A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
You dragged him into a situation he knew nothing about, in a body he shouldn’t have even been using, and prevented him from using your genie powers to solve what could have been a very lethal situation…
The fact he survived at all is only because Araceli isn’t human.
She probably couldn’t respond to him because she could only talk to him through her reflection, just like the original show. If Neil had twigged to that he could have used the front camera on his phone to speak with her but there’s no guarantee that would have worked because that is not a reflection.
That likely would not work because Genies can not be seen by cameras, even electronic ones. Come to think of it, that would ALSO mean that any SpaceX people watching the launch pad on camera would not have been able to see Neil-as-Araceli either, which would explain why they did not react to “her” presence.
…And Neil is about to actually hug Aracelli around her dainty little waist! Go Neil!
But dude, you have got get those teen-appropriate posters off your bedroom wall. You are a grown-up now, and you have two sexy genies at your beck and call if only you’d wake up to that fact.
Wait–He has posters for the Wotch? Are those official?
While Neil could use wish to make Jeanie have sex with him, it wouldn’t be nice thing to do, and he can’t order anything to Aracelli so her being genie is not relevant.
… however, I suspect that Aracelli would totally agree to some sex.
Neil’s back in his apartment. He didn’t get zapped back there. He didn’t drive home, either; since we’ve never seen Neil driving, it’s quite possible he doesn’t have a car. The point here is that considerable time should have passed since Neil woke up back in his cubicle at Jupiter Two Engineering.
In that missing time, perhaps Neil got Rodge to take care of that little problem with the probe before leafing work. It would be nice if he did, because if he didn’t, he might be out of a job now, along with Rodge.
Speaking of being out of a job, how would Araceli still have her job as Caley’s nanny after all this? Then again, her parents seem to be so distracted that they haven’t noticed their child has a genie.
I don’t think Neil’s change of mood in the last panel is a mystery, though. This is the second time we know of that Araceli has put her butt in his lap.
A Master might have two Genies if he is in control of both of their totems, but a Genie can not have two Masters (barring situations in which two people are regarded as a single legal entity, such as a married couple in some cultures).
Well Araceli saved the day and we see a new room in Neils house thats not the living room pretty cool.
phew, I’m glad Araceli’s ok. what about Dominic?
Well what do you expect?

Not to mention she didn’t bother responding to him even he needed her the most!

CDRudd made some fan-art for it. He’s just re-purposing them as decoration.

We did have an entire chapter where Jeanie was trying to get Neil to have sex with her . . .
I don’t know … those posters look like keepers …

Why does Araceli address Neil as “Master”?
He’s not hers.
Cause Araceli wants Neil to be her master
Is there a rule in the Handbook that forbids a Master to have two genies?
A Master might have two Genies if he is in control of both of their totems, but a Genie can not have two Masters (barring situations in which two people are regarded as a single legal entity, such as a married couple in some cultures).
“No man can serve two masters!”
So Neil Dominic is okay but you owe Araceli big guess its time for a date night.
Is the red head in the poster Tiffani/Red or Anne and can we get a close up of the figurine on the bookcase?
I THINK it’s Sonja/Jason…
I *think* that figurine is actually the stopper to Jeannie’s bottle, sitting nearby.
It looks like you are reight. The bottle doesn’t have it’s stopper in the neck.
I don’t think so. It seems too narrow to be the stopper to me.
Aracelli looks so stern, and opens with a scold–but she is sitting in Neil’s lap with her arms around his neck.
She adores him. I find that a little heartbreaking, on several counts.
why is there a bed in the break room….im assuming neil is still at work
No he is at home.
I like the reference to The Wotch in the background.
that he is. nice he still her master
And she wears the heels again!
