Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Made sense the whole high school prom Neil memory was erased. Plus, same explanation as last time. Maybe next time take pictures then show Neil for his reaction.
I have one question, while she changed the timelines, or even crated new ones, is she really powerful enough to correct them or have enough knowledge on alti-timeline theory? Which he is hinting to her here. I would think that a very powerful Genie would have to correct everything?
There was the website banner of the Jasmine matching the description Rodge gave over the phone, but not in-comic, at least not yet. Wish I could view banner history beyond my personal screenshots.
I wonder when and how Jeanie crossed into this timeline, and I wonder what happened to its Jeanie counterpart.
If her original timeline and this alien timeline still co-exist as separate dimensions or whatever instead of one overwriting the other, is the Jeanie counterpart she replaced experiencing a similar timeline swap scenario over there with the Neil we know trying to conform history and reality to memory? If she doesn’t come up with the idea on her own due to inexperience Neil could mention time travel to her instead, identifying the altered appearance as a new form of Jeanie’s she’s trying out. She could be simply elsewhere and elsewhen in the same dimension, Jeanie overwrote her, or she’s hidden within Jeanie in some way, I’m just speculatively paralleling here.
Would be interesting if that was the reason it happened, this Jeanie counterpart wound up in Jeanie’s timeline and made it more like home by meddling with Barbara Eden, and now Jeanie’s taking notice, on the way to do the same thing. A Jasmine and Jeanie loop of this wasn’t how it was supposed to go so they change it back, one after the other.
Presumably, in this timeline things went differently in several ways, including Jeanie not using her magic to travel through time (to his knowledge). Since the point of divergence is several decades in the past, any number of things could have been butterflied away.
iirc, the last time they went back in time was a causal loop paradox (getting a burger at the closed burger joint which closed due to paying with future(counterfeit) money)…which means this incident will also be jean’s fault.
It would be ironic if blonde Jeanie corrected the time-line by taking Barbara Eden’s place as the TV Jeanie, thereby ensuring that when Jean picks up the bottle in the future, he becomes the blonde Jeanie of the comic.
In panel one, it appears that Jeanie is swinging to music being played on the Sheraton’s public address system, and Neil ruins the mood in panels two and three. ♫ ♫ ♫
She was in the TV shows RAWHIDE and BURK’S LAW in 1964 AND 1965.
She also had major roles in the movies THE 7 FACES OF DR. LAO (1964), HE BRASS BOTTLE (not as a genie; 1964), and THE WONDERFULWORLD OF THE BROTHERS’ GRIMM (1964). Her first movie was in 1962. She looked as she did in her TV series.

Really? I don’t remember that.
Prom hasn’t been mentioned in canon since they returned, but that doesn’t mean Neil had his memory erased. It just means no one has mentioned it.
I think Brandon means “The version of Neil we’re seeing here is not the same one we know. It’s the one from an alternate universe where I Dream of Jeannie got canceled and Jean turned into ‘Jasmine’, instead.”
There are going to be other differences in their history, like (apparently) not going back in time to Prom.

The magic in this comic doesn’t seem to obey logic like that. You just have to go with it.
Ty
You tell him, jeanie. Nice button down shirt, Neil.
Changer out of the green t-short.
Agreed. Jeannie gets a new outfit ev=ach time; Neil deserves some wardrobe action, too.
Okay, he’s over reacting, and living in a separate time line. As typical, Jean is taking the wrong course of action.
Maybe next time just take Rodge he probably won’t freak out as much as Neil.
Rodge won’t even notice; he’ll have his eyes fixed on Jeannie’s boobs.
Wish we could have seen Jean as Jasmine.

Well, I save the banner every time there’s a new one I like, sooo… https://i.postimg.cc/gJn7qcX3/Jasmine-Jeanie.png
Thanks, saved me the trouble of looking through my screenshot mess. Failed to find it last night xD.
Thank you!

If they’ve gone back in time, then she hasn’t done it *yet*.
I’ve got to say, I really like Jeanie’s look with her hair down like this.
Yeah, it’s nice!
He doesn’t remember the other times…
This should be a major red flag, but this is Jean we’re talking about

Seems she decided the necklace was a bit too much.

Definitely an overreaction.
Thanks for reminding me, I gotta try that kibble burger recipe
Who IS Jeanie in this timeline?
Jeez Neil, stop being such a baby >>

Seems typical.
This is the go-go era: short skirts, boots, American Bandstand, and more.
We need more of Jeanie dancing.
We should see Jeannie as the Dancing Troll. Great outfit.
