Jeanie

Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office. On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.

He’s your Master, Young Genie! If he thinks you need a slap, you say “Thank you Master!”

    Now you need a spanking!

And slappy, don’t forget that. 🙂

I imagine it’s simply the euphoria at returning home when it was previously thought impossible.

It looks like being female is starting to rub off on him.

I don’t think that would happen so quickly naturally. So magic is somehow involved.

The question is whose (or whats) magic?

      January 29, 2013, 11:13 pm | # | Reply

Not necessarily. After all, hugging isn’t an exclusively female thing, it’s just been stigmatized as such. Stigma is probably the last thing on Jean’s mind right now.

First and foremost would be relief, followed by indignation. 😛

Well Jeannie is a nurturing/Mother Genie so laying aside the fact that being treated like the girl he is now (or a slave by genie sociey) will probably shift his behaviour somewhat that’s probably also alterting his personality slowly ESPECIALLY where his master’s concerned.

Let’s see … there’s posts from FPF, Auld Grump … what the hell?!?

I stumble in here on a random link from – hell, I don’t even remember where (might have been Top Comics, not sure). But once inside I find the same group of people … how do I end up following you guys? 😛

Nice comic, BTW, look forward to following this one. ::adds to his weekly reading list::

If I posted my reading list, the comments section would crash, or the page would corrupt. ::snicker:: I keep a running list in an email that sits in my drafts folder – easy to update, and every so often I send it to myself, to make an archive copy I can stash away, then “reply” to it so I start the next one. Eventually I’ll get in the habit of just keeping the doc version in my Google drive up to date.

But there’s also stuff on the list that are private notes to myself, so I couldn’t just copy/paste, would have to edit it.

Let’s see: I have 7 dailies, 48 weeklies, 69 monthlies, and 40 quarterlies – those aren’t how often they are published necessarily, just how often I catch up on them. So 164 on my current list. Plus another 7 on my watchlist that I think have ended but may just be on hiatus, 15 I am pretty sure are on hiatus, 18 that have definitely ended unless the author restarts them. So 204 if you count all those. And not including the 70 comics on my NSFW list that I plan to read eventually but are too risque to do so at work (even on a night shift).

And the overall list is a pretty eclectic range of genres – pretty sure it would interest and disgust (at the same time) any one who looked at all of them. 😀

Oops, forgot the 47 comics on my “new comics” list, those are ones I peeked at, usually from a link on one of the sites I am already reading, and plan to read later. So Make that 214 on the “active” list, 251 overall.

And yes, I try to donate where I can – wanna keep these wonderful artists fed, clothed and housed so they can keep making these awesome comics.

I don’t see why Neil can’t wish for Aracelis bottle to bee on a shelf. Unless that is on the no no list or ask Lord Guano, still can not stop the mental snicker when I thing of his name, if Niel can pick a new master for her. Unless she is on a time out punishment for a transgression. Would have thought Niels nice guy side would have looked for an out for Araceli once he found out about her totems situation.

Not necessary. Before she came back, Jean threatened the sailors into mailing her new bottle to her old address. Araceli will be back as soon as postal services allow.

While that may be true Neil dos not know that it may or may not be happening.A lot of misunderstandings happen because not everyone has the same information.I have a GM with a bad habit of giving NPCs information they should not have or making tactical decisions based on things they have not seen yet. When looking at what a character should do , you can’t base it on what you as the reader know but things they have seen.

So, my speculation involves who will show up first, Araceli or Guano. I’m still thinking Araceli will be in her bottle when the fishermen do as they were told and ship it to Neil. (pure speculation about them being told that) On the other hand, Guano at some point will pop in to check up on Jeanie’s training and find that Kazom has released her. He’ll then show up at Neil’s place to see WTF is going on.

If Guano shows up before Araceli he might just bring her back and send Jeanie off for more training with Kazom, or some other semi-retired genie. The bottle still shows up a few days later, much to Araceli’s relief. If he shows up after Araceli, well, who knows what he’ll find. She’s going to be *pissed* when she gets there and Neil and Jean will have their hands full.

I’m looking forward to this playing out, unless the whole strip takes off in another direction, which is always possible.

I wonder if this mean Araceli is on the fishing boat with the little girl and the female captain?

…and then there’s the high school student turned into a girl without wishing for it, and wanting to be back to being a guy. She needs to get changed back, unless of course, she likes that. But Kazom would be able to fix that soon enough.

What comic does Neil slap Jeannie I don’t remember that. Also Jeanie couldn’t have been stuck in the other bottle long from what I can tell.

A few comics back, when she grants the captain two wishes and then leaves. She’s getting hysterical, Aracai is clinging to Neil, and Neil slapps Jean before she’s pulled back to her bottle.
