Jeanie Bottle 826
Huh? What could that mean??
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for the start of 2024’s Christmas Week of Updates! As is tradition around here, there will be a new Jeanie Bottle comic every single day between Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Seven consecutive days of comics in addition to today’s page!
Merry Christmas Eve! Love the Santa Jean and Nataile deer call back. And you never leave the island the old show rule.
What I’m wondering is Natalie just wearing a reindeer costume or did Jeanie turn her into an anthropomorphized reindeer.
Knowing Jeanie, I’m thinking the later.
I agree.
Yep. Jeannie isn’t into costumes when magical transformation will do.
The seven castaways could never leave the island, but there were more than a few guest characters who came and went.
I think the problem for the seven castaways are that they are in a time capsule. As long as they remain there they are immortal and young, but the moment they leave the island they will return to their true ages, which is over 100 thus turning them to dust
They were saying “we” can never leave the island, meaning themselves. That does not mean that nobody can ever leave, just them.
“Caley We can never leave this island”- Mary Ann
So wait, does that mean gilligans island is also the Island from LOST? That would explain a lot…..
Nah. If that was true there would be more people there now.
“Why not leave? Because if we leave time will catch up with us. We’ll all become our true ages. Most of us won’t survive, and those that do, will be utterly decrepit. No thanks. We could use some supplies, though….”
And on that note, MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!
And yes, that “card” is a favorite.
Is the answer “tax reasons” or “no statute of limitations” on boat insurance fraud?
Oooh. Good one.
Is the skipper guilty of barratry? (Damage to a ship at sea in order to collect insurance. There’s some oddly specific crimes on the books.)
Ohhh. Those poor people!
Oh, my God! You’re Thermians!
How is there insurance fraud involved? At the time, hurricane prediction was not a thing. The Minnow really is damaged. And if the Captain survives rescue, he seems reasonably entitled to any insurance payout he has coming. (Nice if he shares it with the others, or at least with his crew mate, Gilligan.
What am I missing?
G-g-ghosts?
Why can’t they leave? http://www.gilligansisle.com/sins.html
I know I’m a bit older than average these days, but this is well established.
That’s a wild fan theory. I like it.
“Caley, dear; we can never leave this island.”
This is starting to sound like the plot of a bad Star Trek episode.
Are they staying at the Hotel California?
Well, at least then they could check out any time they liked…
Wasn’t there a movie or something that got them out?
Yes, but at the end another storm dumped them back on the Island.
So, Caley and Dominic have never heard of Gilligan’s Island? Is it because they’re too young, or because “our” universes’ sitcoms depict real events from the Sitcom universe?
Has anyone else noticed that “I Dream of Jeannie” seems to be the only sitcom from our universe that was also a sitcom in the IDOAJB universe? Neil and Jean, etc. are constantly running into characters from other shows with no idea who they are or what show they’re from–obviously because they’re not from a show, they’re real people in the sitcom universe.
Maybe Aracelli was actually on to something when she assumed Neil’s TV was nefarious sorcery! Only instead of miniaturized people the magic screen is actually spying on *their* Sitcom Universe! But only at certain times of day. When nobody is naked. Between commercials. Maybe some kind of filter that only shows the funny parts? Actually, maybe the commercials too! I’m convinced Ron Popeil was not from this world.
Probably youth. Araceli was watching Gilligan’s Island on TV way back when, so the show exists in their world.

Personally, I still think that Araceli’s delirium has caused her to bring the Gilligan’s Island setting to them. GI was supposed to be near Hawaii, not near Florida.
Very good points. I would agree.
I’m guessing it’s the same reason why she asked about Johnson.
Since when is Neils agreement ever important?
