6:00 AM. The pilots, already working a hard and long shift flying into Berlin, politely asked that they not fire the cannon and disturb their sleep. After getting a refuasl, one night a bunch of them went out, swiped the cannon, and raised it up with ropes to the top of a four-story building.
The army eventually brought it back down, but stopped firing it off for the duration…
Might want to look up the story “Johnnie Cope in the Morning” by George MacDonald (“Flashman”) Fraser, contained in the book The Complete McAuslan, a collection of stories based on Fraser’s experiences as a subaltern in a Highland Regiment in Egypt just after WW2. It’s the story of the running battle between the junior officers and the pipe band and the JO’s Final Solution.
How did Natalie get that shirt? And why would Roger have one that’s cut for a female?
I think Natalie would fill out anything she wore, but your right it is a long sleep style shirt for women. He probably kept it a round just in case one happened to stay the night.
There always the possibility ended up with the shirt when he use to go to college and he kept in for nostalgia sake or remembrance when he use to go to college at.
Bet he doesn’t wash robe or shirt ever again
Some other possibilities:
(1) Rodge actually had a g/f stay over, but she left in a hurry, and between changing her cell number and booking a one-way flight to Ecuador, she didn’t have time (or desire) to go back for that shirt.
(2) Rodge bought it as a gift for a woman who wouldn’t accept it. Kept it hoping someday she would.
(3) Bought it at a flea market–do you really think a doofus like Rodge would get in at either college?
How else would he have gotten his engineering degree?
Nevermind, I get what you meant now. “Either”, not “any”. Sorry, carry on.
Is the cannon canon?
(Sorry.)
I see that CD Rudd Didn’t miss the obvious on this one. Love it.
…so what was the point of waking her up?
(1) It’s funny.
(2) It’s similar Jeannie did to Major Nelson’s mother when she visited. Didn’t you click on that YouTube link?
This T-shirt I wore many-many moon ago. We eat, sleep, ride, talk, breathe, dream, live, and love motorcycle. I think there is one in Natalie size.
The biggest suspension of belief is that this idiot went to MIT. I didn’t get in, and I got nearly a perfect SAT score. Not as close to perfect as Bill Gates, but almost.

Hey webmaster? This is a spambot trying to sell stuff to your naturally vast market of non-English speaking Japanese readers! >_> No one every said spambots were intelligent.
Feel free to delete it (and this comment too.)
…That T-shirt really makes a better advertisement for CalTech than MIT doesn’t it?
