And what a great first comment it is! Well worth the wait…
By what I’ve seen in webcomics, and I’ve seen a fair amount, most don’t start garnering comments until 20-30 strips in. It takes that long to start building a reader base, unless the webcomic is referred by another well known property. This webcomic wasn’t meant to be an ongoing project, but rather more of a one-off joke. It got an influx of readers from The Wotch community, however, and gained popularity so quickly that the artist decided to keep it going.
Another thing to consider is that CD started this comic on DeviantArt. So Page 1 on here was never the “current page” for any readers, because when he moved it to this site, there are already a dozen or more pages.
Had to come back to the beginning to see the start, things really took off from here, the latest post was 600 strips

Man, I LOVE that moving gif header! A very stylish nod to the 60s version! Bravo!
(cough) Mind you, there’s a tiny dip in it at the end (or possibly start) of its cycle. You see it shift down a pixel or so.
