A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Looks like they’re still in the middle of changing back, but… yes. Look at their relative heights, and compare chests, especially versus a definite “pre-changing-back” comic like https://jeaniebottle.com/?comic=jeanie-bottle-836
I wonder about the psychological aftermath of age mod. Nat got to experience a young girl’s life for a day, and the two kids got to be adults, and all that entails, taking charge and doing more than letting others fix things. I’m sure Dom and Callie might have started seeing each other as more than just friends, though they didn’t physically show it. The two boys probably saw no change at all.
The ramifications of the age/gender transformations have never been fully explored in canon, with the possible exception of Agent Anderson. The Greek Captain (Georgiana) and her adopted daughter (Thea) were forgotten, and Alex was (and may still be) institutionalized. I’ve tried to develop the aftereffects in fanfiction, and maybe I succeeded.
Note that I do not include Clarence/Tiffany in this, because her story is effectively fanfiction and was never developed by CD.
No, Red’s story isn’t fanfic. CD gives Hollum’s work the stamp of official canon, and they often collaborate on what can do in Melvin Chronicals while still being canonical with Jeanie Bottle.
Thus vanished Evil Neil……. Gone but not forgotten, he lives on. Where ever there are television reruns of the great olde shows, he is there. Where ever there is a large group of people, trap on an island, he is there. Where ever there is a revolving door of guest actors who make a 1 time appearance but then never return, he is there. Let him be memorable, as such things are.
Looks like Not-Neil was an avatar for the underwater entity and powered by Araceli’s fantasies and life force. Hope she wasn’t hurt too badly. That was probably a great deal of her power used to create all those characters, age change, and telekinetic manipulations. She may need a long rest to recoup her strength with real-Neil to nurse her back.
So, I guess everything should go back to normal for them at least.
Why go back to normal? I think it’s a great time to pull a hat out of a rabbit.
So, Jeanie won’t be confused by having two masters. Good, she could only take that the most wrong way, possible.
Wait did they swap back ages at the end? I couldn’t tell with how they’re draw

We can even see a little bit of progression in between the last two panels—Natalie gets taller in comparison to the other two.
Her bust also progresses more toward it’s appropriate size. 🙂
She is taller versus herself in the last panel as well. Notice the green tee-shirt covers less of the shorts.
I find it interesting that they knew Neil never came with them, and yet… they thought the fake Neil was the real one?
So, Fake Neil just defeated himself? kinda anticlimactic.
Well only Rodge knew that Natalie is Neil—even Araceli doesn’t know that.
If they go back to their original form, won’t they be infants?
Zygotes.
No, their original forms would be their bodies at the ages they were before the transformations.
Just making an obscure reference to the TV show.
It must be somehow related to a secomd story branch, but how?
The island’s hold on our heroes was broken once Jennie was permitted to return to her master.
We saw what’s causing this on the previous page.

Liam and Rodge remained blissfully unaware of Fake Neil’s “evil wizard” act.

Liam, ” What the hell happened to my boat last night!!!!!!!!!”
Rodge and Casey missed all the fun, but it was worth it to play Mario kart all can’t blame them.
You mean Rodge and Liam.

Amen.

She might be coming ’round.
What about the 7 stranded castaways?
Given that they were in the process of disappearing when Caley and Dominic were still on the island, I imagine they’ve also all vanished by now.
Nevermore.
