A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
I get that they have all gotten younger, the question is why some are younger than others? Also, what has happened to the two kids? They don’t have that much age to lose.
We know that the cursed pirate treasure beneath the water is affecting Araceli. Perhaps she did something that made everyone into kids, possibly in response to Caley expressing a desire that they all be able to play together.
I mean, the comic’s updates are fine enough. It’s just that people would rather see this storyline over the typical boring genie political stuff. So what does that say about the comic?
its actually not the first time this happened. Remember that Jeanie previously de-aged Natalie during the trip back in time to act as dates for their past/former selves for Prom.
So I don’t think it will be to difficult for Jeanie to restore Nat back to the correct age and gender.
The issue here is that it is two genies’ magic stacked on top of each other. It takes a lot of extra effort for one genie to override another genie’s magic. The age regression was presumably done (possibly unintentionally) by Araceli’s power, so it will have to be her who will undo it. Jeanie may be able to reverse the Natalie part of the transformation and produce a young Neil, though.
I also look forward to seeing Araceli’s reaction to discovering that Natalie is Neil. Either she will think that Neil doesn’t want it, and will be angry at Jeanie, or she will think that Neil DOES want to be a woman.
There’s a discussion over on Discord that the age regression wasn’t caused by genie magic at all, and that it has something to do with the Fountain of Youth Ponce de’ Leon had been looking for. All it needed was Araceli’s magic to give it a kick start.
Ponce de’ Leon ironically was never looking for the fountain of youth. That story was spread years later by people who hated his guts to make him look like an idiot.
I suppose I should have added “allegedly” to keep it accurate, but almost everyone knows about Ponce and the fountain, even if it isn’t true. Much like Columbus discovered America when it was actually an island in the Caribbean.
I would think that after a while it would not be about wanting or not wanting, but just getting on with life. You have to build a new identity, but once you have it, being changed again is losing again.
I’m wondering if Rodge and Liam are even aware they have turned into, what, early teens? And if they haven’t, what about Nat? Talk about raging hormones now.
What if the Coast Guard stops by to check on things like they often do and finds a boat load of teenagers with alcohol and no ID.
But not right away. They might even have time to tie their boats together on tow it back to port. They would certainly have time to radio in that something is up.
Let me hug you. I really hope that authors would listen to us once. Instead of “oh, you want more yacht? Don’t tell us what to do! You’ll get more genie politics as a punishment!”
what is going on is that two kids are playing a console racing game while being on a big boat. What’s strange about that. Kids often waste a perfectly nice tropical beach by by staying indoors playing computergames
nah, they were faceless background character #1 and #2
nothings strange about faceless background characters: EVER .
If there were something strange about them, it means we were meant to pay attention to them, and the very fact that we didn’t means that there wasn’t
Here’s a switch… Caley and Dominick aged while everyone else regressed and Natalie is just another tween like Rodge and Liam, with tween thoughts and emotions.
I’d be more concerned about Natalie’s memories after the age regression is over. Even if she thinks like a kid here, it’s not likely she’ll forget she’s really a guy. On the other hand, if afterward Araceli is still able to grant Caley’s wishes and she wanted to keep Araceli’s being a genie a secret, Caley might make a wish that the rest of the people on the boat forget that they and the others had all been transformed by magic and instead remember having a wonderful day. That could make both Natalie and Rodge forget she’s really Neil.
And meanwhile for Jean, I legit hope she ISN’T able to simply cheat or deus ex machina her way out of this mess. All her life she’s done whatever is easiest, for her.
I’m reminded of Blue Eye Samurai, where a princess in an arranged marriage talks with a prostitute. And the prostitute tells her she’d switch lives with her in a second. This inspires the princess making the best of her situation (such as realizing she’s now the emperor’s closest confident and she can prey on his emotional insecurity at having just lost his father and NEEDING comfort his ice-cold mother is unlikely to provide.)
IE, it actually sinking in for Jean this isn’t a game she can just rage quit, and that this is chess, not arm wrestling.
Imagine if we get a time skip, and Jean realizes she’s now officially been a genie longer she was human.
Interesting thought, because I recently posed a series of fanfictions on Discord that almost fit that description. I Dream of Sweet Revenge, I Dream of Rhonda, and I Dream of Three Natalies 1 and 2.
Huh… I admit I was skeptical of the this storyline. But the last few pages have been really good 🙂 Thank you CD, looking forward to what comes next…
Also… Wait… CD? Are we getting a Donkey Kong adventure? Are Rodge and Liam going to eat a mushroom and become an adult again? Lol are we going to get Babie Araceli X)
Well looks like everyone got their ages changed because Natalie is a teenager and Rodge and Liam are now kids again.
what the Grand Star is going on here?!
YES we are finally back on the yacht
I get that they have all gotten younger, the question is why some are younger than others? Also, what has happened to the two kids? They don’t have that much age to lose.

you might be onto something, but we’re gonna have to wait a few more pages to find out.
Yeah, because we’ll shift back to the boring main plot and leave this interesting and fun one to swing in the wind for another couple of months.
The last time we saw her she fell asleep on the couch. She could be dreaming.
Now THAT was a long wait
Well, two months. Wanting faster updates is the inevitable curse of a good web comic.
I mean, the comic’s updates are fine enough. It’s just that people would rather see this storyline over the typical boring genie political stuff. So what does that say about the comic?
A double transformation on Natalie can’t be good for getting changed back..
Especially if Jeanie is stuck at the palace for any length of time.

Look at poor Clarence/ Tiffany/ Red. He was hit by genie and witch magic. He may never recover.
That’s assuming “she” really wants to.
True
I would think that after a while it would not be about wanting or not wanting, but just getting on with life. You have to build a new identity, but once you have it, being changed again is losing again.

What if the Coast Guard stops by to check on things like they often do and finds a boat load of teenagers with alcohol and no ID.
Considering this comic, the Coast Guard would get transformed also.
But not right away. They might even have time to tie their boats together on tow it back to port. They would certainly have time to radio in that something is up.
This storyline is MUCH more interesting than Genie politics.
Let me hug you. I really hope that authors would listen to us once. Instead of “oh, you want more yacht? Don’t tell us what to do! You’ll get more genie politics as a punishment!”
Actually I like both …
I like both as well.
They key point is the switch happens at a cliffhanger, an indicator of a good story teller
Me too. I’m fine with the two storylines.
I do listen and, “Oh, you want more Yacht story? Don’t tell me what to do! Next comic back to Jeanie and her genie Politics. That will teach ya!”
See Robert’s not involved in plot decisions.
Yeah, if I was, we’d be on the yacht, with adult Natalie, a LOT more often!
And a lot more wet swimwear, I’m sure.
Robert for president!
I’d vote for me!
VOTE ROBERT IN 2024!
I’ll get started on the yard signs. Given the existing field, he’ll be a shoo-in.
And in the last scene, Natalie complained about low ceilings. Now she fits.
Always look at the bright side.
Glad someone noticed that.
Well, I had to go back several comics to pick up on it…
Her T-shirt is now too large, too. Another giveaway.
Could this end up as CDRudd’s version of ” Adventures in baby sitting””? ( The Watch )
what is going on is that two kids are playing a console racing game while being on a big boat. What’s strange about that. Kids often waste a perfectly nice tropical beach by by staying indoors playing computergames
The odd part is that these two boys were quite a lot older just a few hours ago.
nah, they were faceless background character #1 and #2
nothings strange about faceless background characters: EVER .
If there were something strange about them, it means we were meant to pay attention to them, and the very fact that we didn’t means that there wasn’t
I wonder how long it will take for these de-aged guys to just enjoy the extra energy and voracious appetite their younger bodies have.
Might be more amusing if Natalie’s reaction is due to the boys playing video games so early in the morning rather than realizing something is up.
Here’s a switch… Caley and Dominick aged while everyone else regressed and Natalie is just another tween like Rodge and Liam, with tween thoughts and emotions.
Natalie’s memories might be regressed also, compounding the effect.
Exactly what I meant.
That would make an interesting long term twist.
“Baby Araceli” mght be ‘only’ 110.
110 and still looking pretty much as she does now.
Well, that’s the nature of being (quasi-)immortal.
What we need now is the coast guard to come across this yacht full of unsupervised children and take them all into care
Mario Cart.
Is that Rodge and the other guy?
