Jeanie

Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office. On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.

That woman is the woman with the long braid who confronted Jeanie along with Debbie Brookshields and Liza the night before. Debbie looks like she’s laughing.

It’s one on the “hussies”. Maybe they want to blackmail Rodge.
But according to this – https://jeaniebottle.com/?page_id=1821
“Genies are unable to be photographed or filmed.”

Yes, according to IDOJ–but that was in the age when photos and movies were actually shot on film. The original Jennie didn’t have any problem with mirrors. Maybe she won’t have any problems showing up on digitally-recorded images or stills–such as security cameras.

If she does, then this anomally should have been picked up by the camera which was undoubtedly recording the interrogation Agent Anderson was giving Natalie before Jean and Rodge and “MacGyver” showed up to rescue him.

And I still say the actor is supposed to be Shatner. Agent Anderson’s partner refers to “an old sci fi show” which MacGyver wasn’t, and makes a remark about “Captain Kirk” taking away Anderson’s suspect.

Tom Sewell: From the “Laws of the Grest Djinn” page:

“Though some of these rules are not always followed in their source material, they are the guiding rules for the I Dream of a Jeanie Bottle comic series.”

So, yeah: Jeanie cannot be photographed, or, I suspect, imaged.

I wonder why not? Could it be because genies are spiritual rather than physical beings? That there is, in fact, nothing there to photograph?

That their interactions with humans is entirely in the mind of the humans themselves?

Yes, it’s true: Jean no longer exists.

Tom Sewell. The reference to the old Sci-Fi show I believe was literal as it was an old show on the Sci-Fi channel before they changed their name to Syfy. They were referring to the character Richard Dean Anderson played on Stargate SG-1, Air Force General Jack O’Neal. CD even had him dressed in the uniform he wore on the show.

      • Tom Sewell
        March 14, 2017, 2:26 pm | # | Reply

SaylorA. I haven’t seen a lot of Stargates, but I’m pretty sure the character Richard Dean Stanton was playing wasn’t named “Kirk” and wasn’t a “captain”. Maybe CD wanted to confuse us? Anyway, Shatner is more appropriate because:

        (1) He’s more well-known.
        (2) He’s kind of fat like Neil, the actor shown in Las Vegas in his jammies before he got poofed into the uniform. HDS strikes me as trim, like an extremely annoying old friend of mine who eats like a horse and never gains weight.
        (3) Shatner/Kirk can be very Funny. HDS can’t.
        (4) Shatner is old enough for the older partner of Agent Anderson to really remember him as Captain Kirk.

I just took a look back through the archives and it does list the character as McGyyver, but he is dressed just like he was in Stargate. Anderson is more famous for the character of McGyyver (1985-1994) but he did O’Neill (1997-2010) for four years longer when you count his appearances in Atlantis and Universe. So I disagree that the character was supposed to be Shatner as Kirk.

Way to go, Rodge. You just made it a challenge for Jean to seduce you, a challenge she’s going to do her best to win. That should be fun to see.

You know, Jeanie’s problem here is that she is assuming that since Rodge is in Jean’s form, Rodge will have Jean’s tastes. Thus, she’s choosing the type of girl Jean went for – rich, beautiful heiress types. Rodge apparently prefers the “Mary Ann” type to the “Ginger” type in this case – the “girl next door” so to speak.

However, I am wondering where Rodge’s sudden burst of fidelity came from. Then again, we’ve never seen Rodge in a relationship, kayfabe or otherwise.

    “And I’m still interested in…”

Jeannie is nothing if not consistently over-the-top.

      • 50srefugee
        March 14, 2017, 6:59 am | # | Reply

It’s not that Jeanie’s over the top. It’s that she’s WRONG.

A guy on the make doesn’t need to be told that a gorgeous woman is gorgeous. He can see that.

He needs to be told that the woman finds him attractive. She needs to show interest in him.

Jeanie’s far too self-centered to pull that off adequately.

As a male, self-puffery is a good technique, within reason, but even for a male, what Jeanie’s doing here is way too blatant, way too blunt. “Over the top” doesn’t begin to convey the clumsiness of her approach.

And that unspoken take down of Rodge is terrible man-bait. Jeanie is talking about Rodge, not Jean, to begin with, but most of all, no man can be interested in a woman who isn’t interested in him, who even holds him in contempt.

A scantily dressed girl leaning in your car window at a stop light and saying, “Ten bucks, take it or leave it” is doing a better job of seduction than Jeanie is managing here.

      • 50srefugee
        March 14, 2017, 7:22 am | # | Reply

Doesn’t Jeanie know that, given as hot as she is, that all she has to do is stand around acting innocent and, to be blunt, rather dim, but pleased with the attention, and she will have guys flocking around her?

She needs to be working off the script that she would have found attractive as Jean.

“Gosh, I heard this would be a fun party, but everyone is just standing around talking about books and magazines.”

“I’m new here. Who are are all these people?”

“Wow, everyone here looks so good! But this was the best I could afford on an intern’s salary. Do you think it’s OK?”

“Are you that movie reviewer guy? I really like what you said about that one, um, film, where that girl was, you know, running away or something?…I can’t remember the title…” and then proceeds to gush over the one part of the film that Jean hadn’t liked in the review. “All those explosions? It was like the fireworks in old movies they always play when the guy and girl finally decide to kiss at the end!”

[Knowing what Rodge really does for a living] “I like watching rockets take off, but isn’t that really expensive? I don’t get it. What’s the point?” [Listens attentively.] “I guess I never thought of that. You’re so smart!”

Sweet, innocent, easily led, looking for advice…and a hot bod. No guy on the make could resist.

Knowing how futile Jean’s plans are to seduce Rodge here, I’m more interested seeing in how willing Jean is to have sex with guys now. Especially when Jean is still thinking “herself” as a heterosexual guy on the inside.

“She’s” going to probably have another meltdown when “she” finally discovers this about “herself” or be like Mel Gibson in “What Women Want” in a gender bend, Martian-fluent sex deviant type.

      March 14, 2017, 7:20 am | # | Reply

Jeanie’s failure to consider the endgame of a successful seduction is striking, isn’t it? Especially since she doesn’t really find Rodge to be attractive.

I like broccoli, but isn’t this a breakfast buffet? I’m not sold on broccoli for breakfast, lunch at the earliest. Then again, what do I know; I like butter baked asparagus as a breakfast food. I dislike pushy and intrusive people of all genders and sexes at any meal table though, so I can get behind the cold shoulder here if nothing else.

Presumably just the smallest florets of the broccoli then? I might give that a go tomorrow morning. I’ll need to buy some eggs today though first. Hmm, I wonder if there are any duck eggs for sale in the market? I do like duck egg omelettes. Yes, if they have some then that is a plan for tomorrow’s breakfast.

I gave it a go; I can’t say Broccoli omelettes are for me, but it wasn’t horrible. It just didn’t really add anything to the omelette itself; a little bit of texture perhaps, but that was about it. I tried adding some sauteed asparagus tips to them and that was the business though. HTH

I am hoping that after Jeanie is left alone after Rodge rebuffs her, some handsome guy comes over to offer comfort–successfully and so subtly that she doesn’t realize that she’s being seduced until it’s too late.

Then she becomes guilt ridden for cheating on her Master.

Looks like loud hung over drunk girls friend is getting another unflattering photo of her to shame her with.

The SS Jeans ego has been torpedoed again will she double down or go down crying.
If she losses it i see Roger writing the review and the boss being very happy with it.
She also is a much worse human being that Roger even with his lecherous ways.
Turns out Neil is a better lover than her as well.
Also Her male self is not the ladies man she though she was looks wise.
I would be really surprised if she doesn’t snap totally, because she has not a strong grasp on reality and her delusional world is crumbling.
One last point all this started because she bought a gift for Bell. The gift was something Jean liked. So from page one Jean has been out of touch with what others want.

Now it my turn to give my opinion of Jeanie.

Even when Jeanie was just Jean, she or he was out of thought with reality already and becoming a girl gene only compounded his problem and his view of reality. She or he had a twisted view of who he was when she was a man and was really conceded in thinking the he was a really great man and GOD gift to women kind. And now she trying to act like she GOD gift to mankind and she getting the same results and she doesn’t understand why.

At this point, Jeanie should take a hint and give up what she trying to pull, but, we all know that Jeanie not going to take a hint and stop doing what she doing. She going to pick up the offense of not getting her way and she going to push harder and cause a real problem for herself, because, that Jeanie way and that how she does things.

Let don’t forget that she not interested in guys nor is she interested in having sex with guy and she is definitely not interested in Rodge. Remember that the only thing, is she want to do here, is to prove to those girl that guys sleep around. So she going to take an active roll to seduce a guy so she can prove her point to those girls, but, the very act of seducing a guy to take him to bed to prove her point is something she doesn’t want to do under any circumstances, but, she doing it anyway.

Here is another example of Jeanie not picking which battle that she should fight and which battle she should not fight and what the circumstances will be if she does fight those battle.

This is just another example of Jeanie operating on her emotions and getting emotionally charged up and then just sounding the Bugle Charge with out thinking or having a real plan.

Not big vegetable eaters, are ya?

I’ll sometimes add some diced spinach to my scrambled eggs for a omelette or breakfast quesadilla. Tastes pretty good with some tzatziki sauce or sour cream or shredded cheese. I even love eating cooked broccoli for any meal too. Usually I eat savoury foods over sweet foods unless they’re my favourite treats or fruits.
