Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
So Jean made the compromise be Guano wife in name but many many years from now when he is ready. But Araceli deal is now up in smoke for her new uncle.
Probably the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command. They test pretty much every vehicle they can get their hands on even if it doesn’t have an obvious military use at first glance just to keep abreast of where the technology is going. Even seemingly silly things like the Segway become less silly when you realize their are more than 17 miles of hallways in the Pentagon.
I’m afraid that Cybertruck couldn’t have survived the test. If it did Musk would already be tweeting about it.

Proto-Bolos, anyone?
“I’m afraid that Cybertruck couldn’t have survived the test. If it did Musk would already be tweeting about it.”
If, of course, he were ALLOWED to tweet about it by the aforementioned Command.
Wasn’t U.S. Army TACOM testing “battle” Segways as a way to transport fully kited infantry? I vaguely recall something about that almost 18 years ago, and everyone having a good laugh. Until, you Google search today and find they’re using EZRaider ATVs.
“And Jean pushed Araceli out of the way to give Jeannie a hug. When Araceli was out to yell at Jeannie for ruining the moment, Jeannie told her that she was going to get a new uncle/aunt.”
Now that I think about it, does Jeannie know about Guano and Araceli being related?
Oh, huh. I actually changed CD’s original line from “flames” to “shockwave”, due to some comments made in the Discord about previous pages. But you’re right that Araceli isn’t super likely to know about shockwaves, and would be more worried about the flames.
I think you mean, “Hilarious!” Although perhaps, despite my efforts to avoid such, I’ve watched too much romcom anime.
I am going to give CD credit, though: he didn’t have Neil attempt to break his fall on Jeanie by putting his hands on her cushions–She fell asleep on him, and poofed them together into her bottle.
After all these year it would be nice to see Neil get a girl or a guy at this point i am beyond caring. Point is hes really nice and ends up with nothing at the end of every story arc.
“Point is he’s really nice….”
I think I see the problem. In Neil’s case, “nice” is all too close to “spineless”. He’s got a lot of self-discipline, but is almost completely unable to assert himself, even over creatures with a built in desire, even a need, to serve their masters.
How can any genie respect him? Aracelli is somewhat attracted to him simply because he’s not overtly cruel–but long term, she’d feel rejected because he’s completely wrapped up in his engineering.
I very much want to see Neil earn his genie’s respect, then her affection. Don’t hold out much chance for it, though.
Jeanie’s bottle in in line with the right curtain and is behind Neil and Araceli in panel one. It does not look like Araceli is complaining about the hug. “MMMM”. Does Neil know that Jeanie is expecting? Did Rouyaa ever get out of the wine bottle and since she is young again might cause some friction.

Huh, good point. Araceli won’t be bottling up Jeanie any time soon, now that she’s the wife of the heir presumptive of Haji.
Yup, Jeanie is now her “aunt”, which she will rub Araceli’s face into once she thinks of it.
Hmmm.
This is boding.
Not sure whether it’s boding good or ill … but definitely boding.
Hope Araceli poofed the cybertruck away from the test zone, too. I’d hate to see the truck put to such a destructive test.
If it survived the test, I’m sure the military would be very interested in getting some of their own.
From my understanding one of the branches is looking at getting a few of them. I don’t remember which branch though.

I *think* Araceli has mentioned that Guano’s her uncle to Jeanie at least once. But I could be wrong.
This is going to get very awkward very fast….
I wonder how Jean it going to react to this, especially given what she had to deal with the past couple of days in Haji’s palace.
What is that saying? Oh yeah…. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
How is Jeanie going to react?
She should realize that if she doesn’t Neil’s attention to wander, she needs to attract it herself.
I’m a bit surprised Arceli knows what a shock wave is.
It seems all is well. Why was he a bad nanny! Neils a big damn hero!

Perhaps explosion or ‘big boom’ (insert 5th element reference) might be more apt. It could be an indication shes learning more about the modern world.
Is this supposed to be the static test explosion on May 29th, 2020?
No, that was a completely different setup. No upper stages, and no strongback. Just a squat, fat tank, really. Wasn’t even capped off.
Jeanie ,interruptous, again! Neil can’t catch a break with his love life.
Yeah, Jeanie is so vain.
I bet she thinks this comic’s about her.
“…Don’t you? Don’t you?” Not, mind, that she keeps her cap strategically cocked over one eye.
thank for the week of comics. Master better quickly let go before Jean turns around. Or has she learn to share their master while being away
Well… this is awkward.

And suddenly being atomised by a rocket blast is going to seem like the soft option when “totally not clingy jealous girl” Jean turns around…

Panel 2, LOL. She wasn’t expecting such an enthusiastic squeeze. 🙂
Yay! Jeanie is back in the real world again! I love how small her waist looks in that last panel.
Nice detail I spotted: 1st panel; bookshelf has clean top. 2nd panel, Jean’s bottle on now there.
It’s stuff like that that makes me love this comic.
The bottle was there in panel 3 of page 612.
I’m trying to remember, was Jeanie jealous of Aracelli when she first showed up?
===
Ah, not jealous exactly, no. But friction for sure….

Shit’s about to hit the fan!!!
The shockwave just did.
