A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Sacks do tend to be brown… And it’s not the same shade of brown as her hair.
As for storylines meshing, they don’t usually do so. The story of Jeanie “training” with Kazom had no connection to Araceli’s introduction story, though they ran side-by-side. The Kendra-the-Korean-spy story had nothing to do with the Jeanie-staying-awake-because-she’s-afraid-of-her-bottle story. The Jeanie-summoned-to-Haji’s-Palace story had very little to do with the Natalie-gets-mind-whammied-into-being-horny-for-Rodge story.
It’s a sitcom universe thing. Many classic sitcom episodes have an A plot and a B plot. The B plot typically explains what the rest of the cast is doing while the A plot is focused somewhere else. Sometimes the B plot helps resolve the A plot, but usually not. Often the B plot is written in a way that implies the audience is missing a more outlandish story going on behind the scenes. B plots imply the focus characters inhabit in a much wider world while explaining the relative absence of the out of focus characters. A good modern example is the Big Bang Theory, which had an A and a B plot (and sometimes a C plot) in almost every episode
OK, now wait just a minute. Caley knows full well that Araceli is a genie, and can do magic. And yet, she DOESN’T connect that fact with, “weird things happening” ??? Who else could it possibly be?
If you look closely, you will see the creepy shadow of someone coming up on her from behind, that is what alerted her. To get the shape of the shadows just right CD must have photographed himself creeping up on some neighbor kid. With their permission of course.
If it were me, the answers could be: “Weird Science” by Oingo Boingo, “She Blinded Me with Science” by Thomas Dolby, “What’s He Building in There?” by Tom Waits, “Mr. Roboto” by Styx, “Magic” by The Cars, “Witch Doctor” by David Seville, “Strange Magic” by Electric Light Orchestra, “Black Magic Woman” by Santana (originally by Fleetwood Mac), or “New Math” by Tom Lehrer.
You forgot “You Can Do Magic” by America, “Abracadabra” by Steve Miller, “Magic Man” by Heart, “Witchy Woman” by the Eagles, “It’s Magic” by Pilot, “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” by The Police, “Do You Believe In Magic?” by The Lovin’ Spoonful, “Magic Carpet Ride”, by Steppenwolf, “Magic Bus” by The Who, “You Made Me Believe In Magic” by the Bay City Rollers, “This Magic Moment” by Jay and the Americans, and “The Sorcerer” by Gilbert and Sullivan.
Ah! New stuff. Thank you for the additional information. I don’t always check the Discord discussion, but I missed that.
But I will offer that one song is usually not long enough to reassemble an engine, even for an F1 pit crew. For some reason, that team of people can rebuild an engine in the 45 min to 1 hour time frame, which equates to roughly ten songs. Plenty of time for additional tracks in the playlist.
That was on page 830 in the comments. True, the lyrics she was singing are in the middle of the tune, but all Evil-Neil had to do was walk over to the radio, yank the microphone out, and walk back with a sack. That and she’s nowhere near finished with that engine.
I don’t know where she got the headset (maybe Caley?), but the following two songs on the album would be “Space Cowboy (Yippie-Yi-Yay)” and “Just Got Paid.” I’m not a fan, but Wiki is your friend.
She just flipped it over to the other hand, ninja style. You almost never need a watchet style wrench in each hand. Remember microphone to the left, bolt tightening to the right. Loosy lefty, righty tighty.
I’m guessing Fake Neil is an evil genie that was trapped in the underwater artifact and is using Araceli’s presence to steal her magic and escape his prison.
If that were the case, why not just use Araceli’s magic to provide a treasure map to the chest? Better yet, use her magic to float the thing to the beach where they can find it?
So, Natalie just got sacked literally.
I’m still trying to tie these two storylines together, something isn’t meshing right for me.
Also, if Natalie just got a bag put over her, then why is it the same color as her hair?
Too much not making enough sense.

Age alterations aside… I wonder who could possibly be causing all these strange events?
It’s the underwater thing from #797.
I forgot to add the [/sarcasm] notation.
That’s an ominous “Ack!”
If you look closely, you will see the creepy shadow of someone coming up on her from behind, that is what alerted her. To get the shape of the shadows just right CD must have photographed himself creeping up on some neighbor kid. With their permission of course.
LOL
So fake Neil probably put the sack over Natalie?
That would follow from the previous time we saw him. But CD does like to screw with our expectations.
Clearly it was the natives of Skull Island planning on sacrificing her to Kong.
I am amazed no one is asking the most important question!……. What song was Natalie listening to when she got sacked?

Robert has already identified it. “It’s Gonna Be Me,” by N’sync.

That’s assuming she’s listening to the album as recorded and not mixing it with something completely different.
Natalie’s probably listening to whatever was already in the device she’s listening to. If N’Sync is the group, it’s probably Caley’s headset.
On the tags area Derick is listed instead of Dominic
Sorry, that was my bad. Got my D names mixed up. I’ve fixed it.
Dom is not even listed on the cast page.
He doesn’t have a Character entry, either. We never decided to make him more than a tag. But maybe we should re-evaluate that.
Dominic and Liam both first appear in comic 571.
Natalie, that socket wrench you are holding can do an awlful lot of damage.
Nat appears to be to be using the wrench as a pretend microphone. She is acting more girly girl, preteen than a tomboy now.
Looks like she has one in each hand.

Ohhh, that’s an interesting idea!
And it is . . .
