It’s true that Misty is someone you can cosplay without double-sided tape, so …
She does have a pokeball on her bag, and the jewelry that the merchant is showing to her has a pokeball charm on it, so she is probably a fan.
She does look the part.
And Misty will be as a one of genies, right???
But in her world the only word she can say is ‘genie’

Is magical energy measured and metered?
In a way, yes. A genie is only given a finite amount of magical energy to use at the moment of their creation, when it is all gone, they die.
Not quite. They are more like rechargeable batteries. They have a maximum amount of magic that they can store at any one time, and if they use it all up, they have to go back into their bottle to recharge. However, the more times they recharge in their bottle, the less magical power they get back from the process each time.
Eventually resting in their bottle won’t recharge them any more, and when they run out of magical power after *that*, they die. This typically takes several centuries of active magic use, tho.
So then wearing themselves out is like a battery losing its capacity after too many charging cycles.
As for restoring Miami being easier than expected, Jeanie does have an excess of energy available, so she may have contributed more than Shula had expected.
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking probably happened.
Although it’s not a unit of measure per se, The more irredusable unit of magic is the Thaum which are themselves made up a various types or resons. A thaum’s-worth of magic can create a white pigeon or 3 billiard balls.

But is that an African pigeon or a European pigeon? After all, an African pigeon is worth many more billiard balls, a European pigeon, not so much.
Shula’s comment is interesting. It suggests she’s done something this big before and knew how much energy it should have taken. It also implies that either Asha secretly stepped in to assist or that she [Shula] underestimated Jeanie’s real power.
It’s a possibility. I wonder if it could be Ifta. Human will power, even if only a little could have helped a lot
Does Shula know about Jeanie’s power-up from Blue? She surely wouldn’t have been part of those genie councils where they discussed Jeanie being overpowered.
I think that is the most likely—she doesn’t know that Jeanie has the magic of several genies.
