Chapter: Story 17: I Dream of Home Sweet Home
Well well. It seems that it’s not just their ship that’s here on this island.
By the way, be sure to vote in the poll we’re holding about the possibility of holding an IDOJB fan meetup.
Well, there is Gilligan and where is the Skipper to? And she is Caley.
Jeannie going the Puritanical Gothic look.
Hester Prynne?
Okay… So THAT’S the way this is headed.
Hey, Robert – In Panel 4, shouldn’t it be “Wait a minute”?? “Moment” sounds kind of British, and utterly unlike Gilligan, who regularly mangles English.
I think Gilligan is speaking Canadian.
I guess? It’s not really a grammar error, tho, so I don’t really feel like changing it, haha.
Try “just a moment”.
Great header. If I didn’t know it was supposed to be a Thanksgiving ‘pilgrim’ costume, I’d have sworn that Jeannie was trying to lure Neil with a French maid outfit. Woo-hoo!
What pilgrim – … (shift-reload) … Oh, great header.
We *really* need to fix that caching issue…
I can’t think of any way to do that except to change the image name for every different image. Because otherwise, all the caching is done client-side, and I don’t think there’s any way to turn that off from the server page.
Naw, she can’t be a french maid. She’s not wearing three inch heels.
Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, Gilligan’s Island….
Please, tell me you are going to include Knight Rider and/or Lt.Columbo at some point.
I’m afraid Knight Rider may be too new. Although it might be interesting.
There’s always the 1960-64 TV show, Route 66. They never actually filmed on Route 66 and had episodes in 25 different states, Mexico and Toronto. The final episode was in Tampa, Florida.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Route_66_(TV_series)
Rouyaa and Andy in their blank bodies could cover the “Route 66” topic. Albeit in a RV rather than a Corvette.
So was Dukes of Hazzard, but that didn’t stop it.
So many possibilities, even without getting into the strange stuff.
Don’t forget Star Trek: TOS was done in the 60’s and they had (IIRC) two episodes where they traveled back in time to the 60’s, once by accident, once on purpose.
And the on-purpose episode (“Assignment: Earth”) involved the space program. Such a connection.
Wouldn’t be too surprised to see the Addams around somewhere.
Ooooh – that would be good, too!
Hank Kimball? Richard Kimble? Hey, aerospace stuff ends up there, why not AF-709, “Rhoda”?
Then they never did get off that island.
According to the holy canon, they did… only to decide they couldn’t handle the outside world and went right back!
Canon contradicts itself. The Howells either had a son, or had no children. Reasons for Ginger’s presence on the island changed late in the series. (I ran across something on YouTube a few months ago, detailing ten scripts intended for the fourth season—and Ginger was going to get off the island and leave the other castaways behind.)
Gilligan’s Island was a basic sitcom. It’s as if each episode took the basic “situation” and started a new story from that. Continuity was always kept loose, so it could vary for the story they wanted to tell.
No choice. Jim Backus could only lie in a lounge chair and move his lips… to have a Howell character, they had to create a son.
Hester earned an A, I guess Jeanie’s going for an A+?
This can’t possibly end poorly.
Captain America lost $10 to Nick Fury making a wager like that.
somewhere in rudd’s world, there is an eccentric family living at 1313 mockingbird lane and another, even more eccentric one living at 21 Chester Place in Los Angeles.
Both good shows.
I would like to see a mockingbird lane crossover, in B&W of course 🙂
This probably won’t end up relevant, but remember that Bob Denver also played Haji’s son Harold on an episode of IDoJ.
And as Guano is the new Haji, and Jean is Guano’s wife….
Wrong again, she is not Skipper either.
No, I don’t think she’s your skipper either.
She could be Skipper.
If Skipper found a strange bottle in the lagoon :-).
Not in those shorts.
No, Skipper was a brunette. And a lot younger.
Except for that version of Skipper that grew four inches (in scale) taller and developed breasts when you raised her arms.
