about Panel 5, how can Neil and Natalie be there at the same time, without Jeannie abracadabraing this mess up?
My bet is that “Neil” is a creation of Araceli’s subconscious. He is clearly acting like how she wants him to be, rather than how Neil would act on his own.
That seems plausible. I can’t picture Neil making a speech like that on his own.
And given that Araceli has the hots for Neil, it makes sense that she might be dreaming about him. And evidently sleep-poofing up a copy of him.
Yes, Neil would definitely not be addressing anyone as “mere mortals” unless he were deliberately insulting their intelligence for some reason.
Neil wouldn’t address anyone as “mere mortals” under any circumstances, it’s just not his style.
Maybe I’m paranoid, but I don’t trust anyone who opens with a line like “Stand back, mere mortals!”.

@Kattgirl: Pretty awesome if you ask me. First, create a crisis by draining the genie of power that puts her in a coma, then come to her rescue with a Knight in Shining Armor apparition.
8/10 for inspiration, 2/10 for execution.
Considering the timing, it’s more likely he was conjured by Caley subconsciously tapping into the the genie magic drained by the artifact they’re parked on after seeing Araceli collapsed, especially considering how we recently had a scene talking about the perils of a human wielding genie magic.
Chances are, right now any desire, conscious or subconscious, is on a hair-trigger from becoming reality.
Well Neil and Natalie are separate Araceli gotten older from magic use what else has changed around the ship.
Just a guess here, but “Neil” is probably a manifestation of whatever absorbed her power down there in the treasure chest. It’s her power come to rescue her, her fantasy knight in shining armor, so to speak, but it is NOT Neil and probably has its own agenda.
Possible! But I prefer the idea that Araceli is poofing in her sleep. We’ll see.

Besides the obvious fact “Neil Knight” being a magical fake, does that mean Araceli just loves her perception of Neil rather than the real deal?
A magic absorbing/draining trinket would be useful to fight magical beings.
Well, Natalie might need to piece everything together to find the treasure that cause this and have a little fun along the way.
That might be difficult. No one saw Araceli collapse, no one saw her magic draining away (assuming that was even visible in the first place), and no one knows about the treasure chest. Those are a lot of missing dots to connect.
Now, there’s a possibility that this location was chosen by Liam because he has been here before, possibly because he has a treasure map that he was holding as a surprise for the others. (Hey guys, now that we’re here how about we go diving for sunken treasure?) Natalie might connect those dots.

It has to be a strange feeling seeing yourself arrive in a room. Especially when you are the one in the altered body.
Maybe she isn’t really Neil but thought she was Neil … I mean it’s crazy but I’m sure I’d question it at this point.

They are magical beings that seem to mostly assume the form of humans, so I would guess that they have a pulse. It would be interesing to find out, though.
Considering they are magical being capable of surviving in lava, I’m sure the answer is a solid “maybe”. You definitely can’t base any conclusion on her not having one: while human without pulse is almost certainly dead, with genie, it may be normal, suspicious but not dangerous or sign of danger.
Maybe it’s mentioned in genie manual?
Seems that some genies, but not all seem to be based on a humanoid, some more so than others. I could see some genies having a pulse, and others not. Example: Lahab, who is really an elemental genie.

Wait Araceli told Caley she didn’t need her anymore because she was going to serve Neil so maybe subconical swap there ages and created other Neil and Rodge Dominic and Logan were caught in the middle.
If genie Neil stays around can we also keep Natalie forever?
