Maybe the sorcerer is not even on the island?
Is it plausible that the young mind in Dominic knows how to start, and steer, an outboard motor?
Three words: “suspension of disbelief”.
I knew at around age 8. But then I spent my summers on a private island. My older cousins taught me.
His father apparently lives on the Lucky Minnow, so being able to handle a lot of the equipment makes sense.
Dominic’s dad owns the yacht this boat came from. He’s likely been trained on using the outboard boat for safety reasons.
In the first panel did you spell leave wrong??
Do you mean weave? Weave is a word.
I was 9 when I was taught to run an 18 hp Evenrude.
I think most of the outboard motors I had access to as a kid were Evenrudes. They were awesome. And I was about the same age.
Yeah. had a 7.5 FleeTwin that ran forever. Probably still does. Then they were bought out by Bombardier and they went to $#!t!
Who and why indeed . . .?
Could be a sorceress, you know.
Only when he’s Natalie.
This all goes back to a page starting on (https://jeaniebottle.com/?comic=jeanie-bottle-97). Araceli thought Neil trapped the people in the small box (TV) on an island.
Is the name of the evil sorcerer Sherwood Schwartz?
Aw, drat. I was about to suggest that.
Shirley you jest? 😉
DO NOT invoke that Name!
Perhaps the Howells and Ginger have been replaced by Shad, Gronk, and Mlor
Well the “It’s all a dream of the Djinya on the boat.” theory becomes more likely. The “people trapped in the magic box” was, after all, her first reaction to seeing Gilligan’s Island.
Uhmmm there is a point to this, seems a bit far off the path….????
It gets Caley and Dominic panicked about a sorcerer. Natalie and Rodge are likely to believe them, which then lends extra urgency to Araceli’s situation.
Given other circumstances I would disagree, but Natalie certainly believes in magic and to her a sorcerer is just another breed of witch (re: Sam on page 262) and after hearing the names of the castaways will probably deduce that Araceli’s subconscious is fueling the situation.
In Rodge’s somewhat diminished state (well, not really a lot of change to be fair) he might actually panic. The kids, however, seem pretty accepting of the situation.
Those two rocks are still on the beach but the boat is gone.
Good catch.
I was wondering when someone would notice!
