Let me see if I have this straight: Neil’s idea of a date is buying a girl a >hot dog<? Jeez, no wonder he has no love life.

P.S. Not that I'm trying to skew any poll results or anything, but I like Araceli 100 times more than I like Jean, and I hope Araceli will be around for a L-O-N-G time in this strip.

Bah, the “she’ll never return” only has 9 votes. I doubt it’ll win out in the end

To be fair, the Polls are necessarily going to decide the outcomes of things. Sometimes they will effect my plot, but I have a general idea what’s going to happen already.

Blue Police box on the lawn? Could happen if the were in Britain.

Finally! Neil steps up and takes charge.

I don’t think his idea of a date is a necessarily taking a girl out for a hot dog, but it seems appropriate in this situation. She doesn’t know what they are and he’s going to introduce her to some of the modern world. Simple stuff first . . .

I haven’t watched the show (since it’s not on TV where I live) but I know a bit about it.

I was actually refering to a real Police Box. I saw one in Britain once.

I can picture an eventual Neil / Araceli / Jean love triangle. Maybe not for a while, but I think it’s probable.

they were making a Dr who joke cause of it being big in the inside and small of the outside not cause of it being strange.

and if it matters the new season takes place in USA.

    anyways hope Araceli sticks around.

The next episode is, “Let’s kill Hitler”.

I have doubts it will take place in the states (more likely Germany). Maybe your thinking of Torchwood, It’s about half threw it’s season and most of the series has taken place in Washington and California so far.

Araceli missed something: the snooping red-head dude now has six fingers on his right hand!

Opps, my bad, I’ll have to fix that…

I had to re-draw this page 3 times since my program kept crashing while saving it and corrupting previously saved versions.

Love the Dr. Who reference in this one. XD

Wonder what Araceli would do with the freedom that Neil just gave her? XD

Araceli has been in her bottle how long? A hot dog might seem very exotic cuisine to her. Do we know what Neil can afford? If he works for one contractor I know, he’s not being paid very well. Maybe he should ask his genie for a gold bar?

Neil is a real smart guy–NASA engineer contractor. How long is it going to take him to figure out 1) Araceli takes things literally; 2) Araceli has no understanding of slang; 3) Araceli has no clue about the modern world?

By the way, “cubical” is an adjective. The noun for where engineers sit is “cubicle.” A collection of them is known as a “cube farm,” according to the _Hacker’s Dictionary_. When something happens in a cube farm that is audible around the place, people don’t actually go to the apparent location as our two other engineers seem to be doing; they jump up and look over the cubicle walls. This is known as “prairie dogging.” (Might be less for Rudd to draw that way!)

“She’ll never return.” What? Is she riding the MTA with Charlie?

Panel 4: The profile view of Araceli is not very attractive. My art books all said that profiles are easier to draw than frontal or 3/4 views, but maybe not for every artist…?

I think the Blue Genie is not to bright,
she needs to get to grips with the 2011.

What Neil offers Araceli is not the hot dog, but time with her Master.

His taking charge, being precise and forceful about what he wants from her, is worth a thousand banquets. Those she conjure on her own, but a Master — ah, that must come from without.
