Dang, Jeanie looks heckin’ CUTE in that dress!
Haven’t done one of these in quite a while, so have a full-rez extract:
Time, we go back in time again. Love the banner and dress.
Is that a real elephant and is he wearing Foster Grants? C. D. you could always design dresses as a side hustle. Thet are cute.

Jeanie has a point there, he really shouldn’t be so careless.

Not bad.
Obviously they’re in Cocoa Beach but the elephant got me looking. Known as Pinky, it was a big fiberglass statue made for Lee Caron’s Carnival Club, a nightclub there on the CB strip in the 60s and 70s. I found three pictures of it.

That’s a great idea: Jeannie and Neil should get dressed up and go out as twins, just to watch Rodge’s head explode.

Looks like it, and it has colour TV! One of the fun things you can do cruising the old pre-interstate US Highway system is guessing how old the motels are by what they advertise on their signs. The ones that say “Free Ice” are typically the oldest. We take so much for granted these days, imagine living in the era where AC or color TV was novel enough to feature prominently on a hotel sign.
Just follow the Burma-Shave signs.
“Hawk was gone, now he’s here. Dance til dawn, give a cheer. Burma-Shave”. as seen on the final episode of M.A.S.H. in 1983.
I do remember seeing “Color TV” on some older motel signs, back in my youth. Never saw “Free Ice”, tho. WOW.
I’ve never seen it on a live motel, just on some abandoned & derelict motels
Must have been pretty expensive ice, if offering it for free put them out of business! 😉
The length of Jeanie’s skirt changes between panels 3 and 4. Other than that, fabulous outfit.
It gets shorter, which is better. So why complain? 🙂
I’m not complaining, but imagine if it was short in panel three and got shorter in panel four.
Perhaps the hem length changes with Jeanie’s mood of the moment?
If that’s the case, expect it to change a lot.
She’s also showing a shorter shirt between panels 2 and 3, and I think her collar is showing less, tho her breasts may not be smaller.
Of course it gets shorter; this is now the 1960’s, remember? Micro-miniskirts were in! She’s probably also wearing go-go boots.
We need to see those.
If that skirt is a metaphor for the 1960s it should get progressively shorter until 1971. A lot of stuff people associate with the 1960s were really the very early 70s.
Agreed, people tend to group periods by the even decade mark, and styles, events and so on don’t really work that way. Stuff changes when it changes, and that’s not always on a year ending in zero.
That makes more sense than that she wanted Neil to have a better view.
Actually, 1971 or so was when “hot pants” were in, briefly. That would be something!

There are many reasons to wear sunglasses, the two primary ones being to protect ones eyes from the sun and because it looks really cool, Elephants are no exception to this rule

My guess is it’s a concrete decoration statue. You used to see them and sometimes still see them in front of tourist spots.

If everyone else thinks that Jeanie resembles Jasmine instead of Barbara Eden, so will Guano.
